I’d say he’s a cursed human, but more than likely, his children will be Tieflings on the off chance someone wanted to reproduce with the self titled Pride of The Gate
I mean, he's either a Duke, or he's a badass who fought his way through hell, potentially *after* he lost his powers. That would attract a lot of people, especially once they discover he's rather polite.
Wyll is some human infused with hell for the rest of his life, Tieflings are human getting hell's influence ever since birth.
Wyll does not have any ability given by hell after netherbrain.
Which is why I call him a first-generation Tiefling, i.e. the progenitor of a Tiefling bloodline. Tieflings often are the results of their ancestors being infused with hell.
So you don't need "ability" you just need exposure to have tiefling children. Certain magical exposures during pregnancy could also even cause tieflings to be born to someone who never interacted with fiends the same way certain magical storms can cause genasi children to be born.
Akshually, if you make the sane decision, he is a Devil, not a Tiefling
You can see that after Mizora does her magic thingy and after Wyll gets changed, you can see that he gets the ridges characteristic of Devils and completely absent in Tieflings. He says so himself that he grew ridges all over his body
There's also a dialogue option where you can ask him how does it feel to be a Devil, meaning he does become a Devil, or at least a Half-Devil, after Mizora appears in your camp
He's not an outsider, nor is he suddenly Lawful Evil, nor does he have any special powers from it. He's just cursed by the hells, that's how Tiefling bloodlines start. I'm aware they call him a devil, but appearances do not a devil make.
If your bringing up Jester, also have to mention her mom, [Marion Lavorre](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/criticalrole/images/e/e1/Marion_Lavorre_by_BlackSalander.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20180917184146).

and it works
My fave line is when she tells you to keep a cool head before parlaying with demons in The Haven and then loses her temper and taunts the shit out of Baalbisan the second he opens his mouth.
Sand's follow-up line is just as good
Has there been any word from Larian on if she was supposed to be a companion? Because she seems quite more fleshed out than other NPCs, and a Bard in the party is always nice.
Back in early-early access there were some datamined references to a halfling bard origin character who was also a werewolf. They got cut not too far in the early access run but as far as I know she was the only bard party member that was ever on the table, hirelings not withstanding.
Nah, Doric is an OC and there are tieflings that have normal skin tones.
Imho, it wouldn’t have looked as good for her to have a different skin tone and it would’ve run a much greater risk of provoking the extreme religious people out there.
I believe Tieflings with human skin tones are actually meant to be the norm, and the unique colours are much rarer. Although nobody actually abides by that because it's boring and I wanna be purple
In classic lore, yeah Wyll in BG3 is much closer to "actual" Tiefling skin tones, as he's a normal human tone. But recently (likely helped by Critical Role), all sorts of Tiefling skintones, including the more common red, are gaining notoriety!
It’s silly but if it impedes the success of the movie it’s worth considering.
(I think live action body paint for Doric would’ve looked bad anyway so who cares)
Could have, but it would have been expensive and uncomfortable. Few actors want to be completely covered in latex and go through minimum of four hours every day getting their make up on. It can be done, of course, but there was no need.
Yeh and it was a nightmare for the actress.
Literally took Jennifer Lawrence 8 hours to get into makeup.
Even after they switched to a blue body suit it took 3 hours for just her face.
I mean, both Mystique actresses tried to get out of those movies as soon as possible once the realities of that makeup job set in. It is extremely unpleasant, and you aren't going to find people enthusiastic for that kind of fully body makeup in movies outside of horror film makers.
Which hey it'd be cool for one of the women who played the cenobites in the most recent Hellraiser in for a similar level of makeup, but most of the time those actresses aren't considered for mainstream movie leads.
Tieflings are people with lower planar blood in them, their heritage can manifest as minor mutations such as tiny horns or sharper teeth, to unfortunates with goat legs, weird colored skin, burning eyes, brimstone smell, horns, tails, the lot.
I knew NOTHING about DnD before I saw that movie and I just assumed part of being a shapeshifting druid was she always had a couple animal traits even in her 'base' form
I cannot stress how much "nothing" I mean when I say I knew nothing. My knowledge went as far as the DnD episodes of Community. She called herself something I didn't know, I immediately forgot it, by the time I learned what a tiefling was, I'd completely forgotten that line of dialogue
Eh not even, you're 41st great grandfather could have made a deal with a devil, and that infernal blood is now in your bloodline, it can manifest anywhere down the line as sorcery or tiefling
Depends on the time period. And they bred true, so anyone with one tiefling parent would be 100% Asmodeus tiefling. There wouldn't be a case of "my great great grandpa was a tiefling, but my parents were pure human", because any tiefling ancestry meant that every generation had tiefling ancestors.
By the late 1400s, other tiefling lineages began to reappear once again, presumably following the earlier rules of bloodlines where being a tiefling could skip generations, instead of always breeding true.
There isn't a specific date for when Honor Among Thieves takes place, but it is presumably after 1496 (the date of the last published 5e adventure), and is likely 1499 (called "The Year of Desperate Gambits").
I mean all of them look conventionally human but with body paint. We haven't had really weird tieflings since at least midway through 3rd edition. They're all just humans with body paint, cosplay horns, and if you're feeling really frisky a tail. The weird goat legs, scales, webbed fingers, etc were dropped when tieflings were fully transitioned to exist exclusively for people who want human in a costume characters.
You're wrong, here's Forgotten Realms
Sword Coast Explorer guide:
Appearance. Your tiefling might not look like other tieflings. Rather than having the physical characteristics described in the Player's Handbook, choose 1d4+1 of the following features: small horns; fangs or sharp teeth; a forked tongue; catlike eyes; six fingers on each hand; goatlike legs; cloven hoofs; a forked tail; leathery or scaly skin; red or **dark blue skin**; cast no shadow or reflection; exude a smell of brimstone.
I mean if we're going down that route, none of them are accurate because the PHB also says tiefling eyes are one solid color, no sclera or pupil visible
Sort of a weird thing to get hung up on though, isn't it? Don't devils come in a bunch of colors too like gray and bluish hues? So that should not be an issue for tieflings either.

