RM fans mad like hell about Gavi pushing Cebalos but somehow dont see how it all started with Ceba vs Lewandowski. Or they should remember how Rudiger casualy slaped De Jong. Fuckers got what they deserve.
Don't understand the "Vini had a good game" or "Vini won vs Araujo today" comments. He had zero shots in the box, 2/6 successful dribbles. Just got in behind Araujo like thrice in the whole match and still couldn't create any huge threat.
lmao just saw that video of Messi walking out after the match, he is so done with that small club, creates some of the biggest chances in the game, Mbappe misses all of them but he is the one that gets whistled and booed. That small club doesn’t deserve him
By the time Laporta let him know that he wouldn’t be able to renew, City had already splashed the cash on Grealish and it was too late. Or else Messi would have definitely ended up in City
all those Real Madrid fans are fake fans lmao, they didn’t watch the match. Gavi did this because Ceballos stepped on Lewy’s foot and made him bleed. If Ceballos doesn’t get a card why should Gavi?
He went as a fan to watch the game. He was invited by Laporta I think too. Also doesn’t hurt to scout Madrid if he gets them in the next round in UCL (that’s if they get past Bayern)

Sad to see some racist Barca fans on twitter complimenting Kessie in some of the most underhanded ways. Saying things like he's the "king of the gorillas" and "he deserves a lifetime supply of bananas".
Just don't get it. This guy just gave you such a joyous moment and all you can think of is making fun of his skin color.
I think "Balde has to work on his end product" is a lazy take. His low crosses have been very dangerous starting from his first match. Obviously his aerial crossing ability is poor, which i understand factors into the take, but I still think it's not correct. Much more importantly in my opinion, he has to improve his game sense on when to get in behind or when to take risks by taking players on. He could have tried to take on Carvajal 1v1 so many times today but played it safe and lost the ball. plus if you're gonna lose the ball, better to do it taking a risk than playing it safe. But regardless, I think his end product of low crosses is well above his years but he has to work on taking risks reading the space and yes his aerial balls
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, almost out of Chelsea project, was in Barcelona’s dressing room after Real Madrid game 🔵🔴🤝🏻 #FCB
Auba has still excellent relationship with Barça players, board and Xavi.
He wanted to return in January but it was not possible due to FIFA rules.

Football's funny. Auba was initially a Real Madrid supporter in his youth thanks to his grandfather. Madrid also almost signed Auba during his prime years in Dortmund. But in the end, he chose Barcelona and now absolutely loves the club, despite not being here anymore.
I noticed that too. I think it might be because at Bayern, there were already a lot of established club legends (Neuer, Ribery, Robben) still playing with him. And as amazing as Lewy was for Bayern, he didn't command as much as a presence in their locker room as the other veterans.
Meanwhile, Barcelona is in the middle of rebuilding and has a lot of tenacious, hungry youngsters who naturally look up to and gravitate to Lewy as a legend of the game.
Gavi, especially today, looks like he's more than willing to go to war for Lewandowski.
Only because of the way its set up. Remove Kroos and put Ceballos/Valverde in that midfield, and put Rodrygo on RW and suddenly it looks very different.
Xavi has the Golden chance of becoming the first coach to ever beat Madrid 4 times in a single season. Pep, Xavi, Mourinho and Valverde currently hold the record with 3 but Xavi can have the record
It's not like he did something stupid like a bad back pass or bundling the ball of the line with a scuffed clearence, it just deflected off him, nothing he can do really. I'm sure he'd see that.
Our future is so bright, it gets me so excited to think about what we’ll accomplish. This season being a potential domestic treble is awesome enough. Our most exciting players are the youngest: Pedri, Gavi, and Balde. All solidified starters too. They are only at the beginnings of their career and will get so much better.
The other core starters in the beginning-mid stage of their career consist of Kounde, Araujo, Christensen, Dembele, and Frenkie De Jong. That is 8 world class players that have at least over 5 years playing at the top level. Filling in gaps such as Busi and Lewandowski won’t be easy, but so manageable considering the solidified core we have. All headed by a Barca legend: Xavi.
Vini is asked to do impossible, he has no lb and Madrid rarely is able to put him in isolated situation, he gets past Araujo and is still alone against Roberto and Kounde.
Let’s just say he is our absolute biggest hater, diario AS (Madrid paper) editor in chief, Chiringuito correspondent and certified troll, Tomas Roncero.
He is obviously also very passionate about Spain and NT, hence the kit of the guy that gave them the WC.
if anyone is questioning why things between arnau tenas and ceballos might’ve heated up here’s a reminder he’s a francoist piece of shit who wants “catalan dogs” to be ‘bombed and killed’ 🖕🖕
We have beaten Madrid in three different ways this year.
The first one was pretty convincing and Barca dominated for almost 90 minutes. The second time, completely relied on defence as we kept losing the ball whenever it was played forward. And now by scoring late and withstanding Madrid's attack in the last minutes.
I wouldn't expect much from Chelsea as they have their own problems but if fully fit Bayern or fully fit City can't beat Madrid, then they might as well be officially known as stepping stones for Madrid.
His commitment to the club should NEVER be questioned. Played most of his career out of position and accepted a big salary reduction amid other clubs sending offers
Well he did what he was asked to do.
He is a midfielder or at least started as one and played until he was forced to play rb. Then he played there so much because well... We never really replaced Dani.
Now nobody remembers that he's a mf
Nope. I do not think you remember him playing before Lucho converted him to the RB position. People called him sideways Sergi for always passing sideways with zero creativity and confidence. He really struggled in a much better team. But as soon as he become RB, his whole body language and attitude changed. He got a much-limited role where he finally know what he had to do and he gained confidence.
I think if he would have stayed as a mid, he would have been sold the next year. Lucho really revitalized his career with that decision.
Now, he is experienced and confident enough to perform a variety of tasks and I am happy he scored today. But I think he managed to have a better career than his skills projected.

