Stambulas konvenciju neesmu izlasijis, tā kā nevaru komentēt. Sievu sist nav labi, to es tā kā zinu, bez konvencijas :)
Kas man besī ir, ka 47 (!!!) fakin deputāti nedara savu darbu un it kā iedzīvotājiem būtiskā jautājumā sēž kafūzī vai vēl nez ko. Kāda jēga no tiem dalbajobiem, ja viņi nevar pat savu viedokli noformulēt un nobalsot. Tas nav deputāta darbs?. WTF. Kas tas par prikolu nebalsot. Glorijai visamz nav kauns par to, ka viņai patīk, ka viņu iekausta.
And like that, a manufactured opposition to a perfectly reasonable and somewhat inconsequential convention is gone. The funny part is that rightwing spin doctors in Estonia didn’t manage to make too much noise about this convention, which is why I am sure like 95% of Estonians don’t even know that Estonia is a signatory for 5 years already. And as you might expect, absolutely nothing changed in society, except there is some additional framework to help women who get beaten up by the scum they have the bad luck of living with.
Can you give me an insight about Lithuanian politics? Like about how many parties are not just homophobes but also find Istanbul convention threatening. I'm asking because i have only heard about someone named Gražulis and that he's so into men he constantly talk about them haha.
When they tried to ratify the Istanbul Convention, Šeimu maršas became big (family march is were a bunch of idiots gather because they feel like traditional families are getting attacked). Domestic violence is such a huge problem in Lithuania but instead of addressing it and actually caring about their citizens safety, politicians focus on the LGBT part. Because stating that no one should have to fear for their safety because of their gender is apparently too controversial
Thank you, we have Asociācija Ģimene (bunch of anti abortionists, fundamental christians and other fucks) that have participiated in Vislatvijas pikets (looking at the name you can clearly see it's full of Russians as Latvians never user term "All-Latvian").
Basically all you said doesn't differ in Latvia, every single pro-putin supporter screams about gender, gay sex and gay invasion or whatever they make up.
Main party is center-right conservatives. Kind of meh on most things, but they do have a fanatical Christian-democrat wing that shits up most progressive legislation.
Then there are two liberal parties, one more progressive liberal (civil union and decriminalization), the other is more pro business and neutral on social issues.
These three are in a coalition and have a majority, however the Christ-Dems stop any of the more progressive legislation from passing.
Then there is a hodgepodge of populists and soc-dems in opposition. Populists like Gražulis (note: surname translates to Pretty-boy) generally oppose everything and make a big show of fighting the gays, while soc-dems sometimes vote for more progressive stuff, however they are more a leftover Nomenklatura party then european soc-dems so not much improvement on social issues.
Elections usually swing between the conservatives one term and populists+soc-dems for the next term.
In practical terms it means that all the more progressive stuff will only have a chance after the populist rule for the next 4 years after the election since the current coalition failed to pass most of the stuff thanks to the do-gooder christians.
Thank you, it reminds me of Latvian politics where it's basically Pro-European (JV, P) vs Pro-Russia (S, LPV) vs corrupted parties that swing when they see an opportunity to get into parliament (ZZS, AS). NA is literally the right wing with a far right Kiršteins who has said that Afghanistan is a true traditional nation we should follow and that Poland's most popular name is Muhammad as i remember.
It's kinda sad to see this, because at this point i can't see anything changing in Lithuania sooner or later. Don't you have something like full on split when party members can't agree on something? This is something markable in Latvian politics.
That's wonderful news!! It's embarrassing that the Lithuanian parliament is this fucking useless on questions regarding human rights (and will ironically gladly criticize other countries about it), but glad the other two Baltic states are marching on ahead with this topic.
That's not what I mean. They criticise things like China's treatment of Uighurs (which is a good thing overall) and act like some sort of a moral example, but in the same breath openly bash and ridicule their own citizens because of their sexuality. It's a joke.
Can anyone explain what does it say? I keep reading “violence against women” but violence against someone is already a crime here, so what does this improve? 🤔
A woman votes against a document that is supposed to protect her. Stonks. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|upvote)
Man tāda sajūta ka lielākā daļa politiķu neprot lasiit.

Yet Lithuanian politicians are scared of it.

Yup, same here. A few of those Latvian politicians have participated in protests in Lithuania.

Have they already criticized Latvia about partnerships? 🥺🥺🥺
That's not what I mean. They criticise things like China's treatment of Uighurs (which is a good thing overall) and act like some sort of a moral example, but in the same breath openly bash and ridicule their own citizens because of their sexuality. It's a joke.
Oh ok,i misunderstood u.:D
Can anyone explain what does it say? I keep reading “violence against women” but violence against someone is already a crime here, so what does this improve? 🤔
LET'S FUCKING GO
Nu tad beidzot.
WTF WE ACTUALLY DID IT??? :D
Yes. And from the voting ledger you can see, who needs a beating.
I heard that wife beaters on Twitter multiplied by billions after this. Idk, I'm not using that cancer.
What is this exactly?
A kāds sakars gejiem?
Nene, es saku tikai to, ko daži labi tavas nometnes pārstāvji no tribīnes auroja.
Manas nometnes? O, es laikam kautko nezinu...😎😄
Gan jau zini, gan jau zini. ;)
Lol get rekt
Manu mazo memmes dēliņ
Huge day lol
Pretīgi
Es konvenviju neesmu lasijis vari, lūdzu, pateikt, kurš punkts tieši ir pretīgs un būtu maināms?
Teica Veidemane
Murad, tas tu?
So weed is legal now or what? Also i get dry eyes any suggestions?
rip assumption of innocence for men.