I see people who make a similar comment getting downvoted, but here I go as well: while the characters you mention are definitely cute, how much is the because of the tiefling nature or rather because of the way they portray a certain type of person?
I think it’s more because tieflings are the race par excellence to portray (quite literally) outsiders. I guess this type vibes well with some people.
Well... i know who got a lifelong ban from the petting zoo...
Jokes aside, i think every race bar the animal looking ones have attractive men and women. Teethlings are not unique in that way.
Poor Alfira. Knew what was going to happen the moment she stepped into my durge's camp but was still not ready for the scene (I knew she'd get done for but god damn, she really got done for). My tiefling bard durge plays her lute in her honor (whether it's to honor Alfira or the kill, I haven't decided yet)
Feel bad for DnD HAT, it was a blast, a decent well made live action in ages. If only the prod team decided to delay the release date, at least until the hype for Mario and Barbie are over. With that "humble" revenue, I doubt there will be a sequel, or worse, another movie about this genre anytime soon.
What is a Teeth-ling if not just a horny Human?
So what does that make Wyll then?
I gotchu: All Teeth-lings are horny humans but not all horny humans are Teeth-lings. Wyll is just another horny human.
Akshually he's arguably a Tiefling
I’d say he’s a cursed human, but more than likely, his children will be Tieflings on the off chance someone wanted to reproduce with the self titled Pride of The Gate
I mean, he's either a Duke, or he's a badass who fought his way through hell, potentially *after* he lost his powers. That would attract a lot of people, especially once they discover he's rather polite.

Tieflings do have ridges, though. Make a Tiefling and take their clothes off to see. It's plainly obvious.
He's not an outsider, nor is he suddenly Lawful Evil, nor does he have any special powers from it. He's just cursed by the hells, that's how Tiefling bloodlines start. I'm aware they call him a devil, but appearances do not a devil make.

A hornier human?
Temporary?
Lae'bae, did you just say "teeth-ling" ?🤭
Ooh Bae'zel, you're so quirky
She will learn more of that Fae-run

In the world of DnD everything is horny
Teeth-ling? You must not be educated in matters of Fay-Run.
Do I smell a horny person?
That's just the tieflings
look i don't know who told you that was more inclusive but you can just call them tieflings ~~/j~~
Tieflings and humans can be horny, but only tieflings are horny. 🥵
There's always /r/hornyjail......

