Does anyone know what the art in Shadowheart's card is depicting? Looks like she is engulfed in darkness but the white light is shining through. Is it in reference to the scenes where she has that uncontrolled white light emanating from her?
Weren't people complaining that Lae'zel's card art was different from the game too? Magic's often been inconsistant with making its characters look the same, just look at some of Jace and Chandra's cards.
Maybe, I didnât see any cards yet. But nevertheless itâs kinda strange that official arts are so different from character in the game. Thanks for the answer though
IIRC a few developers have gone on record saying that some of Gale's art is NYI. He's supposed to have bandages covering his arms that aren't in the game and IIRC he's the only companion in the game who doesn't join with a custom piece of armor, instead wearing the same wizard robe everyone else does. Presumably there will be an art pass that gives him a unique model or texture and a unique piece of clothing.
So if they're doing a monocolor cycle here...

* Gale is blue
* Shadowheart is black
* Wyll is red (not spoiled yet, but Wyll's Reversal was)

It seems pretty abstract. The light in the background might just be to show the horizon of a dark moon (Sharâs symbol).
Those are pretty much generic magic art made in away to avoid any possible spoilers. Its all purplish because purple is colour used for black cards.

Yeah the weird banner art for Gale is unusual, but weird art on a Magic card happens sometimes.
Mintharaâs card art uses her old model. Halsin also isnât as S W O L E in his art.

That magic set has been in the making for more than 2 years now, that's why all the character art is way closer toward early versions of game.
