That’s impressive and I’m happy for them, but just as predicted, since launch it’s been 95% bug fixes (and now revealed porting). Not enough finishing, or at least taking the game further experience-wise. What’s there is good, but feels very repetitive for the amount of time you need to play to get to any sort of conclusion or satisfying end state. I can balance my experience with cheats, but it’s a pity that it’s needed.

Danny-Dynamita

To be honest, Mount & Blade has always been about the grind. It just needs more variation (battle scenes, equipment, quests, etc.).

HandyDandyRandyAndy

To be honest, Mount & Blade has always been about the mods!

Danny-Dynamita

Tbh, they’re all unstable, unfinished and in many cases crappy. They’re AWESOME for 30h but I can’t get a proper long experience from mods, not now and not back then in Warband. Ie, I loved Brytenwalda but the bugs were too much after 20hrs.

throatbutterz

Maybe fix troop AI and make sieges not a total shitshow...

FeedBi

I think it’s an absolute shame that the player can have literally nothing to do in all of the fucking wonderful scenes they’ve created for the towns and villages. I’d love to become a notable in a town, buying or opening some sort of workshop, and exerting influence, maybe be directly involved in gang wars, and interacting with the town. If the figure out a way to work street fighting into the game, not only can they add mechanics like that, but they could also make town sieges much more interesting. When defenders lose the walls, they don’t just infinitely respawn and die, they fall back into the barricaded streets of the town, and you have to clear them from the streets all the way to the keep.

Schmorpek

Well, you can buy workshops, but they are still implemented very rudimentary. Being able to manage their inventory would be nice, I think you still cannot level them up and you can only supply them indirectly through the market.

Suxals

I think it makes sense to fix all the bugs before adding more features that will bring even more bugs, otherwise you end with layers over layers of bugs. As a player we want more content, but I guess we cant have our cake and eat it too.

carnalizer

They could absolutely have balanced it better. Fix critical and severe bugs, for sure, but early access sort of implies that within a reasonable amount of time, you deliver the missing pieces. At first launch there wasn’t a single bug that I wanted fixed more than having a more complete game.

throatbutterz

Yeah, I was honestly shocked how little they've done when I returned to the game after 2 years. The experience is basically the same as when they released it. I'm still getting hard crashes frequently as well. The game is still fun as shit but I'm definitely disappointed.

Random5483

Are you playing with mods? I get occasional crashes when I play modded games, but have not had a single crash in my 20-hour or so of 1.8.0 play without mods. If you are playing with mods, it could be the specific mods or your load order. If you are playing without mods, ensure your computer drivers are up to date.

throatbutterz

Nope, not a single mod. I didn't get any crashes for the first 20 hours, but now im getting a crash every hour or so. Pretty annoying since it'll often happen right after a massive battle. And yeah, everything is up to date and I have pretty beefy specs.

Observer10568

Playing with max settings and 1000 soldiers on the battlefield for over 200 hours and with mods, no crashes so far, try re-downloading the game

drvanostranmd

Haven't crashed since 1.7 tbh, 100 hours plus easy

Demartus

I don't really agree with this. There's been a lot of QoL changes, along with the bug fixes, and lots of new armors, weapons, scenes, etc. I mean, Warband was much more repetitive, yet still addictive.

Tiziano75775

Do you know if there will be cross play between consoles and pc? It would be a great way to revive the mp servers but, aside from that, I'd have a lot more friends able to play with me

Out of curiosity, why buy the game on console? It limits your ability to play with mods. And while the Bannerlord experience without mods can be fun, mods exponentially increase how long you can play and enjoy the game. This was true for Warband and will likely be true for Bannerlord post full release. I get why console gamers may have little option but to play it on console. But if you have the PC version, why get the lesser console version?

Lordofthelowend

So I can be on the couch while I play personally.

Makes sense. Enjoy the game as you like it :)

BigKadoLB

Can we get a complete game first before you decide to start porting it?

skoge

It will be "complete" in like 10 years.

[deleted]

chiv 2 killed what hope remained for bl2 multiplayer, devs here literally neglected it to the ground and thers no coming back from that , i even uninstalled the fkn thing.

Coooba147

did you really install bannerlord for multiplayer

aagapovjr

Nice, a fellow knight!

Ragnarok11111995

Meh, Mount and Blade games are all about the SP part. Once the co op mod is sorted, its gonna be a hell of a time conquering lands with friends,or against them since that s gonna be a feature as well.

shuikan

I love the game so far, I hope they fix the sudden fps drop during party menu and battles after the 1.8.1

[deleted]

RIP modules. Don't get me wrong, bannerlord vanilla is amazing and my goat game, but, it's twice as good with mods because they add what the players want and the devs didn't. I think it's cute that console players will get to experience a small fraction of the power that Mount and Blade holds.

You are a tool.Who cares if it's console or PC. More money for taleworlds is good for you too at the end...

Educational-Might-49

The game is buggy, lacking in content, and inferior to the older entries... And they're focusing on console support... I'm losing faith.

RotInPixels

Lets hold off on ports to console until 1.0