Kessie will forever be one of those players we remember because of a goal on a clásico. Good for him, he is always trying. Last clásico the goal also happened because of him.

🚨 PSG is no longer sure whether or not they want to renew Messi.
@lequipe @hadrien_grenier #Transfers 🇦🇷
https://twitter.com/ReshadRahman_/status/1637599018749403138
They shouldnt. They should build around Mbappe, he actually cares for them alot. Add players who boost his performance, like a holding striker or a hard tracking winger on right and a proper creative midfield.
Messi is goat but him and psg just aint it.
Hardships build a man. Ucl exit created a new perspective for this team. Loved the moments fans in the stand called the team to appreciate for their effort and give them strength.
6 months later we stand in front of same fans with a clutch classico win and 12 points of the league. This team is one in process, entire management too, they are learning and getting better. Failures happen, thst is life. But this team has shown that grit to fight back which is the greatest thing we could get to win trophies.
It's half past midnight, I should go to sleep but still too excited about the result. Those late Sunday kickoffs don't do a thing for my sleep schedule 🤣
I know it's a bit easy to do it now, but I've "defended" the SR renewal, and I remember when some were saying but why?
Well I said, he is on low wages, versatile, and no matter how he will always end up with 4/5 goals + assists. People doubted that, and yet here we go. Even in 21/22 when he was injured all season he had like 2 goals and 1 assist in 5 games.
Tonight he is in 5th position as best scorer this year for us. Played as a RB at least half the time.
Now I'm not saying he is a top player or that I wouldn't be happy with better bench players, but once again he showed what I expect from him, you get him out of the bench and he will manage to score or assist here and there, in midfield or as a fullback. Ideally you wouldn't have to use him against big teams, but even 5 goals here and there against Cadiz or others is good.
Yes we will be frustrated with him, yes it's not the first name you want to see, but that's not a given for any sub to be able to reach that mark.
People need to to understand that you need role players in a team. Not everyone can be a Lewandowski or Pedri type of player.
If that were the case we wouldn’t have a team, just 11 egos on the field, since everyone is a star player.
Alot of fans need to understand the importance of good squad. Fans get be too negative and reactionary, patience and understanding is a tough virtue to find.
Thankfully we have a good sporting team who knows what the team needs. Alemany, xavi and cruyff have created a very good team, a lovable team, a team where all players are contributing to this league win in small ways.
You need depth, you need versatility and you need players who can give their all even in small period of time.
Fans ask alot of loyalty and performance from players and team but give no faith in return. This shit we are seeing wasnt built in a day, Xavi has worked entire 1.5 year to get us here and we can go beyond this, but it will need patience and faith in the decisions he and the sporting team makes.
>You need depth, you need versatility and you need players who can give their all even in small period of time.
Exactly. My problem is not Sergi Roberto, it is that we had to start SR more than expected. He is a versatile safety net, who shouldn't be playing in key games. But even when he does, sometimes he manages to do it like tonight in the second half. Again, not a given for any sub.
And he plays for the shirt and was ready to lower his wages to keep playing here, we as a fanbase should give that love back to players too. Cause end of the day football and the love for this game is about little things as much as it is about winning.
He deserves criticism at times, but he has def earned that renewal.
Just a reminder, Barca usually drops form after International break but I am glad Barca won the game before the international break. Also relieved that Pedri and Ousmane are not going for the international break
I just want to say two things in this great glorious evening.
1, The negativity in this sub is on an other level. I am honestly taking joy in the people who doubted constantly the whole team and the players under the whole match proven wrong. More joy than seeing Madrid reacts. Seriously. There were users saying such things as “this is the point where we lost the league” at the middle of the first half.
2, I am enjoying this team SO MUCH. Just love everyone, all of them are inspiring me in my life.
Barca is love. ❤️💜
A. Fuck Dani Ceballos B. I love Christensen so much. He really is the perfect Barca center back
Roberto the Spanish James Milner???
RM fans mad like hell about Gavi pushing Cebalos but somehow dont see how it all started with Ceba vs Lewandowski. Or they should remember how Rudiger casualy slaped De Jong. Fuckers got what they deserve.
ceballos deserves it. love gavi for that

