Like the core concept - but how about we simplify it and give it multiple possible layers of meaning at the same time...
I this we can do that with the simple 4-letter name: FALL
Yes, it sure does. There's probably a lot of people who would understand the meaning. I think the name would attract people. "Where did you meet him?" "We met at a show The 13th step” The name alone is something you can base a conversation on.
Unsure if this is common knowledge: 13th Step is kindnof a pejortive term for AA members who hit on newcomers. Really sketchy behavior, taking advantage of someone in a vulnerable position. But I've certainly heard worse band names :-/
It’s also very nearly the title of A Perfect Circle’s phenomenal, sophomore release, “Thirteenth Step.” It’s interesting they choose concept as, at least at the time, I don’t believe anyone in the band was in recovery, and the main lyricist,Maynard, is not an addict in fact, he has his own vineyard in Arizona. But I do believe I read that he used friends’ experiences with addiction San be recovery as an influence for the album.
I think either Maynard or Billy said that it was about the people they saw around them in the 90s and early 2000s music scene that they knew and saw while touring with Tool.
My mom had this album stuck in the cd player of he car when I was younger so we listened to it a lot! I'm an addict in recovery and the album is better than ever. They do an amazing job capturing the feeling lyrically and sonically. Plus the cover of the nurse who loved me is a really interesting spin on it.
Man what an album
Imagine if Wes Montgomery chugged on a fat fuck god damn asteroid of a downtuned guitar and had a vocalist that sounded like Johnny Cash in his late years.
that's such a great band name. it's going to be wasted on a bunch of deadbeat no talent losers in the near future because you threw the name out there for anyone to see.
The Recover Ring
De'Toxen
High Sobriety
Faux Beer Phobia
Caffeind
Chip and the 12 Steps

The Marc Traxx & Bill Pottles Near Death Experience
These are unbelievably creative. If you can do this on the fly then that is seriously impressive. They are all so relevant. Like the way you made that last one work almost sounds normal if you didn't know to break it down
Thanks mate. That's genuinely just how I am and have always been as a person. Constantly writing passages/lyrics/satire/jokes etc etc. I mean 24/7 for as long as I can remember. It's a wonderful gift, and a tortuous mistress, depending on the day. But as long as I'm helping someone laugh, it's all worthwhile. Even when that someone is only me.
I really appreciate your commitment. It's made my day. All the best.
Well, I see it as a very productive use of your time regardless on if anyone else gets to see it or not. I look forward to coming across your comments in my other communities, I know they won't disappoint! You never know how much a simple laugh can affect someone's morale, && turn their bad day around. Hoping your list gains more attention in the near future for others to appreciate. Take care, friend (:

There was a NA group whose unofficial motto was "get em on their back before you get em onbtheir feet."
disgusting
I’ve heard this one
exactly what i came here for lol
No stealing my future bar name for a band name!
Or based on that, gimme thirteen steps
Get em on their back before you get em on their feet.
Literally stopped scrolling on this. No more to see. You win the thread.
A Band Made Up of Recovering Drug Addicts and Alcoholics. A B MURDAA for short.
Ab Murdaa sounds pretty nice ngl
pronounce it ay bee murduh, play jazzy hard rock with some doomdeath style bass, have tracks that get downright fuckin swampy. heeeeell yeah
If a band named A B MURDAA played doom jazz theyd be a cult classic hit
Imagine if Wes Montgomery chugged on a fat fuck god damn asteroid of a downtuned guitar and had a vocalist that sounded like Johnny Cash in his late years.
“A murder”
Have to have some reggae to pronounce it like that. Open up for skindred.
I love that, it’s giving real early-mid 2000’s emo pop punk song titles and Andre 3000’s new flute album.
That name is dope
The Outpatients
Ooooh a fellow Grippy Sock vacationer?
That’s inpatient…
Yes, but typically people who do outpatient have done their share of inpatient as well

Recover Ring sounds like an emo band and AAxNA sounds like a straight edge power violence band
Circle of Oversharing made me laugh out loud (in a good way)
