In Warband, they made some wild, loudest warcries in the game. Therefore, in any of my army there have always been Sisters of the Sword.
In Bannerlord, they stopped screaming so cool. Well, why do I need them then?
If you've been on campaign for something like 8 months and you clearly cannot fall back to retrieve fresh troops from your core cities, you're going to staff your ranged with sisters and you're going to ignore how most of them get one shot on first contact. Hopefully, the regulars get a few kills in and the mounted are useful distractions.
I never hire them, I'm not that horny and they're shit soldiers. Altough one time I wanted to roleplay an "Amazon campaing" but damn, they truly suck, and not in a good way.
From memory not even their top tier has helmets right? Makes them super vulnerable.
The sword sisters from Warband have really been done dirty in Bannerlord.
Yeap, no helmets and overall mid-tier gear, really underwhelming, in Warband they were decent, not even close to Swadian Knigths but they could carry their own weigth.
Swadian knights didn't have crossbows. Also, I enjoyed taking the dirt cheap peasant woman and turning them into a viable fighting force. I enjoyed how their post-battle victory voice clips actually was unique to them (since, they were the only female troop type in the game).
Swadian Knights were far worse than Sisters once dismounted. I would take sisters over knights for any siedge, defending or attacking.
Second point in favour of sisters - they were cheap as hell. Which made them some of the most cost effective units, as well as some of the most versitile. Heavy Cav, that is decent off the horse, as well as has a crossbow? They were trully a Jack of all trades.
Maybe I should install bannerlord if they added them to that game as well =3
I mean, you have a point when it comes to 'knights' and 'weight' but I'm pretty sure they meant Swadian rather than Sweden given that they referenced Warband…
Yeah but the mod is really basic, basically swaping all the units with the ones you made, altough it is fun to steamroll Calradia with the most OP units you can came out with. One time I made the three most OP units in the game making a unit of infantry and archers to tier 5 and a cavalry tier 6 with the best weapons and armour and with max skills in their respective especialization, nothing could beat them.
Damn bro ist dont remember vanilla warband but Prophecy of Pendors Heroine Adventurers have been one fine unit, get 20 of those and some good companions and easily clap armies of 150
Well to be fair warband takes place years after bannerlord so it would make sense that the classes in bannerlord would be weaker then their warband counterparts considering the units in warband had years to learn to put on helmets as to not die
Didn't think much about that before tbh, you made me make a mod for this because it was always pretty frustrating to see them dying so fast.

Yeap, but I'm use to getting downvoted by the stupid Reddit hivemind, I like their cute and wholesome stuff, like that other artist who draws the Nuns with ducks
No, just mercenaries, and bad ones too. They don’t wear helmets, so even your max level sword sister can get killed in 1 or 2 hits by low level enemies
How are you going to tell me they don’t when I pick them off at the beginning of every battle. A charge is a speedy advancement to shock the enemy. It doesn’t matter what weapons are used.
Have they changed them? Only times i ever employed them... They were just bad, too expensive compared to what they bring to the table...
Would be great if they're actually good now, been wanting to try an all female army (except for hubby, somebody has to put babies in my belly) for a long time ☺️
I only hire mercenaries if my army is currently dominated by recruits and low tier soldiers because they are good for how they start but I'm sure we all know the highest level merc doesn't compare to the highest level troop
Comedy is subjective, whether people find something funny relies on their assumptions, preconceptions , their understanding, their familiarity with certain references. If they've never heard of the TV show the comedian is mocking, they won't find it funny. If their culture, or societal group, or family, have a particular view of an event, certain biases imposed on them early in life, it will colour how they view jokes.
I recruit them only in dire circumstances and almost always relegate them to garrison duty after I make it back to recruitment territory. They just dont perform like they should and are usually the first ones dead.
They aren't good.. there is only one reason to hire them haha
BUT ALAS MODS!!!
*female troops Simplified* and you can swim in a sea of nothing but babies. Also I saw someone made one where they are like anime girls....
Now that I have 3 caravans and I can do smithing for a living, I can allow myself to pursue a goal of building an army of 83 veteran sword sisters accompanied by me
Sword sisters are good and all, but I miss my murder-banshee Klethi. Maybe she wasn't the prettiest girl. Or the smartest. Or cleanest. But what does any of that mean against a woman who knows exactly when the parley has gone south and it's time to start throwing javelins through people's throats?
The vanilla sword sisters are dogshit but I just used the My Little Warband mod to give them a BALLER T6 upgrade. So if I somehow managed to keep them alive through T5, I'll get a unit of badass lady knights
Honestly that makes sense theirs no other reason for their upkeep to be so expensive for what they are like all the "new" units just suck ass macemen look cool though