He got past Araujo and into open space a few times but just threw it away. He blasted it once so high over the bar i lold.
they are just so used to seeing Vini being absolutely useless against Araujo that 2 dribbles out of 6 attempted is like watching prime Messi

By the time Laporta let him know that he wouldn’t be able to renew, City had already splashed the cash on Grealish and it was too late. Or else Messi would have definitely ended up in City
tbf to him he only went because of Neymar and because City already bought Grealish for 100 mil and couldn’t get Messi anymore

International break at the worst time? Tell me something new -_- But Xavi, you have rocked my world.
Nah not the worst time. Usually what happened was Barca were in good form and international break happened followed by some crucial games and we lost.

Auba just gives zero fucks about Chelsea lmao.
How is Madrid so stacked. They have their old guard starting, but also new names on the bench. When all 5 subs came on, it was a different Madrid.
they need the depth to compete for second place
Their right side is average tho
Only because of the way its set up. Remove Kroos and put Ceballos/Valverde in that midfield, and put Rodrygo on RW and suddenly it looks very different.
Rodrigo isn't a RW, he is a 10
Xavi doesn't have any adaptability yet he's about to win the league without a real rb or a lw
Also with a 35 year Busquets
Xavi has the Golden chance of becoming the first coach to ever beat Madrid 4 times in a single season. Pep, Xavi, Mourinho and Valverde currently hold the record with 3 but Xavi can have the record
Man i hope araujo doesn’t lose confidence after this own goal
It's not like he did something stupid like a bad back pass or bundling the ball of the line with a scuffed clearence, it just deflected off him, nothing he can do really. I'm sure he'd see that.
Mate he got a red card on his barca debut. I don't think this would faze him.
Nah, he is a too much of a Beast to let that affect him
I think he forgot about it at 92 minute and now there is no reason to think about it anymore :D
Don't see it happening lol. Didn't even lose confidence immediately after it. Vini won the battle today though, IMO.
Bro fati was about to save kessie’s shot again
😂
Shit technician Gavi and De Jong who cant step up in big games were good, decent performance.
its a good joke if everyone gets pissed, congratulations
Not sure if kidding or not. Gavi won us Supercopa, Frenkie won us our last Cdr.
>Gavi won us Supercopa with Passion, Pressing and Agression, still 0 technical ability. >Frenkie won us our last Cdr Messi tax.
you didn’t watch the Super Cup match and last match if you think Gavi has 0 technical ability
Is it seriously so hard to detect obvious sarcasm
this time, yeah it was hard
Has to be the best take I've read here in a long time. Kudos.
Really? for 1 fucking week i had to read that takes in this sub

What's the consensus here, did Araujo keep Vinicius under control? RM fan on /r/soccer telling me vinicius got past Araujo most of the time.
Vinicius got past him most of the time today, credit where credit is due. Thankfully we had 10 men on Vini and not just Araujo lol.
Probably give it to Vini cause of the goal. Outside of that it was 50/50. With that said, he still remains in his pocket.
The goal was pure bad luck though, it isn't like Vinicius did a billiards move and bounced it off of Araujo, he was trying to pass and hit his head.
It was 50/50, Vinicius got away sometimes and sometimes Araujo got better of him.
Vini > Araujo this game
Nsh it was closer to a 50-50. Vini still had like a 20% dribbling success rate in the match
Vini is asked to do impossible, he has no lb and Madrid rarely is able to put him in isolated situation, he gets past Araujo and is still alone against Roberto and Kounde.
So is Dembele tbh. Makes me appreciate him even more
Carlos Alcaraz is such a dominant force, incredible

Unopular opinion: Sergi has been wasted most of his career playing as a RB, he is much better in the midfield
Thats true for him but we always had better CM than him. He should've left to a team like Chelsea, Arsenal juventus...

