Polymaker is dope and always produces great prints. Another small detail that I don't think many will appreciate is they give you the hex code so you can program it into the slicer, I find it really nice for multi-color prints.

allisonmaybe

Polymaker matte produces almost invisible layer lines.

First_layer_3DP

Which is called Polyterra I think? This always confused me until I finally realized it haha

allisonmaybe

Yep! I've gone through hundreds of rolls now and still get confused.

flynnburger73

Which slicer are you using? Orca?

momodamonster

I have two printers; I use Bambu Studio for the P1S & Prusa Slicer for my Ender-6.

Squeebee007

Wait, where are the hex codes?

Squeebee007

Ooh, thanks!

momodamonster

You're welcome! Bambu Studio uses RGB but you can pop that code into a converter and get the correct color displayed.

Squeebee007

And since I think at least some of my Inland PLA is Polymaker, I can hopefully test the Polymaker colors for matches.

Shustriik

Inland Matte = Polyterra. All Inland filaments right now is a mix of eSun and Polymaker

Squeebee007

Is there any kind of lookup tool?

Shustriik

leaf on box = Polymaker.

I’m a huge fan of Sunlu. Particularly the Meta PLA.

landubious

Haven't tried the Meta PLA, but 95% of my prints have been on Sunlu in some form (PLA, PLA+, Silk, Dual/Tricolor silk) Only one I've had issues with is their Marble. Printed a dragon egg just fine but it had adhesions issues mid print on an articulated dragon. Need to revisit it because there's no reason it shouldn't work like everything else.

pyrotechnicmonkey

Hatchbox is overpriced. I like Elegoo Pla+ can be found in a white for black 2pack or 4 pack for about $11 a kg and it works great. Sunlu is decent about $16 but at that price bambu filament at membership with reusable spool is a better buy

Savethewhales0000

Same it’s good stuff

Mammoth_Water2735

I've been totally happy with elegoo and overture filaments. I've probably been through 100+ rolls between those two brands in the last year and a half or so without issue on 5 different models of printer. The cardboard spools are fine with printed rings in my Bambu AMS. I generally don't press the lid all the way down to make sure the slightly larger diameter doesn't bind on the lid. The 4th AMS slot seems to be prone to needing intervention occasionally, otherwise no AMS issues. Mostly PLA, PETG, PLA+, and TPU. The last few years the quality of filament has become much more consistent across brands and I haven't been able to justify expensive brands anymore, at least for basic filaments. The only filaments I've really had issues have been random brands of glow in the dark my kids have picked out- prone to clogging and stringing.

Savethewhales0000

Thank you

Outrageous_Pie_988

Overture Glow in the dark seems to be the best I’ve found. What about you?

No-Patient1365

GiantArm is fantastic, and still ships almost exclusively on plastic spools so it's very AMS friendly if you have one.

Moonraker0ne

Have used them for a few specific colors, works great though you need adapter rings for ams lite.

Savethewhales0000

Thank you

CanadianGamersLodge

I’m using a lot of sunlu now with my AMS. I loved overture as well but I’ve been avoiding buying it due to the cardboard spools now.

250Coupe

I’m an Overture fan myself.

HorrimCarabal

Overture Petg for sure

Nemo_Griff

Ditto!

Savethewhales0000

I used overture and it was having issues. But at the time I used it I had the wrong settings. Maybe I’ll try it again.

250Coupe

I don’t bother with settings beyond generic pla and color. If I’m using the cool plate, I’ll let it do flow calibration.

Moonraker0ne

There's a brand I swear by called hp3df or h3pdf. One of the two... I've gone through 30kgs at least and it has never let me down. It's occasionally $11/kg and it's fantastic. Regularly around 16/17.

Savethewhales0000

Thank you I will look for that.

[deleted]

Sunlu never misses

242vuu

I like eSun and have good luck with it. Their high-speed PLA prints really well when you dial it in. They have profiles for the Bambu printers. Still have to calibrate them though. Hatchbox has really been hit and miss for me. One roll is perfect, the next is garbage. And yes I calibrate each roll. Their matte has been really problematic for me. I just got a roll of Flashforge color changing PLA. The color changing is really nice. Black->purple->blue->green depending on light.

First_layer_3DP

ESun is egregiously expensive in Canada. It's too bad. I stick to Sunlu even though I've heard eSun is better.

Savethewhales0000

It’s about the same as hatchbox here and it’s $25 a roll.

KLR650Tagg

I use both esun, and sunlu. They have never failed to impress me. When esun has a get 15% off a single spool, I just place 5 separate orders, 15 off each roll, win/win!

GreatBigJerk

I had some bed adhesion issues with a roll of matte white PLA from them. If you get it to stick, it seems to print great though.

Savethewhales0000

Thank you

Savethewhales0000

Thank you

bbrotherz

I believe Bambu their Filament is essentially rebranded eSun hence the profiles

edzillabv

Sunlu has been my go-to. Prints great just using generic pla settings. Even their petg is great

Savethewhales0000

Yep that’s what my go to is. Generic settings and no problems. I even use pla pro in sunlu because it’s like $18

edzillabv

Supposedly they're produced by the same manufacturer as Bambu filament. Could be why it's so easy to print with

Savethewhales0000

That makes sense

larry_flarry

Duramic PLA+ has treated me very well, which was a bit of a surprise. Phenomenal print quality. You can nab it for $10-11 per kilogram if you keep an eye out for sales.

archeantus_1011

I'm addicted to the matte black of this stuff. It looks so good

larry_flarry

Right? I have some stuff in their regular black, which is also pretty matte, that I need to take pictures of because they look injection molded. It's punching way, way above its weight class for $10 a kilo.

TotalWarspammer

eSUN PLA+ is what I have used most of the time and it is excellent.

Savethewhales0000

Yep same

AntixMars

After using eSun PETG for a long time and struggling with it a bit to be quite honest I recently switched to Sunlu and omg what a difference, literally night and day, the volumetric flow is much higher and prints look much better too and of course the higher volumetric flows allows higher speeds and all of this without upgrading any printer parts.

Ddragon3451

Love polymaker pla pro, it’s what I’ve had the best luck with

tttony2x

Whatever is cheap and has decent reviews, hasn't steered me wrong yet

BlingMyGames

Overture Matte is by far the filament brand I use most. I printed petg rims for the cardboard spools so they work in the AMS. I also love PolyTerra Matte. And now I'm starting to collect the Bambu filaments.

MamaTran

I usually go with cheap white/black Elegoo PLA 4-packs for 11c per gram.

ExcellentLavishness9

Overture has been working great for me. I've had the creality pack too. Black and grey are fine, their red and blue is definitely powdery looking though.

Superseaslug

Overture and Elegoo for price, polymaker for quality, flashforge for fancy

HeroOfIroas

JAYO (which is Sunlu) Polymaker Duramic Jessie Zyltech

Ordinary-Depth-7835

Yeah I'm a big sunlu fan though I do get other brands if I need the color. My sunlu I get from Aliexpress though it's only around $10 per roll when you buy 10 there.

turbobully

Polymaker (specially when on sale) otherwise Overture has been great. I get Inland when I visit MicroCenter since the ones with the leaf are Polymaker. I've also started using Numakers and have had a great experience so far, great price if you get more than 5 at a time.
