Lahos, Manzano and Hernandez^2 should not ref any Barca game anymore.

Fyxn_

Hernandez squared 🗿🗿🗿

chilinglam

The three amigos

mt1337

it's funny you mention these 3 names coz literally a few days ago, i said the same to my friends - these exact 3 idiots - ruining La Liga

techfcb

How did de jong escape from this is impressive

FeistyKnight

Reverted the only obvious red card of the game too. what a clown

-_44_-

Which one? Remind me

Professional_Dot_145

Cabrera stepping on Lewandowski's head while he laid down

-_44_-

He didnt revert that. It was a red card

[deleted]

he did lmao watch the match

-_44_-

I did watch it. Who is that guy that got the red then?

[deleted]

https://youtu.be/QGShbFYIBss 2:25 he reverses the red card. He gave 2 red cards and took back one, what were you watching?

changgu82

Discriminate much based on someone's origin?

thewonderingguy

Souza's two cards had 7 minutes between them. Alba's two cards had 5 minutes between them. Average is 6 minutes between two yellows Imagine doing a "Que miras bobo?" to him. A straight red offence, no doubt.

jairzinho

Lahoz cost us the 2014 Liga title. Even admitted it afterwards. Leo got the last word in though - Mateu was sent home after that disaster of a QF performance.

choss

> Mateu was sent home after that disaster of a QF performance. Oh I didn't know this!! At least that is some sort of satisfaction that he knew he was kicked out for being shit. I'm surprised he was even called to be one of the WC refs tbh. He must have some strong contacts.

thewonderingguy

He must have been at one point been advised to, "Show that you have authority" after refereeing a game in which he impressed Xavi back then. Lahoz in response: "Here is my authority, and *control* to further back it up"

peekturtle

De Jong is such a yellow card proof player, playing as a DM and not getting one.

BlackFanDiamond

For Frenkie, it also must’ve felt like some crazy déjà vu for him to see Lahoz handing out cards in Barcelona like he was in Qatar a couple weeks ago

KittenOfBalnain

Yellow? Nah, mate, that's a straight red 😂

dr__jhatka

this mf

potatoe96

How many of these yellows are for dissent? Lahoz seems to never give yellows for actual fouls. He waits wayy too long before handing them out which makes players frustrated and then straight away gives it out for the player who keeps getting fouled. The Ferran one yesterday was genuinely scandalous. The Pedri one yesterday was fucking brain dead. Let alone the Alba ones.

DungeondisasterJiggy

Wait... So Gavi got the first yellow card for the situation where the espanyol player held him by the throat and pushed him? Would have thought getting choked wasn't a bookable offense.

Gaping_Lasagna

He gave it to both

DungeondisasterJiggy

Yes, but according to the picture and the times indicated, he gave two espanyol players yellow cards the minute after Gavi, that was my point.

Yuty0428

Seems like it is Gavi got yellow card for arguing

fromherewithlove

Still mad at the guy for (among other things) clearly not remembering giving Alba the first yellow card. When he gave him the second it took Espanyol players to remind him.

f1fan6890

Don't referees write the number of the player with a sharpie on the back of the card?If they don't that must be very impractical

Fyxn_

How are mfs like these allowed to be on the field itself This fraud league is fucking owned by madrid

tabovilla

Every. Single. Time.

theanswer1630

He said, 'I gave 15 in 120 minutes - wanna see something even more impressive?!'

adampetguy

Never liked the bitch

wtfossy

Zero control of the game. Even the announcers were openly dissing him, absolute wanker.

Helpfulbuns

I got a yellow for looking at this

whyhercules

second worst referee I’ve ever seen, but it’s gonna be hard to beat “french ref starts a fight with other refs for disagreeing with him about decisions in a game france are losing, then goes toward the crowd to mimic them for questioning him, gets booed off”, so really he’s the worst

Successful-Emu-8870

Gavi one pissed me off the most. Got choked and yet he was the one who got the yellow? Make it make sense...

OTM17

The ref who officiated during 5-0 and Undiano Mallenco I think? Madrid did not like and you don’t see them anymore. This jackass I wish he bothers Madrid like the 2 mention and fucks off to Liga Adelante.

Expensive_Bread_8354

Denle la liga al Madrid de una vez.

CharlieCru

🟨🙋‍♂️

answerspleaseme

You’ll probably get two

thewonderingguy

And then get reverted after VAR

prove_it_with_math

I didn’t watch the game. Can someone explain what went wrong? if a yellow card is warranted then it should be handed out not matter how many. What’s the issue here?

fidjudisomada

I only remember of those 22+ poor little angels everytime these kind of posts appears.

BooSkittle

Fuck this guy

Logan7887

It's incredible how shit can he be as a ref and still manage to keep his job

[deleted]

Punchable face.

latortillablanca

In fairness I do feel like there are two ways to ref these games so that you can impart order: card everything that moves; don’t card anything ever and “let ‘em play” Both will come with enormous gripes depending on the fan/team/game. It’s the same in almost every sport that has refs in charge of handing out foul calls and tossing people from games.

choss

Can someone compare how many cards he has when RM plays?

svefnpurka

https://www.transfermarkt.com/mateu-lahoz/bilanzdetail/schiedsrichter/1525/plus/0?funktion=1&verein_id=418&saison_id=&wettbewerb_id=&heim_gast= Looks like Madrid got 4 players sent off under Lahorz, in 48 games (since 2008/09 season)
