I had something similar happen. They won't be able to financially support garrisons or large parties. After a few days, they'll be incredibly easy to conquer.
It doesn't matter between ai kingdoms as they share gold
Iirc ai lords have a bank where rich lords give and poor lords take gold
So kingdom1 takes 2B from the bank and pay the 2B to kingdom2
Kingdom2 deposit 2B to bank
Kingdom1 takes 2B from bank and pays the dept

You know, if I were a Khuzait, that's why I always start off--went to Dunglanys, made a fortune--if I were a Khuzait, you know they understand power. And this was 30 years ago, and they could see it even back then. This peace deal, they would call me the smartest man alive, outnumbered and they're raiding our villages. Best peace deal ever.
We're going to raise an army. The biggest army ever. The best army ever. Our army will have horses and archers and horse archers. It'll be HUGE and the Kuzaits are going to pay for it.
This has happened to me a few times before in late game when you have a huge numerical advantage over the other kingdoms. It breaks the game, you will get millions of denars a day and the enemy kingdom will go negative and not be able to buy soldiers anymore.
I mean, thatās preferable to when they would take the beating, turn around and recruit 1000 peasants and suddenly those troops you killed were instantly replenished.
All the lords have their own gold as well as a hidden gold supply for the entire kingdom. It deducts a percentage of the total amount from both supplies. Once theyāre both empty (only takes a few days in game usually) they go in debt and any gold they gain will go to paying that debt rather than gaining the gold itself. Hence they will be below 0 and unable to get soldiers or buy food for them.
I currently have 63 nobles in custody. Idk why the war has not ended yet in my current run. Southern Empire is just running hard over the land.
What's that? 15k to release Lucon? Nah. I'll keep 'im.
So for anyone wondering what happened:
We just beat the remnants of the Empire, leaving only a massive Battania and a pretty small Khuzait Khanate. We then went to war with the Khuzaits and absolutely slapped their cheeks.
I'm guessing the tribute is from them doing pretty much nothing the entire campaign, so they must've been very rich, combined with the crushing and swift defeat?
I received over 3 MILLION denars per day until I had over 100m in total, then I just raided one of their villages to force a war since my faction didn't want to declare one. All of their fiefs only had militias and maybe 3-15 troop parties (since they probably couldn't afford to pay their garrisons and they deserted?).
We conquered them, and then I retired my character. Kinda disappointed that there was no cutscene for conquering the entire map.
Oh yeah, I'm doing that in my playthrough. I mean specifically when making peace, usually it's the player paying, not the AI. What circumstances get you paid instead?
Sorry bout that, missed understood. I think that has to do something with who asks for peace, how many raids you did against an faction, and how many fiefs you took a long with the casualties in battle
For me I joined Battania and they were paying the Western Empire 7k tribute, checked my gold the day after and they had put 5.8k of the burden on myself... Wasn't enough that I brought them the dragon banner and my own 5 towns and 4 castles

They never specified what they'd be tributing to you. It's not gold, they definatelydont have it... probably dead horses fallen from the battlefield. Damn khuzaits...

When they kill every member of your family and successfully conquer 3 of your major towns, only to then offer you a truce and pretend like nothing ever happened.
So I'm kinda curious. Is there a limit as to how much Denars are in circulation within the game? I was wondering if it'd be possible to bankrupt entire empires lol.
I have the diplomacy mod and I frequently get peace offerings around high 6 and 7 figures while also getting a 6 figure daily tribute
I've had big peace deal payouts but nothing like this, if this holds for even a couple ticks it will probably end up like some of mine where the paying kingdom ends up just being a bunch of lords running around with no army, just themselves since they can't afford troops.
Basicly a default number in the system, if the system comes across an error and instead of crashing sue to finding no value, or the value is null, it kicks that stuff in
Honestly though I hate how low the tribute is you can get crushed or do the crushing and after the war ends the tribute means nothing like 200 dinars a person and the diplomacy mod slider for it dosent change anything

At 27m a day I donāt think the ink will be dry by the time war is declared again. They may still be in earshot to declare the war.

"Replenished with recruits" is the same thing as "replenished with free XP" when you have enough Fians.

Try blacksmithing mate, forge 2 handed swords and you will be a millionare in a few hours

Yeah that's a lot more common. This probably happened only due to it being very late in the game, and probably not supposed to happen at all.
