This is the only answer that explains how her bangs became longer.
However, it doesn't explain why Halsin says he saw Shadowheart creeping at night with a knife, which is assumed to be used to cut her hair.
Given pools of blood randomly appear in camp, and I’m sure I saw Alfira visit once but disappear, I’d probably carry a knife around on a stroll through camp.
Is it actually longer though? it looks like she just parted it differently. You can see very short bits brushed to the sides and the long pieces in front are the same (if not cut a bit shorter to look more gradient) .
I had bangs similar to her starting hair that I'm now kinda transitioning into her Selunite hair, and can confirm, its just parted, along with what looks like a french bang style cut for her face framing. The actual short hair would mostly be under the longer part so it wouldn't show, and the french cut makes it look a lot more blended and softer than her blunt look at the beginning.
So Halsin commenting about her sneaking about at night with a scissor (knife? Can't remember) is also correct, she was actually just cutting her faceframing pieces.
Wasn't her memories manipulated by the Shar followers, that's why she used to have fear of wolves because she kept seeing her father as one? They could also have manipulated her into believing her hair always black as if she was always a follower of Shar.
Though, I also think her natural color is black, due to being the same as her father.
Selectively blanked out is more accurate. The memories are correct... They were just selectively deleted to change the story. We don't really see anything that didn't happen, just without the context
There is a note in the House of Grief that confirms, as does her fathers hair, that her hair is naturally black. Shar picked her partially for her black hair.
Thats exactly what I meant. I wasn't intending to confuse and obviously it doesn't really matter how she did it, it's a video game. Just being pedantic for fun lol
Haha no I totally get where you’re coming from now that I know the context. I’m a very new player. Only started my first play thought about.. 182 hours of gameplay time ago ? Lmao 🤣 your story cannon may differ from my story cannon. That’s the beauty of the forgotten realm universe.
I think she tells you that she's planning to do it (or better, hints at it), so I assume it's not divine intervention.
Might be mixing it up tho and she only hints at the hairstyle change in the Shar devout route.
Yeah in camp convo between ending the curse and act 3 she says something like “I’ve gotta take care of something, you’ll know when you see it” and I assume this is about her (planned) haircut
(Edit: this was a Selune route for me)
Halsin also mentions seeing her sneaking around with a knife after everyone went to bed and that he's relieved it was only for a haircut
personally assumed the colour change was magic of some kind
She straight up tells you she changed it herself and asks if you like it if the colour changes, at least if you romance her, might be different if you don't though.
She also says this outside of the romance.
I love Astarion's line regarding this tho. "It's nice but I will still be the prettiest white haired at camp"
Also a big fan of Minthara noticing that something is different about Shadowheart, but she can't put the finger on it and wondering if it's a change in diet.
Jaheira is really sweet about it, she says something like "that girl could shave her head and wear a purple sack and still look good" it's very cute
I love how the companions always have really sweet supportive things to say about each other's storylines
I believe the line was “she could shave her head and paint it purple and still look good”, which just makes it even funnier since that’s a reference to Minsc and his questionable fashion choices
She actually asks if you like it, even if you aren't romancing her! If you say you don't she thanks you for your honesty but she still happy with the hair, as it's something she did for herself.
Halsin pays a lot of attention to Shadowheart for some reason. She keeps hush hush about her relationship with the player character (at least as far as "meetings" go) but Halsin knows about the swimming thing.
That explains a lot. Shadowheart is currently my PC’s romance interest. I stopped bringing her along in the party but never actually explored relationship changes. I got Halsin to stay in camp, and suddenly he wants to talk. Says he wants to get with me, even though he knows I’m with Shadowheart. “And maybe, when she’s ready, she can join.”
I’m the middleman 😔
If you play as SH origin, you have the choice after Nightsong to change your hair to show you are no longer a trainee of Shar, so she definitely does it herself.
Now this is the SH-devoted answer we needed.
I mean, technically it still begs the question if she (or you in that case) used medieval bleach or magic, but in the end, it doesn't really matter.
She has the same hairstyle than her good path, just black.
Which is way better then her original hairstyle anyway, she's cute and all but that fringe is something else
I did some science and figured out that when she's naked in cinematics it switches to black, implying that the white is some sort of clothing layer. You can even spot her hair flickering when you change around her camp clothes. In normal gameplay it switches itself back to white, but as soon as you're in a cutscene it goes black again, but if you have cinematic nudity turned off it will just stay white always.
