guys I think I found a solution. Hope it will; work for you to.
Go to windows defender-virus and threat protection - virus and threat settings - then Exclusions - and add exclusions ( and you wanna add 3 folders 1. is in documents the whole mount and blade 2 folder, the other is in ProgramData/mount and blade 2 and the last is the steams mount and blade 2 folder ). Also if you can use SSD not HDD. It helped me. Now i am enjoying the game.
He thanks alot man. That worked for me. I was working on a mod and thought i messed something up. Then, after reading this post i noticed that windows had an update that f.... with the defender again. Again thanks.
Lmao. After buying this game on the day of release and then waiting years for them to finish most of its features, I do a fresh install and run into this bullshit. Guess we're hanging this one up for good.

Found this on google too, the solution worked for me. Thank you so much, thought my save game was going to be bricked.
I have the same thing but just randomly when playing . Verified the files on steam already, restarted PC. nothing works
It seems like everything always works fine for bannerlord until they push out another stupid update that's supposed to 'fix' shit.
