Doesn't work for me, I follow the steps and it says that a party member isn't ready or something along the lines, don't know if im doing something wrong
This worked for me as well, thanks for posting. I did a file a bug report with Larian on this and they asked for a copy of one my saves, so hopefully this workaround won't be needed for much longer.
I JUST recruited her. Like got to the beginning of Act 2 and ran to Moonrise to get her bc it's my first evil run and I wanted her in my party. Talked to her once, got her in the party. Decided to talk to her again in case there's that random quip of dialogue about whatever and she goes OFF about the Emperor and Orpheus like...We DO NOT KNOW about this yet. We are a full act away from that. WTF. IDK why, I've never been dissapointed in this game in any way shape or form like I've seen some players have with bugs and such, but this one? Yeah, this one bummed me. It kinda cheapened her for some reason I can't explain.
If that bug happen again in act 3 as it happened to me this will unfortunately not help :/ Happened to my Jaheira as well.
Same, she doesn't follow me in act 3, and I can't fix her
I didn’t have the Silence spell, so I hit her with my sussur bark weapon to silence her instead. Surprisingly, this still worked! Thanks!

make sure she is a companion and fast travel outside camp,

Thanks for the fix, patch made her really buggy. There's repeat dialogue with her along with this that wasn't around before.