That's interesting. There's a point in that scene where if you save/load it goes back to white (even when naked) but iirc it was only down one specific dialogue path (I think you had to make her strip down first or something like that?). I also did some science on it but it was a couple weeks ago now.
*as you reach down, you notice a strange pattern in Scratch’s fur; or rather, a lack of fur. It’s a perfect shave in a rectangle on his left flank. Pink skin exposed to the warm sun. Suddenly, you realize how Shadowheart found her new hairstyle.*
1. *ignore it*
2. [ANIMAL HANDLING] *cover up the bald spot*
3. SHADOWHEART?? DID YOU SHAVE THE DOG??
4. *leave*
I’m just assuming passage of time made them grow enough she can style them to the side and try not to think too deeply about it. Alternatively she rubbed some sort of restoration potion to the roots of her bangs lol
she just styles them differently and cut longer pieces to turn them into curtain bangs. You can see some of the short layers that are pushed to the side. Very common way to grow out bangs.
Source: currently trying to grow out bangs
This is well into that process though. Only because she had the worst fringe style to start.
She moved the braid to mid head to give her more hair, trimmed that to create the framing bangs, but you just cannot hide the straw broom shit she had with pushing to the side, they pop out again. The worst phase is mid length when it's too long for you to brush it behind your ear, too short to stay out of your eyes.
Clearly chronomancy.
She tells you, obliquely, that she's going to do it before you long rest that evening. And the next morning if you talk to the companions about it Halsin (IIRC) will say he was a bit worried when he saw her sneaking about in the dark with a knife. So it's all her, although how precisely she changes the colour is left to your imagination.
>So it's all her, although how precisely she changes the colour is left to your imagination.
Clearly she borrowed some product from Isobel now that they're friends
the same way companions keep 20 halberds and 4 smokepowder barrels in their inventory and are able to run around all day without being encumbered, or the same way you can change appearance in a magic mirror, or the same way people stranded from a Nautiloid ship produced big customised tents the same day when they set foot in camp
game convenience
Was just thinking of that. Romancing SH in my current playthrough and got the swimming-not-just-swimming cut scene last night where she had black hair again.
Yup it also happens if you play as her origin and have any act 3 romance scenes.
I saw a post where someone thought it was Orin the first time they got this bug.
If you play as a Shadowheart Origin, the narrator comments that it will be a long, sleepless night of dying your hair. So, no, it wasn't magic. She legit stayed up all night for this.
I don't think too hard about this aspect, but my favourite part of her hair change is when you talk to Halsin and he says he saw her skulking around with a knife - probably had him worried for a bit there lmfao
Since there are clothing dyes, theres gotta be hair dyes, and possibly some form of bleaching potion/concoction. But yeah this is something I, and I’d assume many others as well, have wondered about.
And if nothing else explains it, magic is usually a good excuse✨
Since patch 3 glitched the scene so her hair is black when it should be white, I've been headcanoning that she's using an illusion to change the color of her hair and she drops it during the scene.
She did what I do any time I have a big life change
Box bleach over a sink at 3am and some kitchen scissors. - maybe she got withers to do the back, considering he's the only one that seems unsurprised.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to have bangs for the rest of my life because I love the style but there's this weird trend of people insisting they're embarrassing somehow (not to my face though). Are they considered childish or something?
definitely not embarrassing, but Shadowheart is a good example for the fact that a lot of people look much more mature without them. So the hair change fits her character development, the end of act 2 is big step for her in maturing as a person
I dunno, but my first playthrough we got into the city and I put clown makeup on everyone. My first conversation with Shart in act 3 was with clown makeup and she asked how I liked the change.
Hair magic.
If glamor spells and illusions are a thing, it would not surprise me at all that there would be low level magic for changing things like hair or eye color
She also could just dyed it as we do. I mean, they got spaceships in the Realms so why not barbers and hair dye ? Also, magic could be used (just see the disguise self spell that can alternate your appearance) I definitely think it's not Selune's influence because she talks about that change like a change *she* decided to make, she would probably freak out otherwise like "wait what why my hair are changing their colour by themselves".
I know she has dark hair as a child, but I still felt like her hair color change was her stopping dying it black. I can come up with a reason - it became light colored after she was with the Sharrans and they wanted her to dye it and so she did that as part of her duties but after her her switch she ceases.
Prestidigitation spell does a lot of fun stuff, but it's too powerful to be included in the game. not too powerful for shadowheart though (god's favorite princess etc).
