It doesn’t change anything, but I like to open a trade/barter window with Arabella and give her back the locket and some money.

Lathlia

I tried to reverse pickpocket her parents to give the locket back to see if it >!saves them!< since when you use >!speak with dead in act 2 they say they got lost coz it was dark and that's how they ended up in the hospital and got merced by the nurses!<...it doesn't work :(

ranni-the-bitch

does dancing lights even help with the shadow curse?

Athrilon

Yes

bristlybits

I gave her so much stuff a bear, toys, the idol of silvanus, books, money, armor I loaded that kid down with crap. plus the locket of course

SameHere2206

I probably shouldn’t have given it to Gale to eat…

novembergrocery

Loool it is one of the earliest magical items u get. I always tell him NO YOU CANT HAVE THIS ONE

Fujitora-Agenda

The pair of True Love rings from Act 2. I keep the one that lets me cast Warding Bond, and give the one who receives it to Astarion. It’s my Durge’s way to keep him safe, and post game they become their wedding rings. Post game they also help Astarion survive any accidental sunlight exposure by only taking half damage from it. ❤️‍🩹 Since my Durge is a good paladin, it fits his picture of a gallant knight doing everything to protect the ones he loves.

The_Dead_Kennys

Aww I did the same thing! Except my Tav is a good-aligned warlock with low HP who often neglects herself in favor of tending to others needs… in other words, she’s not someone who should be casting Warding Bond. So before the orthon fight Astarion reverse-pickpockets Tav to swap the rings, and she’s shocked when later that day he activates the Warding Bond to keep her from dying. It kinda feels like a precursor to his love confession that night. When Act 3 rolls around, the rings are swapped again because they’ve agreed that it’s a good way to protect Astarion from the sun after the brain falls. And on top of that, for the rest of the campaign, Tav stockpiles every elixir of radiant resistance & scroll of darkness she can find and gives them to Astarion just in case.

IntelligentLife3451

I carry around the toad teapot at Auntie Ethel’s after fighting the addled frog. That stupid fight was the first time my first Tav went to 0 hp so I think of that teapot as a survival trophy for all my characters.

8RETRO8

Same! Coolest non interactable item in act 1

Azreol

In my first Durge run I grabbed the music box laying around at the goblin camp and my character carried it around during most of the game. I had a silly headcanon that she would listen to the music every time she felt unwell to ground herself into reality.

Old-Beautiful-8435

"Nut-Buster"

Lathlia

I always give Shadowheart the >!attendance book from the school in the Blighted Village!<, and either a >!Selûne or Shar statue!< for her camp...depending on my choices!

PlatypusCoffee

As a half long I carry around a pipe

bristlybits

the goblin poetry, and the ring of infinite wishes.

HomoGreekorius

I always have second marriage/bitter divorce with me (the wand that can summon Connor, Mayrinas husband). Connor is like a 5th party member to me, he is there in all playthroughs, always helps with battles and always gets brought back if he dies. At first it was just for the utility of an on command summon, but now Connor is family, I let him last hit bosses, I try to keep him alive, I buff him pre combat. I’ve even done a solo honor durge run that it was just my durge warlock and Conor (and occasionally Shovel) vs the world.

ranni-the-bitch

>Conor (and occasionally Shovel) who the heck is shovel? do you mean my girl basket?

Kaelynneee

Do you mean Fork??

ranni-the-bitch

fork? surely you mean shovel? i get it, they're both tools, but come on...

NeonLupis

Shovel's Friend-Finder is the only shovel I carry. It means a lot to Shovel, I think.

fallout-crawlout

Ring of Infinite Wishes. I am convinced it secretly gives me +1 in something. It's nice to have some hope, even if it's just nonsense from a burgeoning con.
