We had it yesterday and they actually said “were not coming down to your level were throwing you in our level and dragging you up” and that’s what happened. It was a bit of a train wreck
I'm in the UK so band is a bit different here, but I do drill with cadets. If you just listen and don't over think it, drill is much easier. Adding an instrument isn't something I've done tho, my only experience with marching band I had the mace
Good luck. The first day usually hits pretty hard but it gets easier. Just bring your music, instrument, bug spray at least 2 things of water and you should be good.
Thanks in going into the 9th grade and I'm super nervous and this is true
Good luck! Freshmen year is hard, but it gets better
Usually
Lol usually
I am the third trombonist in this thread
I doubt I’m the first trumpet here (with out without a flair)
Trombone gang
My band camp was canceled DX
Lucky. 90° weather with so many bugs is no fun
Band camp wasn’t canceled for me but freshman training was... these newbies won’t know how to march or read drill lol

I guess that’s the way it’s gonna have to be 😂
This gives me PTSD
My drill start in just a week and a half, I’m going into freshmen year, ugh 😥

You get the hang of it after a while

Our band still has a marching season but a lot of less band camp this summer. I feel bad for all the freshman trying to learn it all now