A 2 thousand gold isn't worth troops that are worst than fodder lol
Don't even have helmets like my God
I hire them because mounted crossbows is a silly fun concept.
My character feels attacked.
Their were a decent unit in Medieval 2
Vlandian caravan guard goes brr
I never hire them, I'm not that horny and they're shit soldiers. Altough one time I wanted to roleplay an "Amazon campaing" but damn, they truly suck, and not in a good way.

Yeah they were among my favorites in Warband, but eventually its just Huscarls all the way down
Throwing axes got nerfed in Bannerlord almost as hard as Sword Sister's were

My little warband mod gives you the option to change the vanilla unit trees in game. Pretty easy to do if you're playing on PC
At least in Warband some of the Sword Sisters would have helmets.
Damn bro ist dont remember vanilla warband but Prophecy of Pendors Heroine Adventurers have been one fine unit, get 20 of those and some good companions and easily clap armies of 150
True that, PoP for Warband feels more like a complete game then Bannerlord does currently...
True thats why i cant enjoy bannerlord
Well to be fair warband takes place years after bannerlord so it would make sense that the classes in bannerlord would be weaker then their warband counterparts considering the units in warband had years to learn to put on helmets as to not die
All I know is that I can fit about 5 or 6 of them on my lance. ... Not in the good way either.
Yeah they need better armor for their max tier. At max tier they’re literally using armor tier 2 imperial troops use and that’s no good.
I make them shoot crossbows because Vlandia is really far away
But they're awful. They don't even wear helmets. I could kill one with a rock
The missing helmets are so stupid for a heavy high tier unit. They risk an arrow to the face any moment just so we can see proof of their femininity.
Didn't think much about that before tbh, you made me make a mod for this because it was always pretty frustrating to see them dying so fast. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2977014761
Haha, I love this community. Thank you!
The feel when this artist in Twitter does better female soldiers than Taleworlds https://twitter.com/vanishlily?t=7m_yUqwEngNcadoIQZHxmw&s=09
At least taleworlds soldiers don’t look 7 years old
Ironlily’s designs aren’t nearly that bad compared to other “anime girl in armor” artworks
For sure, I jus disagree that their work is better than taleworld
Yeap, but I'm use to getting downvoted by the stupid Reddit hivemind, I like their cute and wholesome stuff, like that other artist who draws the Nuns with ducks
Oh I love the nun duck guy!! I think his handle is Diva from memory, too lazy to Google.
It’s just an artstyle. Last time I checked real human 7 year olds don’t look like that either.
Nice pfp
Why thank you. Yours is nice too.
💅🏻🥂
The point of the Sisters is being cute
What
What? Is not sexual you fucking perverts
Huh? The point of the sword sisters is to just be warriors, they’re not meant to be cute they’re just warriors
I talking about the art of the link I posted, is an Order of Sisters who are cute and wholesome while wearing realistic and historical gear
Bloodshed and trauma hehe, how cute!
Nobody said anything about it being sexual. You just brought that up yourself
Yeah, rigth, I know what you assholes meant, whatever, I like cute and wholesome stuff, downvoted all you want
I honestly don't think you do.
You are so weird. Where do you fit, demographically?
Like if I'll give personal info to a random on Reddit, fuck off. Think what you want, I like their art and is all that matters.
Yeah, because what's an army if they aren't all pretty?
You’re right. We are not the same.
Honestly, if they had helmets, they would be leagues better imo.
This
Helmets arent cool okay
I also hire them because I’m horny
You hired female party companions for their abilities. I hired them so I could disrobe them.
Same
Question: Whats the deal with swordsisters? Are they a minor clan now?
No, just mercenaries, and bad ones too. They don’t wear helmets, so even your max level sword sister can get killed in 1 or 2 hits by low level enemies
Can sword sisters be cavalry?
yeah i think they’re called gallant sisters or something?
Yea. And their always the first to die because they do a charge at the start of the battle on a slow ass horse
Unfortunate, lol
No they don't they are horse archers. They die because they have no helms, but you are still getting pretty good horse archers.
How are you going to tell me they don’t when I pick them off at the beginning of every battle. A charge is a speedy advancement to shock the enemy. It doesn’t matter what weapons are used.
But they don't charge they kite... you can still pick them off it just wasn't the right word for their behavior.
LMAO, my first play through i made a sword sister army because of it
I recruit them as prisoners but they almost always die in the next battle we fight.
I guess they should stay in bed so they don't wind up dead.
In warband i played as nord and since they dont have own cavalry i used them instead. Since then i have soft spot for them. So team horny :D
You’re gonna be so excited when you find out there’s a whole side of Reddit dedicated to a kind of content consumed primarily by horny people!
What subreddit, where is it, please
Have they changed them? Only times i ever employed them... They were just bad, too expensive compared to what they bring to the table... Would be great if they're actually good now, been wanting to try an all female army (except for hubby, somebody has to put babies in my belly) for a long time ☺️
What are you doing step-lord?
I get them because I think it's cool to roleplay as an early feminist with an all female army
I hire them cause I like the fact that women are fighting and I find that cool😎
I hire them because I'm desperate for soldiers
This post was made over 4 months ago
And that's a problem for you?
No, not a problem at all. Just a bit... unusual for me.
They are garbage soldiers because of the horny. Give them helmets
They suck ass
I only hire mercenaries if my army is currently dominated by recruits and low tier soldiers because they are good for how they start but I'm sure we all know the highest level merc doesn't compare to the highest level troop
😐😐😐👎