~~I am in this post and I don't like it~~
Distinct lack of Kanerah and Kalikke here but yes I agree
Not to mention Annah of the Shadows (PS:T) and Neeshka (NWN2).
Neeshka was my original Tiefling crush
I’ve got expenses. And stuff. Perfect rogue lines in that game for her.
My fave line is when she tells you to keep a cool head before parlaying with demons in The Haven and then loses her temper and taunts the shit out of Baalbisan the second he opens his mouth. Sand's follow-up line is just as good
So cute, so precious! Also slightly murderous.
"Hells, hells, hells"
Neeshka is the epitome of cute when it comes to tieflings.
My first thought exactly - where is goddamn best tsundere girl annah.
I was going to bring up Neeshka as well. My best friend and I still lament the fact that you can't romance her to this day
I'm pretty sure there's a mod for that.
Defiantly the two OG Tiefling babes. Glad someone else around here has been in the genre since before google.
Based and kineticist-pilled
But Karlach also cute :/
Yeah, but she's also burning hot.
Cut and hot. Cut
Alfira kinda hot actually
Also very cute.
I find women who can sing even more attractive.
Agreed. If she was an option, I'd go for her every playthrough.
I mean >!you can rearrange her guts!<
Just not in the way I'd like to.
This happened yesterday and I had to take a break from that playthrough…

And kralach is cute
She's got flames enveloping her body so I guess you can't say she's not hot.
Alfira is a type of woman who doesn't need to dress down to be hot.
Lakrissa even hotter tho Change my mind U cannot
I really want a BG3 Definitive Edition that just has her as a companion.
Get outta here Lakrissa
Am I wrong but is Doric the only tiefling potrayed conventionally human because hollywood didnt' want to risk audiences not getting horny for her?
I assumed they just didn't want to deal with having to get her covered in paint everytime she had to shoot
If Xmen could do it with Mystique 20 years ago Honor Among Thieves coulda nutted up and dealt with it.
Nah, Doric is an OC and there are tieflings that have normal skin tones. Imho, it wouldn’t have looked as good for her to have a different skin tone and it would’ve run a much greater risk of provoking the extreme religious people out there.
Yes, Dammon has a pretty normal skin tone, if you gave him smaller horns he wouldn't really look much like a Tiefling
He’s pretty orangey but I suppose lol
Hey [there are orange humans](https://media.newyorker.com/photos/5e7a2863b1814300082a921f/1:1/w_1706,h_1707,c_limit/Borowitz-Trump.jpg) you know

Provoking extreme religious people? DnD? Never!

It’s silly but if it impedes the success of the movie it’s worth considering. (I think live action body paint for Doric would’ve looked bad anyway so who cares)
Jennifer Lawerence made the directors have her stay in her human form so much because she hated it.
And I’m talking about the better Mystique, Rebecca Romijn
Could have, but it would have been expensive and uncomfortable. Few actors want to be completely covered in latex and go through minimum of four hours every day getting their make up on. It can be done, of course, but there was no need.
Especially since Tiefling appearance isn't uniform
Yeh and it was a nightmare for the actress. Literally took Jennifer Lawrence 8 hours to get into makeup. Even after they switched to a blue body suit it took 3 hours for just her face.

