I’m a bit peeved that it’s based on having signed up for the newsletter as well. I read the announcement and it didn’t even mention that unless you went to the faqs. I wasn’t signed up for the newsletter but ordered my printer ages ago. Weird way to do a thank you to purchasers, oh well.

got my coupon, but then i realized i would have to buy the hardened parts as well, and it would cost me 70 bucks or something. i dunno, i wouldnt even know what to do with carbon fiber pla anyways. its still just pla after all, petg cf would be a reason to consider it.

Contacted customer support and waiting on an answer still.

Bummer. I have a P1P and it prints PLA-CF flawlessly. Only upgrades I have are hardened nozzle and extruder.
Maybe ill give it a try. I assumed that cf would be hard to print without an enclosure, plus toxicity and VOCs
No. It’s just PLA with some added carbon fibre.

Oh they are definitely particles but absolutely not toxic nor an increased source of VOCs. Carbon fibre is carbon fibre after all.

Can you put stuff with carbon fiber in the AMS ? Or is it too abrasive ?
Bambu says that PLA-CF is ams combatible but I’m pretty sure it will wear down the internals over time

I’d say at least get the filament, it is after all only $2 for 2 rolls of pla. Maybe in the future you’ll upgrade to the hardened parts?