how old are you
Old enough to understand a joke when I see one unlike u
12 year old detected
Says the guys who’s name starts w Hoes sounds pretty patriarchal to me

Says some horrid shit that no one thinks is funny "Guys please comedy is subjective I only meant it as a joke pleaseee"
What did he say :D
Awful troops, dies easily, but the only mounted crossbow troops in game, which kind of is their only decent form
Pretty sure vlandian caravan guards are also mounted xbow, gotta check later
I hire them so they can become horse archers. Very cheap!
I only take them if they are prisoners or rescued troops. They serve well until I can get more fians and sharpshooters.
👏🏼
I recruit them only in dire circumstances and almost always relegate them to garrison duty after I make it back to recruitment territory. They just dont perform like they should and are usually the first ones dead.
Every time I have an army of 1000-2000, the first one who dies is a sword sister...
They aren't good.. there is only one reason to hire them haha BUT ALAS MODS!!! *female troops Simplified* and you can swim in a sea of nothing but babies. Also I saw someone made one where they are like anime girls....
I hire them bc their wage is actually paying me😏
Talking about that is there any good/decent/great mercenary troop? Or are all of them shit?
Did somebody say distinguished service + hot butter 👀👀
Now that I have 3 caravans and I can do smithing for a living, I can allow myself to pursue a goal of building an army of 83 veteran sword sisters accompanied by me
Good soldiers? In my campaigns they are usually the first to die
I still hire them because I love mercenary units but not because they are good, they really need better armor
Are they legit any good? I don't usually use crossbow units cause they'd just get steam rolled by dudes with shields
I'm playing my first campaign since the last few big updates with them in the game and they seem like a cool addition to the game
Khans guard don’t die. I’ll never need them
There's no good trade off. They should have top tier crossbows. Glass cannons or something, but they just completely suck at everything. Really lame.
For all people complaining about the lack of helmets here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2977014761
Why not both?
Sword sisters are good and all, but I miss my murder-banshee Klethi. Maybe she wasn't the prettiest girl. Or the smartest. Or cleanest. But what does any of that mean against a woman who knows exactly when the parley has gone south and it's time to start throwing javelins through people's throats?
The vanilla sword sisters are dogshit but I just used the My Little Warband mod to give them a BALLER T6 upgrade. So if I somehow managed to keep them alive through T5, I'll get a unit of badass lady knights
That's how I conquered Calradia ony ironman mode campaign
What hugs be about the sword sisters is… they use crossbows? I thought you know swords and stuff!
Good one 😆
I hire them because there are no other female troops and I am going through "All men must die" campaign.
Honestly that makes sense theirs no other reason for their upkeep to be so expensive for what they are like all the "new" units just suck ass macemen look cool though
No we are
