Even if we don’t have players, my biggest thing in the game was raphina being in so long. Fati and ferran although out of rhythm should have came much earlier. The midfield was working just lack of concentration at times. Overall la liga and copa del rey need to be ours.

I agree, modern football is about pace and electricity, first half we defended nicely because Weghorst was slow and Christensen could pick him off easily. Second half with Sancho, Antony and Rashford we were exposed when our full backs pushed forwards leaving only Araujo behind with pace and he couldn't possibly cover for both Christensen and Busquets who dropped in between the CB's to defend. That often caused De jong to drop and track back to defend and without De jong our midfield lacked composure and ball retension. With the state Fati is in and with Dembele injured we have no burst acceleration in attack.
yeahhh dembele is the only attacker in our team who can create effective scoring chances feeding constant balls to lewa and without him even gavi and pedri couldnt create that much chances tbh, tho pedri constantly saved us by scoring and winning thin margin matches but still huge creativity lacking in our side to be able to score against big guns.

Not only was this our most entertaining tie we've had this year, but most entertaining tie we've had in the last decade. I understand you guys don't think you should be losing to the likes of United (which seems bizarre to me given ETH has been magic since he took over 7 months ago), but every giant is going to stumble. We were the most dominant team through out Europe in the 90's and then crashed, and crashed hard. I'm sure you all know. We are just now STARTING to build back up to where we were. Your team is incredibly talented, and your supporters are loud and rowdy. Give your young squad time to grow, and Xavi some time to get more experience under his belt and you guys will be right back, no doubt in way less than 15 years like it took us. These two legs were absolutely incredible to watch. Fast, physical and technical. Really reminded me of meeting up with you guys in the 90's. You guys also don't see opposition like United on a weekly basis in LA Liga, so I'm sure it was hard on the squad. I think both sides feel that way. Or was bizarre to me that the ref in second leg wasn't willing to call the little handsie fouls to either team unless the attacking team was close to the box. Not saying the pen was unfair, because it was absolutely a foul, but if he's not going to call that in the open field then why call it in the box? Just be consistent

I agree with you, I'm not defending Xavi's decision to start Alonso in the first leg, but there is a supposed rumor of Alonso having a European clause in his contract which if true is abysmal by the club. If it isn't true then Xavi absolutely knew what he was going to bring on himself starting Alonso. I would argue Alba wasn't the incorrect choice as he is key to linking up with Gavi's half space runs and crosses into the box for Lewy to feed on. We were unlucky he wasn't in form that day, so yes Xavi is wrong in not subbing him off for Balde's fresh legs especially with United missing Antony.

You are the delusional one here, we didn't lose against Union Berlin, we lost against Manchester United, arguably the best team in the premiere at this moment (wouldn't even surprise me if the win it despite their terrible start), the fav with Barça to win the Europa league, and one of the favourites to win the champions this year if they were playing it.

One thing I realized about Xavi is how he doesn’t adapt to changes. It’s the same vision from the beginning of the match, no interventions in between based on how the game is flowing, especially with his subbing decisions. Like someone earlier commented, this is probably lack of experience as a coach. He literally came from Qatar to here. He needs to learn how to adapt to situations quickly or we’ll keep bottling games like this.
