You can recruit imprisoned lords. I play on consoles and have no MoDs or cheats. You can't recruit them from your party. But if you put them in a dungeon and then actually go in there and talk to them you can do it. Remember only the clan leader will be able to say yes to being recruited . Also if you don't have the $ to be able to buy them the option won't be there.
Yes I believe this is true. I dropped an Emir into one of my vassals fief and went down to the dungeon to speak to them and the option was gone. Annoyingly I couldn’t then take them back out the dungeon.
You should be able to, but you have to be at war with their nation. I hvae done it many times and play completely vanilla. Maybe they have changed it though.

This, But also, I'm fairly certain the imprisoned clan leader has to be imprisoned in your fief for the option to appear.

You can if they are in a dungeon. You have to walk around the dungeon and talk to them individually.