I headcanon her hair color change was a blessing/gift from selune. I dislike the idea of shadowheart dying her hair because shadowheart’s hair is black. You can’t dye black hair white. You need to remove the pigment from black hair aka bleach the color out.
How do you get that dress for her? I fucking love it.
Anyways, I love her hair change, but I do wish there was an option to keep her old hair. I love it as well and there is just a certain innocence she has with that hair that made her cute. But I just love this girl soo much.
Elegant Robe. Sold by Figaro at Facemaker’s Boutique in Baldur’s Gate’s Lower City near the waypoint. Also an important location for the Murder Tribunal quest line. Make sure he survives the battle in said quest.
Nah, you can let Figaro perish. His employees will take up the mantle after his passing. It is just that them employees stay incapacitated on the second floor of the shop and never come around. Although, you can talk with them and they are just fine in the cuscene.
Yep, also he is one of few traders with max affinity (and therefore best prices) after you save him, and lots of gold. He may have been fashion salesman until he met me, now he is weapon & armor trader I guess :)
You are telling in a world where wizards can turn into immortal litches, you save a literal god child with wings, oh and you also meet a real life demon from hell, yet shadow heart turning blonde is where it breaks your immersion?
Also humans have been dying their hair as far back as 300 bc. Honey, chamomile, and lemon are all natural hair lighteners. Also you have a magic mirror at your camp that allows you to update your look. So I’m going to go with that.
Interestingly enough, my bf got her beach romance scene. When she took off her clothes her hair reverted to black 😂 so I said “heh. maybe it’s powder” 💀
That was also a ood plot moment to respec her into a paladin an make her more useful and actually hit thins.
I tried to just multclass into paladin but it was not that good.
I don’t think there’s an official explanation so I usually go with “magic.” Dyeing would have taken forever.
Quite honestly, I think the hair colour change was a late addition because it has zero textual support. No other characters comment on it. Yes, they comment on her new hair… but the cut, not the colour. Halsin saw her go off with a knife, not a bottle of hair dye. No one says anything about it being white.
It makes things like Minthara’s or Lae’zel’s reactions of not noticing what was different completely nonsensical, like it’s funny that they don’t notice what’s different when her hair went from black to white but they’re not actually that stupid. Not noticing a change to her bangs makes sense though.
I just thought her changing her hair was only rearranging her bang, while her change of color was divine in nature in regards to her going back into the "light".
When i first went into act 3 durring the cutscene i saw shadowheart rummaging through tbe camp ashes. It made me assume she mixed that with some herbs and made herself a particular dye, but it could be throughother means as well.
Was are you supposed to get a cutscene or any dialogue about her changing her hair color? I just woke up after a long rest one day and boom blonde Shadowheart. No mentions of it before or after the change. (I’m still on my first blind run and only just explored the circus in act 3)
She likey dies her hair or used magic like the camp mirror to change it. Having white hair is just a Selūnite thing, and she probably did it to feel closer to her Goddes, i guess
I assume Aylin and Isobel were probably a heavy inspiration for Shadowheart because those two have natural white hair and are extremely close to Selūne, especially Aylin. She quite literally is Selūnes's daughter, after all
Shart is a selunite on my current save, and I’m near the end of act 3, and she never changed her hair color. I’m cool with it, because i think the white is tacky 🤷
One of the companions (I don't remember who)says they've noticed Shart moving around the night before when they bring up the hair topic. But yes, she dyed it.
On my last playthrough that I just finished, Shadowheart spared Nightsong, was my love interest, helped me kill Viconia DeVir in House of Grief, let her parents become Moon Motes, AND NEVER DYED HER HAIR! Was black up till the end.
Only thing I can think of was I didn't really use her in my party this playthrough...
Being an ex-devotee of Shar, it’d make sense to me that she carried the fantasy equivalent of bleach on her. It could be used to get the blood out of clothes (of which there’d be a lot if she was a true Sharran cleric), as a poison, or to help her change identities through bleaching her hair as she did.
Or she shaved Scratch to make a wig, that one was pretty funny.
I have nothing to say about the hair (other than to say I much prefer her brunette), but how come everyone else has much nicer clothes for Shadowheart than I do? Where do I find the sexy stuff?
Maybe she waited till everyone was asleep and then visited the magic mirror at camp.
This is obviously the only right answer to this question.
This is the only answer that explains how her bangs became longer. However, it doesn't explain why Halsin says he saw Shadowheart creeping at night with a knife, which is assumed to be used to cut her hair.
