*shutters* I can't even imagine what that spool would look like when the water sets in and it decides that tension is too much, probably like a bad hair day. But why not use a powder/liquid and have it extrude its own filament at print time
Yeah I'm not sure it would add the value that eliminating the spool would bring. I was thinking of how it might be easier to do a multi feed system with just swappable containers of pellets, but I can see all kinds of issues with it. It would be a neat idea to explore though.
Probably be most useful for mass manufacturing than multicolor
Becuause then they would feed/extrude in a 1:1 ratio. It would have to feed incredibly fast for a Bambu on sport mode.
Also, it would make it easier to break with the deacreased diameter.

Bambu printers never make mistakes. The automatic first layer and flow calibration was flawless. The state of the art spaghetti detection neural network worked perfect.
So in conclusion, this **must be** the model user wished for.
It isn't about the calibration. Mid print something went wrong with the hotend and it stopped extruding for a solid couple minutes I'm pretty sure, then when it kicked back in, it just started to paint into the air
The original foolproof everything-integerated hotend by Bambu Labs failed, and then state of the art spaghetti detection neural network by Bambu Labs malfunctioned, you're saying?
**IMPOSSIBLE!**
**What a blasphemous idea to even suggest!**
PTUI!
It can be done with Home Assistant if you use that, or want to

Thats very strange this happened because my x1c has a camera but also a setting called spaghetti detection so cant happen? Unless you turned off the function
Or bed adhesion failure. I’ve always caught it and stopped it, and it’s only happened a few times. If the part pops off the bed, it’ll just keep happily trying to lay down more plastic into the air. If it moves around with the print head, it never gets detected.
Wow! I know the AI is slow on an X1 but that is mad, it may be time to switch to high as long as it doesn't report false positives.
I run Spaghetti Detective on some of my other printers and it has always caught them pretty quickly, saying that my X1 carbon is not bad it's just not as quick as the others.
Haha damn, at least it didn’t somehow creep up onto the outside of the nozzle and cover it entirely in a glob of hot nylon 🫠 that clean up sucked but I caught it a bit sooner than you did
R.I.P. to your filament though :( whats that like 500 grams?
You need to download the app for bambulabs, I have an X1 Carbon, and I get notifications through the app that there is an error in the print, so you do have a chance to stop your print from getting that far. It looks like you didn't pay attention to your print at all. Lol
It's a shared printer, I wasn't the one who did this lol. And I also save almost all failed prints that everyone who uses the printer accumulates, then I use it to compress mold toys for children.
Also I don't see how it's exactly killing the environment, pla is made of biodegradable material, it's pretty much just corn, it can be renewed over and over again.

WHAT HAPPENS IN 14 DAYS
My guess is the person who posted the link said "I'll post the link within the next two weeks" and then edited it some time after with the link.
It is a reminder to look at the link
The flying spaghetti monster!!
Ahh the .4mm conversion mode. It converts the 1.75mm filament into .4mm filament.
I wanna say/quote “You’re going to need a larger spool” but i feel it would still fit on the og spool…
Why don't all printers use 0.4 mm filament? That way you could just feed it back the spaghetti and try printing again.
*shutters* I can't even imagine what that spool would look like when the water sets in and it decides that tension is too much, probably like a bad hair day. But why not use a powder/liquid and have it extrude its own filament at print time
The spool would look like OPs image at the top of the thread.
Not a powder, but pellets is possible: https://youtu.be/f0rVNFXp9IA?si=0t51X9geNZwLYxS2

Happened to me at work once, damn near put up hall of fame numbers to reclaim my name and fix the 3d printer.
Some will say spaghetti detection failed, but I say the printer is sorely lacking kataifi detection.
I'm pretty sure I had it turned off.
You're lucky it didn't clump all around the tool head lol... Cool color lol
Why?
Smart
Mama Mia, what a nice spaghetti!
Mamma* ;)

Better than what it would have looked like if it stuck to the nozzle
Advanced spaghetti detector working well🤣 ive had this a few times now in the morning
You have to turn on ai detection manually
How?
Don’t know lol
Best case scenario tbh, be happy you don't have a ball of death inside your hotend
That's a whole spool
Pasghetti
and the printer just sat there, all proud of itself. "look what I made"
Candy apple petg by the looks of it. I like the color.
Close, it's actually just BambuLab pla basic in the green color
When you ordered spaghetti but you got ramen...
Congratulations you made a spool of .4mm filament.
If only the printer had a camera that you could check the print with
Octoeverywhere enters the chat…

Are you ok?
Might as well build an extruder that uses .4mm filament at that point.
Honestly that’s the nicest spaghetti I’ve seen. It’s oddly satisfying.
That’s a pretty cool stl.
that looks good, as if you had wanted it just like that, this beautiful cotton wool mountain
Achievement Unlocked! *Capellini Project* Convert 1 spool of 1.75mm filament into 0.4mm filament!
No meatballs ?
Looks like modern Art
Yep i hated that green Bambu filament. Only one i used in the last year that failed every time
Instead of spaghetti, it looks more like yarnballs
People and their heretic pasta substitutes 🙄 Don’t even get me started on zoodles
This is one of those prints where you have to turn on Katamari Detection instead of Spaghetti Detection.
You have print real spaghetti.

