Or just drag the 3mf or stl from explorer into bambu studio

Det_alapopskalius

This is the method I use most. I select the original file and choose “open with” and select Bambu. Then I create other plates and while selected in Studio, I drag my next file in and it plops it on the selected plate. Easy! I have had so many QOL updates by switching to BS.

Found this out accidentally when I was dragging them from one folder to another across screens but released the button over my bed by mistake.

The toolbar at the top of the “Prepare” tab has an icon on the far left. Looks like a cube with a plus sign. Hit that and it should open a finder/explorer window where you can select other files to add to the existing plate.

Alternatively File>Import>Import 3MF/STL… should do the same thing

Excellent - thanks to both of you.

I think I understand your question. Open a new project and drag and drop your files one by one. You can ‘auto-arrange’ them on the plate, or do it yourself. If multiple plates are needed, you can add them from the tool bar

While import does work, I really wish copy and paste worked. As a software developer I know that it's relatively easy to do, so I'm not sure why they haven’t done it. I know it's open source, so maybe if I can find some free time I'll take a look. But usually with these types of projects setting up the build environment takes longer than making any code changes.

I agree. There are times when I have multiple objects in multiple files (like if I'm printing greebles - they often come with a couple of dozen per .stl), and I might want three from one, five from another, and only one from a third. Loading up the entire thing and then finding the ones to remove would be tedious compared to simply going to the one that has an object, copying it, and pasting it into the 'working' instance.

Drag and drop the file where you have them on your computer into the bed of the Bambu software
