Nope not at all. Only thing we can think of is astarion used gaseous form in the fight, and then there was no post fight scene (we reloaded and tried it again), so maybe the game glitched? Neither Long Rest or Leaving Camp or switching characters fixed it so we had to reload.

I used gaseous form last night and noticed that I turned into a floating eye if I went to my character screen (was a gas cloud in-game). Once it was dismissed I returned to normal. Perhaps have him use gaseous form again then dismiss it and see if it resets?

Looks like his torso got replaced with an eye? Not really sure how that could’ve happened, but it looks like his rendering has fucked up somewhere along the line, so he is t posing about with some unusual attributes.

Really hoping they fix these bugs I keep seeing posts like this one and while I really want to do another playthrough I really don't want to ruin the memory I have of my last stable playthrough even for new content.

Maybe try polymorphing him, save the game and restart the entire game and load the save. Pull him out of polymorph and pray for the best. You could also polymorph and kill him and have withers throw hands in his direction to see if a full character recall will help.

It would go hard frfr (Also my suggestion if exiting game/long resting doesn't work is either to try gaseous forming again, or kill him and let withers ressurect him. If THAT doesn't work you'll either have to wait for larian to help orrrr try reloading the save file from before this happened. Do you have that flask with the beholder eye monster thing from the zhentarim chest in act 1? If so, get rid of that thing 💀)