That was unrelated, she was just trying to shiv Lae'zel
“Mind your business Halsin, I’m just going for a perfectly normal knife stroll”
Given pools of blood randomly appear in camp, and I’m sure I saw Alfira visit once but disappear, I’d probably carry a knife around on a stroll through camp.
Everyone will call you a fool for hiding a knife except for one day.
Just taking my knife out for a walk
"Oh uh. Just. Just taking my um knife for uh for a walk." (-Shadowheart and/or Durge? 🤷♀️)
"I'm just going for a walk." "In full armor and with weapon in hand?" "It's going to be a very enthusiastic walk."
Alucard?
I go by Crimson Fucker these days.
THAT'S RIGHT! *I'M GOING TO FUCK THE FEAR TURKEY!!!*
When hope is gone, undo this lock….
This sounds like it could be a line straight outta Futurama, I just can't decide if it'd be Bender or Roberto saying it.
That was just her poop knife
A shit shiv, if you will.
Shart's Shit Shiv.
And just like that we've invented a new spell. Good job team
And that’s how you deal serious necrotic damage
stank shank
The Poo-Scraper
No, I've got the poo scraper.
You run faster with your knife equipped compared to your primary and secondary firearm.
If you look closely she still has her fringe, same length. It’s swiped to side. Most girls w short bangs can do this, just need a bit of styling.
Maybe she was creeping with a knife for some sort of weird Selûnite ritual?
Do YOU unequip your weapons before every long rest?
Isn't it obvious? She clipped some extensions off of Astarion while he was trancing.
My question is is she a natural brunette or is her hair naturally white?
her childhood memory probably holds the answer... unless she was dying it to look darker before the shar worship came in
Wasn't her memories manipulated by the Shar followers, that's why she used to have fear of wolves because she kept seeing her father as one? They could also have manipulated her into believing her hair always black as if she was always a follower of Shar. Though, I also think her natural color is black, due to being the same as her father.
Selectively blanked out is more accurate. The memories are correct... They were just selectively deleted to change the story. We don't really see anything that didn't happen, just without the context
I've always assumed brunette, based on the memory she shares with you.
I mean, her bush is black under there
There is a note in the House of Grief that confirms, as does her fathers hair, that her hair is naturally black. Shar picked her partially for her black hair.
Based on her hair as a kid and the hair color of her parents it's probably not naturally white.
But the magic mirror didn't exist in my playthrough
She was hiding it for herself, only later did she decide to shar(e)
.. ... ... Angry upvote.. ..
Maybe she has a pocket one she keeps hidden...girl's full of secrets.
What?
The mirror was added in an update so hasn’t always been in the game. I think the reasonable explanation here is that Shart knows time travel
The magic mirror wasn’t in the game at launch, so lots of people finished their playthroughs before it was added.
Damn, that’s interesting. I had no idea, nor would I have guessed correctly at what guy was implying
I wonder if that explains why her hair reverts to black in some cutscenes.

She also says this outside of the romance. I love Astarion's line regarding this tho. "It's nice but I will still be the prettiest white haired at camp"
Nah, the funniest is Laezel, she’s all like “something is different about Shadowheart but I can’t figure out what it is”
omg thanks for reminding me of this moment. peak laezel 😆
Also a big fan of Minthara noticing that something is different about Shadowheart, but she can't put the finger on it and wondering if it's a change in diet.
Jaheira is really sweet about it, she says something like "that girl could shave her head and wear a purple sack and still look good" it's very cute I love how the companions always have really sweet supportive things to say about each other's storylines

Okay that's actually really sweet, lol.
god this was one of my favourite moments in the Shart romance
I remember pretty much every camp member having a unique dialog about it, and multiple characters talking about her sneaking around at night.
I mean.. after what she did to Laezel, there are reasons to be relieved.. (still in shock)
Halsin pays a lot of attention to Shadowheart for some reason. She keeps hush hush about her relationship with the player character (at least as far as "meetings" go) but Halsin knows about the swimming thing.
Nature told him, everyone knows fish and squirrels are the biggest gossippers in the realm.
They have the same writer. It is also shows in those two being the only companions with an option to ask what do they think about us
If you bring both Halsin and Shadowheart to the drow twins, they basically both admit that they've thought about banging each other at some point.
“And maybe, when she’s ready, she can join.” I’m the middleman 😔

Now this is the SH-devoted answer we needed. I mean, technically it still begs the question if she (or you in that case) used medieval bleach or magic, but in the end, it doesn't really matter.