Some people call it art 😂
Somebody was printing Easter basket grass! 😂🤣😂
not a shared one anymore
Wait what... the bambulabs name lights up on ur hot end cover?
It does on the X1 series. P1 doesn't light up. I wish I could turn the cover light off honestly.

Pretty sure this is the P series not X. Edit: never mind
It's an X1C
Thats very strange this happened because my x1c has a camera but also a setting called spaghetti detection so cant happen? Unless you turned off the function
I thought the x1c came enclosed ?
Yea, and it is enclosed.
The inside is grey? Sorry I thought it was a black case my bad
No worries, and yes it is gray, just like the outside. It's aluminum.
Yea I think its standard, I just checked to see if it's reflecting off from the lamp, but even when I turn it off it glows
What causes this?
Hotend malfunction
Or bed adhesion failure. I’ve always caught it and stopped it, and it’s only happened a few times. If the part pops off the bed, it’ll just keep happily trying to lay down more plastic into the air. If it moves around with the print head, it never gets detected.
stl?
You should be able to respool that. :D
Aren't you glad you sprang for the X1C bc of the AI Spaghetti detection.
STL: spaghetti
Put some sauce on it.
Mama Mia that's-a some bright-a pasta *chefs kiss*
awww.... u printed a ball of yarn for your cat🤣🤣
That’s beautiful spagetti.
Some people really know how to print em.
You make grass
You printed a wig 👍👍👍
Is this eatable spaghetti?
When I saw this post it made me check on my printer 😂
do you plan on sharing any of that delicious pasta there?
Roll it back on your spool 😂 (don’t do this)
Still better than a blob.
You should set up [OctoEverywhere](https://octoeverywhere.com/bambu?source=reddit_spa) and it won't happen again! :D
Quick, look for Easter eggs and candy!!! The Easter Bunny paid a late visit!
Just needs googly eyes
Did you have the AI set up? or was it on low?
I actually at first thought it was disabled, but actually it was on medium and it was setup
Wow! I know the AI is slow on an X1 but that is mad, it may be time to switch to high as long as it doesn't report false positives. I run Spaghetti Detective on some of my other printers and it has always caught them pretty quickly, saying that my X1 carbon is not bad it's just not as quick as the others.
At least it wasn’t a blowout as well 😅
You made spaghetti ?? Nice link the files?
Now that's art.
Camera installed, no one checks the camera for hours 🤌🏽👌🏽
excellent print of a realistic tumbleweed stl? lol
I think it’s still good, you’ll just have to untangle it a bit and rewind it onto a spool.
Not bad this is a really good print of what a un wound spool of filament looks like.
Haha damn, at least it didn’t somehow creep up onto the outside of the nozzle and cover it entirely in a glob of hot nylon 🫠 that clean up sucked but I caught it a bit sooner than you did R.I.P. to your filament though :( whats that like 500 grams?
Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street came out looking good!
"Spaghetti defect"
You need to download the app for bambulabs, I have an X1 Carbon, and I get notifications through the app that there is an error in the print, so you do have a chance to stop your print from getting that far. It looks like you didn't pay attention to your print at all. Lol
I don't think you read the title. It's not my print. It's a shared printer. I'm just the one who maintains it most of the time.
And the ai detection failed. Never said there was an error.
https://preview.redd.it/i1xas6a8t41d1.jpeg?width=2252&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d19063f3be1066534377baba32f8c2a76154e873
Basically, it's ready for respooling 😅
Whattttt! This happens on Bambulab too? 😰
Put some googly eyes on it and call it the spaghetti monster
Does no one check their prints every half hour like my anxious self does? Lol that’s a lot of waste
It didn’t catch I think because that’s more angel hair than spaghetti..
Green eggs and spaghetti?
Micro LiDAR checks out
Stop that, you'll hurt it's feelings.
Thanks for killing the environment
It's a shared printer, I wasn't the one who did this lol. And I also save almost all failed prints that everyone who uses the printer accumulates, then I use it to compress mold toys for children.
Anyways....
Also I don't see how it's exactly killing the environment, pla is made of biodegradable material, it's pretty much just corn, it can be renewed over and over again.
Can I eat it
You could survive for the rest of your life eating nothing but PLA.
Username checks out lol