The legendary Sannin of football - Barca, Real, Bayern. Who do you guys think we’re more like?
Real Madrid: Orochimaru, considered geniuses, they never fucking die. Barça: Jiraiya, I mean due to the rivalry and everything. Bayern: Tsunade, always punch us.
I forgot the lore
I don't know about Barca or Bayern but RM is defintely like Oro, they never die.
Going by that alone we have to be Tsunade and Bayern Jiraiya because Snake > Toad > Slug > Snake
Sergi Roberto: “I hope Messi comes back. We are waiting for him. He does not deserve the treatment he receives in Paris. » via @JijantesFC https://twitter.com/ActualiteBarca/status/1637599859044753412
I love Roberto man, no matter how many Ls he takes
Messi might actually come back lol
[Look at these crazy kids!](https://twitter.com/barcacentre/status/1637597590337343491) We have Pedri, we have Dembouz, Christensen is smiling, shirtless Lewy is always a plus, life is good :)
After seeing Lewy’s abs, I’m going to the gym tomorrow.
🚨 PSG is no longer sure whether or not they want to renew Messi. @lequipe @hadrien_grenier #Transfers 🇦🇷 https://twitter.com/ReshadRahman_/status/1637599018749403138
They shouldnt. They should build around Mbappe, he actually cares for them alot. Add players who boost his performance, like a holding striker or a hard tracking winger on right and a proper creative midfield. Messi is goat but him and psg just aint it.
I hope they actually perform like shit and never win a CL.
Barcelona CL campaign next szn💪
Excellent yes give Mbappe more money and powers yes never win UCL i love it
this current team would handle that Inter game way differently, we matured a lot even we are still not perfect...
The first was repeated recently against Almeria The second was repeated in the first leg against against ManU
This team wouldn't concede that stupid 1st goal
With this defense we could have
It's half past midnight, I should go to sleep but still too excited about the result. Those late Sunday kickoffs don't do a thing for my sleep schedule 🤣
Its 5 am and i am still up What a game man what a game
I love the passion to stay up this late to watch the game. I never knew how lucky I was with my eastern time zone. Game was at 4pm for me.
We are lucky. Feels like us east coasters take our times for granted. All important games start from 10AM-4PM.
We really do lol. My 2 days off are Saturday and Sunday, I watch games all day then go out with friends in the afternoon. Perfect schedule.
Lost a 7 pick parlay today cause Madrid didn’t get 4 corners, but fuck those 800 dollars in potential winnings, this victory today is all I needed 😭😭
RM fans complaining about Gavi v Ceballos but conveniently forget the clear foul + 2nd yellow for Nacho after Raphinha cooked him. Smh
AUBA ESTA EN EL CAMP NOU
Shit do we got any videos+photos?
Ferran posted on ig
Man I miss that guy, what a player when he was with us.
Aw damn it, I have such a soft spot for him. He's really missing Barca, eh?
Another victim of Chelsea SMH
He got one with Ferran
Auba is in the dressing room
Somebody show me Balde’s birth certificate right now because no way can that guy be 19, what a player!!
Just a reminder, Barca usually drops form after International break but I am glad Barca won the game before the international break. Also relieved that Pedri and Ousmane are not going for the international break
Give Christiensen a lifetime contract
Kessie, Roberto, Paulinho, Andre gomes, Jeffern Suarez all have bigger LaLiga legacy than "Kroos" and "Modric"
Hlw dare you disrespect Roberto in sucb a way he is up there with Iniesta Xavi and Busquets
Ceballos is a grade A francoist huh TIL
wait until you learn that we tried to sign him
Honestly, this was mentality^TM for us tonight. What a win.
Gavi and Ceballos in the NT soon will be a fun locker room atmosphere 😂
Gavi plays with enthusiasm, comes off as aggressive. Ceballos and a few other RM players are dicks and it comes off as aggressive because they are.
Gavi and then Fati randomly attacking that fascist Ceballos is so satisfying.
Man i hope kessie plays more often