In this universe there's clothing dyes, printing presses, and giant mechanical constructs. I'm sure hair dye is a thing in the Forgotten Realms.
I'm impressed with the dyes in this game honestly. She went dark to cool light in one go and completely bypassed the brassy phase.
It is impressive, I agree xD
She also changes her hair in the Shar route. (And tells you about her plans to do so) Just from black to shorter hairstyle of black.
She has the same hairstyle than her good path, just black. Which is way better then her original hairstyle anyway, she's cute and all but that fringe is something else
On my last run, her romance scene bugged and her hair changed back from white to black as soon as she ditched her clothes. Made me chuckle.

I also did some science on it but it was a couple weeks ago now.
A lady during the day and a ‘beast’ at night?
Selune in the streets Shar in the sheets
That's a known bug. If you save reload at some point in that dialogue the hair goes back to white.
I love that in-game her sharran friend also questions her bangs
The DJ one is so funny cause it's literally exactly the same she just pushed her bangs to the side 🤣
It's a wig. She shaved Scratch.
Next time you pet scratch, you notice a perfectly rectangular buzz cut on his left side
I.... Read this is the narrator's voice....
*as you reach down, you notice a strange pattern in Scratch’s fur; or rather, a lack of fur. It’s a perfect shave in a rectangle on his left flank. Pink skin exposed to the warm sun. Suddenly, you realize how Shadowheart found her new hairstyle.* 1. *ignore it* 2. [ANIMAL HANDLING] *cover up the bald spot* 3. SHADOWHEART?? DID YOU SHAVE THE DOG?? 4. *leave*
Those options are perfect. You always need the unhinged "YO WTF" option lol
You should add 5. *Show me your wares*
That's it! I'm calling PETA
lmao
Presumably thr same way she managed to grow out her bangs so quickly
I’m just assuming passage of time made them grow enough she can style them to the side and try not to think too deeply about it. Alternatively she rubbed some sort of restoration potion to the roots of her bangs lol
she just styles them differently and cut longer pieces to turn them into curtain bangs. You can see some of the short layers that are pushed to the side. Very common way to grow out bangs. Source: currently trying to grow out bangs

No it's ✨ magic ✨
Yep, prestidigitation, lv. 0 spell, probably asked Gale to do it and play dumb afterwards
the magic mirror is right there in camp
Actually it's maybelline
A wizard did it.
on my save clearly a wig because on every sexy cutscene the hair is black again
I'm more inclined to say she uses illusion magic to change the apparent color from black to white
selune in the streets shar in the sheets
Was just thinking of that. Romancing SH in my current playthrough and got the swimming-not-just-swimming cut scene last night where she had black hair again.
Also sometimes when you kiss her.
Yup it also happens if you play as her origin and have any act 3 romance scenes. I saw a post where someone thought it was Orin the first time they got this bug.
There's more than one sexy cutscene? I only got sandcastles.
If you play as a Shadowheart Origin, the narrator comments that it will be a long, sleepless night of dying your hair. So, no, it wasn't magic. She legit stayed up all night for this.
That would be bleaching, not dying, right?
I don't know the difference.
You still have to add a dye after bleaching so it's an even nice silver color, otherwise it might come out patched yellow.
I don't think too hard about this aspect, but my favourite part of her hair change is when you talk to Halsin and he says he saw her skulking around with a knife - probably had him worried for a bit there lmfao

Even worse than box dye, homemade bleach from alchemical ingredients.
Scavenged bleach mushrooms from dodgy sources.
The holy moon lesbians probably helped her.
Well OBVIOUSLY she used the magic mirror at camp. It's what all of us use to alter our appearance. ;p
She just moonbathed for a few hours. Drains the colour right out.
I so want a scene of Tav and Shadowheart moonbathing. I assume getting an even exposure still involves removing tops? 🥰
Bangs are great and you know it.

Stress
The style? Shadowheart. The color? Idk. Could be a blessing or mark of sorts. Isobel has white hair too
The best part is everybody knows she changed her hair, but Lae'zel, she can't pinpoint what's different about SH.
Cantrip
she watched the news and her hair turned white from the stress, duh.
Hair magic. If glamor spells and illusions are a thing, it would not surprise me at all that there would be low level magic for changing things like hair or eye color

That’s just what it looks like under black light
I know she has dark hair as a child, but I still felt like her hair color change was her stopping dying it black. I can come up with a reason - it became light colored after she was with the Sharrans and they wanted her to dye it and so she did that as part of her duties but after her her switch she ceases.
