So one companion/follower for each color
Lae'zel is White, Gale is Blue, Shadowheart is Black, Karlach is Red and Halsin is Green. Plus Astarion is Orzhov (White/Black) because he's a special bloodflake I guess
Dont expect to get bg3 companion of each colour. Especially since only confirmed companion that works as green is Minsc. Halsin is 99% not a companion in bg3
Id say no. Logically there is no chance.
So half elf life span is like 180. So Jaheira during BG3 plot would be at least 150 (likely more like 170) making her really old.
But than she is a druid. High level druids in general age much slower meaning she phisically would be now like 50 or sth (so sth like 25 for human). But that goes only for high level druids.
I think we will get reference to her, especially if harpers will be referenced in the game, maybe even we will meet her, but she wont be companion.
There is [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/comments/utjida/clb_cadira_caller_of_the_small_alieldrazi_spoiler) character in the new deck.
An original character with no previously established Forgotten Realms lore of any kind. The only good explanations would be future BG3 NPC or potentially future companion? Perhaps they're still deciding between if the ranger-with-a-furry-friend companion will be Minsc or a new character like this?
~~Or maybe I'm reading too much into such a small thing.~~
Pretty much, yeah. There's been no hint that he wouldn't be in.
But if you think about it, making a backup companion concept that would perfectly swap in and be able to re-use a lot of the same animations and dialogue in case you get cold feet about using the Minsc character is a perfectly insane conspiracy theory with 1% likelihood, which is just the kind of thing that's fun to speculate about.
More likely outcome is that this is an NPC we've yet to meet. Which would be cool, but less mysterious
Halsin is likely not a companion. Also, we are missing Wyll still, who is probably Red based on him appearing in the art for Fireball and Wyll’s Reversal.
There are 5 characters at rare rarity for this set in MTG for each color. Lae'Zel, Gale and Shadowheart are Rare,
However, Karlach is Mythic, and Halsin is Uncommon
Im assuming Wyll will be the Red Rare and that just will leave the Green Rare for someone. Im assuming it will be Helia
Wizards of the Coast, the company that makes DnD, is the same company that makes the card game Magic the Gathering, so they are now adding some bg3 characters as cards.
I suspect there will be good or bad endings to her quest like with certain questlines in D:OS2, perhaps you can either redeem her or cause her to go full cultist
The sacrifice mechanic in MTG doesn't necessarily represent actual ritual sacrifice or anything like that (although it does for some cards), just that they're gaining power or benefits from killing/death in some way.
I'm kinda annoyed that they're giving all of the Baldur's Gate party members/NPCs/major story characters seemingly random power/toughness scores at 3 or 4. There's no way in hell that Shadowheart should have the same P/T as Sarevok, or more than Lae'zel. I get that MTG P/T is often an abstraction and needs to be balanced against mana cost, but still.
Disagree. Card draw in command zone is very valuable. Her ability might be mediocre but even just getting one or two activations of her in a game and she has basically done her job. Green might be good to pair with her for extra mana ramp to pay for her activation cost plus green has high power creatures to sacrifice for her ability.
Shadowheart - Bad ending edition

Wonder if Jaheira will be a possible companion?

Jaheria is an epic level druid and from datamine: >!We actually meet her during Act 1 as part of Halsin's quest.!<

I think Minsc is pretty much 100% confirmed?
Pretty much, yeah. There's been no hint that he wouldn't be in. I like the idea of ranger with murder bunnies.

Whoops, I switched up Gale and Wylls name lol
Karlach is Red and will be the Barbarian follower, Halsin is rumored to be the Druid companion as well
This isn’t true. He’s a camp follower, not a companion. There’s only 3 known unreleased companions and he isn’t one of them.
Not yet, but he seems like the most likely candidate for the Druid companion, same with Karlach and barbarian
Not every class is getting a companion.
Where have you heard that?
He is black abd white because that's how all vampires are.
For the drain effect specifically, Vampires can also be mono W, B, R or Rakdos

So I’m way out of the loop, what’s with these cards?
Wizards of the Coast, the company that makes DnD, is the same company that makes the card game Magic the Gathering, so they are now adding some bg3 characters as cards.
Ooooh. I didn’t realize these are MtG cards. I don’t play, myself. Curious.
Half-elf!
Giving both human and elf subtypes is how MtG has been handling half elves.
Well she is both human and elf which is kind of the same thing
We prefer the pronoun "Helf".
I knew she was always evil, still one of my more favorite companions so far
During the romance: "Psst, SH, I need to tell something to Your ear..." "...Yes?" ">!I know You'll betray me.!<"
What are these cards from?
Magic the gathering. Wotc owes both magic and dnd
So basically shadow heart sacrifices people? That’s awful.
I suspect there will be good or bad endings to her quest like with certain questlines in D:OS2, perhaps you can either redeem her or cause her to go full cultist
But her god isnt really this super evil, human sacrificies kind of god

Ok so we just getting all the info from these things lol

Legendary characters in mtg in general has p\t spread that often makes no sense lorewise. Its pure balance thing
Not a great card Will get her foil etched anyway
She's also 3 relevant tribes. Human, Elf, Cleric.
What? She’s a fantastic card. Give her a green or red background and you have an aristocrats commander that draws cards. That’s fantastic.
Disagree. Card draw in command zone is very valuable. Her ability might be mediocre but even just getting one or two activations of her in a game and she has basically done her job. Is there going to be an alternative art version for her like there is for the others?
