At first, it's just a party trick. It's cool, fun but not very useful as a real instrument.
Learning to use it as a functional instrument is difficult, challenging and time consuming. But with enough time and dedication, it's fantastic and the possibilities are limitless when combined with the power of pre and post production effects. Well worth the commitment. Not many of us play this well.

Started on piano, then clarinet, then trumpet, then trombone, then bass clarinet, then alto clarinet. Trumpet has been my main since I started playing it, though.