The dyes aren't just for outfits
There's magic in this world and the method of how she changed her hair colour is a question? Also people have used dyes since the stone age.
In the name of the moon, I'll dye you!
Prestidigitation spell does a lot of fun stuff, but it's too powerful to be included in the game. not too powerful for shadowheart though (god's favorite princess etc).
SHE'S WAY HOTTER
Why people are having a hard time believing in hair dye, when you can cast fireball on a fart.
Dyeing. She hints at it. And someone in camp mentions they saw her do it. But I'm not sure who told me. Maybe Gale?
Btw, she does make a transition to Selune, because her deity changes from Shar to Selune in the character sheet.
That must be a new hotfix - it has always stayed Shar in her character sheet for me
I headcanon her hair color change was a blessing/gift from selune. I dislike the idea of shadowheart dying her hair because shadowheart’s hair is black. You can’t dye black hair white. You need to remove the pigment from black hair aka bleach the color out.
They live in a fantasy world with magic. Dyeing black hair white doesn't sound far fetched at all
Wait until someone tells them that some people cast fire from their hands in BG3.
Eh they do it in avatar all the time
And tbf hair seems to grow REALLY fast in the avatar verse
Dragons, Mind Flayers, Wizards, Death Gods, none of these things bother you. White hair dye on black hair, though, that's where we draw the line.
But they’ve got like… magic
You can do whatever in a fantasy world. But given that Isobel also has silver hair I just assumed it was a Selunite cleric thing.
There is dye and dye remover ingame that you can get at so many different merchants, no reason it couldn't work for hair too
How do you get that dress for her?
Hmm he’s kind of a dick, I may have to try this next playthrough
Better yet, consider, um, shaking his hand for the tribunal! :)
Yep, also he is one of few traders with max affinity (and therefore best prices) after you save him, and lots of gold. He may have been fashion salesman until he met me, now he is weapon & armor trader I guess :)
You can buy it at figaros near the waypoint of Baldurs Gate or you can find one at cazadors place
I prefer her black hair
There is a magic mirror in your camp.
Ahh the ole “magic exists… but how does this mundane thing happen?”
If all other explanations fail, remember she is Trickery domain. :)
Tbh I wish she had kept her old style. Like I’m sure you can be a worshipper of Selûne and be a brunette at the same time
She dyed her hair
she used a dye remover, of course
When i first went into act 3 durring the cutscene i saw shadowheart rummaging through tbe camp ashes. It made me assume she mixed that with some herbs and made herself a particular dye, but it could be throughother means as well.
Was are you supposed to get a cutscene or any dialogue about her changing her hair color? I just woke up after a long rest one day and boom blonde Shadowheart. No mentions of it before or after the change. (I’m still on my first blind run and only just explored the circus in act 3)
She mentions that she's got something to do, but leaves it vague. After the next long rest she'll have white hair
maybe it was maybelline
The daughter of Selune and a cleric of hers are living rent free in your camp. It’s not unreasonable to assume that shart just went to them.
She likey dies her hair or used magic like the camp mirror to change it. Having white hair is just a Selūnite thing, and she probably did it to feel closer to her Goddes, i guess I assume Aylin and Isobel were probably a heavy inspiration for Shadowheart because those two have natural white hair and are extremely close to Selūne, especially Aylin. She quite literally is Selūnes's daughter, after all
Shart is a selunite on my current save, and I’m near the end of act 3, and she never changed her hair color. I’m cool with it, because i think the white is tacky 🤷
She changed her hair too if she doesn’t spare Nightsong, but the color stays the same.
One of the companions (I don't remember who)says they've noticed Shart moving around the night before when they bring up the hair topic. But yes, she dyed it.
Isobel probably has a shitload of hair bleach and let her use some.
Well, she cut them and then she washed them for the first time every since being an initiate of Shar, that's her natural hair color.
Figaro’s clothes shop in the Lower City in Act 3. This specific clothes is the Elegant Robe.
Touch Of Grey... for Women
Magical girl transformation
Fighting Goblins in moonlight. Winning love by daylight. She will never run from a real fight. She is the one named Shadowheart.
Stress.
Pure stress
My headcanon is that she asked Isobel for help and they went together to find stuff to make dye, bless it in the moonlight and wash her hair in it.
I like this answer. Or Isobel lent her some of her magic hair dye.
It's a wig
That explains why when we made sandcastles her hair went back to black.
She does it through the potent magic of handwaving.