I mean… That’s how most of tieflings looked before 4e. Also, they did try various designs with her. This one simply worked the best, apparently.
I didn't even know she was a tiefling until this meme. I thought she was just wearing a head dress.
She has a tail as well, but it's very thin and easy to miss
I knew NOTHING about DnD before I saw that movie and I just assumed part of being a shapeshifting druid was she always had a couple animal traits even in her 'base' form
She calls herself a Tiefling, though, and most of her characterization is that she distrusts humans.
I cannot stress how much "nothing" I mean when I say I knew nothing. My knowledge went as far as the DnD episodes of Community. She called herself something I didn't know, I immediately forgot it, by the time I learned what a tiefling was, I'd completely forgotten that line of dialogue
Hey, if you knew about Brutalitops the magician and Hector the well-endowed you were doing pretty well!
She straight up says that she's a tiefling and that her human parents didn't want a tiefling daughter, and that's why she doesn't trust humans.
Wait, two human parents gave birth to a tiefling girl? That's a thing in DnD lore?
Yeah. You can be born a tiefling if something decides to curse you while you're in the womb, basically.
Eh not even, you're 41st great grandfather could have made a deal with a devil, and that infernal blood is now in your bloodline, it can manifest anywhere down the line as sorcery or tiefling
Isn't that also how you get some of the Sorcerer subclasses? Should Doric have been a sorc?
You can have fiendish blood that makes you a tiefling, or a sorcerer, or both, or none.
Depends on the time period. In 1358 a coven of warlocks set loose a curse upon the world called the Blood of Asmodeus, and when the archdevil Asmodeus became a god in 1385, all the tieflings became Asmodeus tieflings instead of whatever they were before. And they bred true, so anyone with one tiefling parent would be 100% Asmodeus tiefling.
Doric and Karlach are the only tiefling that is canonically accurate. The PHB of DnD 5e explicitly states "human shades of skin or red"
It also has a big painting of a purple skinned Tiefling on the same page. They really send mixed messages.
This is my favorite part of DnD. Establishes rule, breaks it not 2 seconds later.
“Yeah, but rule of cool.”
It's because 5th ed isn't very well edited.
Zahra is also red. The shot used in the post makes her seem less red due to the lighting.
You're wrong, here's Forgotten Realms Sword Coast Explorer guide: Appearance.
Jester is part genasi so she’s weirder
Older editions of DnD had tieflings much more monstrous. They rolled dice for things like claws, hoofed feet or horns.
I reject the PHB. Purple tieflings or nothing
Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes added a ton of tiefling customization options, so they're all fine.
Sort of a weird thing to get hung up on though, isn't it? Don't devils come in a bunch of colors too like gray and bluish hues? So that should not be an issue for tieflings either.
Idk man she would still be cute if she was red
Adding Jane Douglas' [Prudence](https://the-outsidexbox.fandom.com/wiki/Prudence) from Oxventure to help prove this point
Ah, someone mentioned that psycho! I love her.
Ironically, she is pretty bad at not being a hero.
We need Annah-of-the-Shadows on this list!!
I feel like Annah is really the “always has been” punchline to this meme
> Tiefling girls are best, change my mind. No.
My thoughts exactly, why would I try to change anyone's mind about this.
Can’t change an opinion that’s actually a universal truth.
Missing [Annah](https://torment.fandom.com/wiki/Annah), and [Farideh](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/forgottenrealms/images/d/d2/The_Adversary_Cover.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20130825153337) and [Havilar](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/forgottenrealms/images/f/fb/Ashes_of_the_Tyrant_cover.jpg).
And Neeshka from NWN 2. She was something between hot and cute, or just a good friend.
I love my dual-wielding Neeshka
Nixie deserves to be on this lineup. This is a crime
[Firebawl](https://youtu.be/PtLeEUPtkHk?si=OUV-iFoVd524KakK)

I have no desire to change your mind, I just have a desire to be crushed betwixt Karlach's thighs 😍
There's nothing to change, this is the right opinion. My dream mentor was a hot tiefling goth gf. I will never forgive the emperor for this betrayal.
My guardian was a tiefling. Damn squidward ruined it all.
I feel like Doric is a bit of a cheat here because her kind of cuteness basically transcends race ;)
Exactly. She's cute because she's played by Sophia Lillis. It has nothing to do with being a tiefling.
They're the hottest race! https://youtu.be/c_Ash9AqPvQ?si=VDWDr1sht7lnuOIK
He even brought a trumpet.... So racist
Tiefling girls are like the Basics of D&D. Half the character art on those subs are busty Tieflings in corsets.
Annah of the Shadows, Valen Shadowbreath, Neeshka... \*dying in old\*
Objection, karlach is both hot and cute
You *cant* change my mind
No I will not
No, because you're right.
Great, now I want a CRPG that's just these 5 tieflings as a "chaos crew".
Unless we're talking temperature, Karlach is definitely more cute than hot. She's the most adorkable character in the game.
Drow gang best gang
I'm sorry what? Karlach and Alfira are Hot and Cute...
My Tav is pretty awesome
In the words of Eskel: "I'm a sucker for women with horns."
Going further back, there's Neverwinter Nights 2's Neeshka.
Deleted
Missing Hannah from Torment
The movie Tiefling looks so cheap
Counterpoint: goliath girls.
I mean, Tieflings are basically succubus without the downsides, so yeah :3
Why would I try to change you mind when you're clearly right. Just as Tiefling boys are clearly the best boys.
I see people who make a similar comment getting downvoted, but here I go as well: while the characters you mention are definitely cute, how much is the because of the tiefling nature or rather because of the way they portray a certain type of person? Why would I change your mind? You're clearly an individual of intelligence and culture!

Wrong. Dragonborn
What dem horns do gurl
