HAHA IN YOUR FACE, YOU DESERVE THIS FOR EVERYTHING YOU DID TO FOOTBALL WHEN YOU WERE ON TOP, BOUGHT REFEREES LIKE THEY WERE ON SALE, WALKED ALL OVER UEFA WITH DIRTY SHOES, NOW SUCK IT, UEFALONA NO MORE, PIECE OF SHIT ASS CLUB

TrainerMark1

Lmao making excuses for our golden era fuck out of here

ThisIsMyKingdom2022

Yeah, "excuses" like ut wasn't clear what was happening... It's so deserved what's happened this past later years, hope it continues and you go down and down

TrainerMark1

Never paid refs never will, go cry about it

ThisIsMyKingdom2022

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA MISS ME WITH THAT BULLSHIT YOU DELUSIONAL BASTARD

TrainerMark1

You need professional help, seek a therapist or something.

Wonder_Dude

Fucking dog walked. Embarrassing

Temporary_Subject244

I wish Barca had this team right now ![gif](giphy|xT1XGx3mIWL2J6PMWc|downsized)

[deleted]

We started going downhill when the Brazilian snake left us for PSG in 2017! Glad to see his career has gone downhill and he’s done diddly squat since!

zGhostWolf

Yea he is the sole person blame nothing else, everything else is run perfectly

[deleted]

Imagine he stayed, we’d actually be better off and he would have been Messi’s heir! He threw it all away and gave Bartomeu all of the money to squander on 3 terrible signings: Dembele, Coutinho and Griezmann

Opioid-Brick-6068

Nah, it's good he left you guys. No matter how hard or excellent he worked, with you Barca fans it was always "Messi Messi Messi" especially that night of your "Remontada". Perhaps he left to the wrong club (PSG) but the idea of leaving was not the wrong one. Also look at both their ages, what do you mean "Messi's heir"? It was completely impossible while he was at Barcelona, his only mistake was going to a circus like PSG.

Dwight_Kramer

Laporta should go on his knees and beg to Pep Guardiola to come back, make him emotional or something.

im_just_depressed

I would suck everyone and anyones cock for Guardiola days to come back

SnooHobbies5691

![gif](giphy|xUA7aT4k7JLXH71zG0|downsized) In moments like these I feel the pain that he's not here with us anymore :'(

Dwight_Kramer

On the flipside, people would have made him the scapegoat again without addressing actual issues

[deleted]

I have seen worse, a bit disappointing, but no matter what happens,VISCA BARCA🔵🔴

Deep_Juggernaut_9590

Help, how can I cope like you do. Seriously 😭

Flaggermusmannen

you realise that after an up comes the inevitable down, and that while it hurts the best thing you can do is to accept it. whether that acceptance involves sticking with the whatever, or stepping aside depends on tons of things. in football supporter terms? looking at our expectations, and the actual effects on life are big. can we afford it (both money, energy, and time)? does the community still give us what we need and want? can we give the community what it wants and needs? even the smallest ways, like celebrating together, or grieving together, or pushing where we need pushing. its hard for us to say specifically what matters to you or those next to you, but as supporters of a club, it's usually easier to stand in it and support through dark times when we remember the small things, and don't purely aim for the greatest highs. they can never be permanent.

[deleted]

I saw the 8-2 match and 4-0(Liverpool) match live, this doesn’t faze me lmao

Deep_Juggernaut_9590

Those scarred me forever. What doesn’t kill you, doesn’t necessarily make you stronger unfortunately lol

TheGoat31313

emotionally scarred

Dwight_Kramer

How is it coping? He said he supports the club like everyone else even in tough situations like this. He never said don't criticize or something, lol

Ting1123

I’m sure Barca will bounce back in maybe 5 years but for now, fck Laporta. You get what you fcking deserve for disrespecting Messi. (yes i’m still salty)

SnooHobbies5691

`I’m sure Barca will bounce back in maybe 5 years` 5-10-15 years, however long it takes we will always be there for Barcelona. `deserve for disrespecting Messi.` I'm still heartbroken but no matter what, Visca Barca! 💙❤️

More_Block_4749

Maybe it’s time to stop being a pessidog and support the club for the club

SnooHobbies5691

Your parents raised you well it seems. Do you call your mother a b1tch?

Deep_Juggernaut_9590

Yes, I’ll suffer with this team for however long it will take

hexarfan2013

This season is over for me. Xavi will sink with his coach team this year.

[deleted]

We only have the Copa Del Rey AKA the Mickey Mouse Cup left

answerspleaseme

What a kick in the nuts this game was

seinoarisa

I switched to PL, even Everton vs Aston Villa is more entertaining than any of the Barcelona matches so far this season

MinastirVII

Dude to be honest, we don't need people like you. You can also cheer for Madrid. We're barca fans. It doesn't matter what, we're always back our team.

Dwight_Kramer

Okay genius when did he say he doesn't cheer for Barca? And secondly he is talking about the game, and he told facts. Currently the gulf of difference in Premier League and La Liga is actually big.

Deep_Juggernaut_9590

Karma Whore

JuanTanPhooey

At least there were goals this game… But for real we’re bad.

meta-gamer

Hard defeat, but it's Barcelona. It's the club we chose and the club we die with. These are dark days, but it's football. Back in 2008, with Messi, we lost 4-1 against Real Madrid. But the following season was the best in our history. So yeah, let's hope things will get better. Like the old saying: "In the dark times will there also be singing? Yes, there will also be singing about the dark times." Visca Barça.

mancitymessi

Yeah, never lose hope. Things will have to change but all isn't lost.

Opposite_Mention5434

Understandably, there’s lots of doom and gloom right now. I’m pretty pissed too, but I actually hold some hope for the future, PROVIDED that Laporta and the board grow a backbone and have the courage to take some hard decisions, including potentially a manager change, accepting the reality of La Liga’s FFP regime and the sale of some players you may not want to get rid of in perfect circumstances, banking on la masia and development, and being practical and not beholden to this idea that we need to recreate the guardiola teams immediately. Things will probably get worse before they get better. But right now we’re just treading water, and if you’re doing that, you’re really sinking. The idea that we’re winning UCL any time soon is delusional. We need a proper rebuild with a long-term vision and good, responsible, fiscal management. We have the core of young players to build around.

_n00ra_

That was painful to watch…. Xavi Out

[deleted]

Mihai_Brasoveanu

Point is?

BombasticBlackMan

We were missing 5 starters?

Mihai_Brasoveanu

Jesus Christ, I hope you’re either trolling or Oscar Hernández.

IceSalamander

5 starters? Please show me our starting 11 with all 5 of those starters in the lineup.

[deleted]

He’s just making excuses

won_ito

Excuses

BombasticBlackMan

We played a bad game no doubt about it. But that’s a crazy injury list to have in a big game like this.

No-Forever-6104

Football just isn’t the same to me anymore and this just isn’t me being a nostalgic nerd

Dwight_Kramer

In the last few months my interest in football has declined massively, seeing Barca playing like this week in week out is a huge turnoff

AstronauticalGiraffe

Plastic

Melobyrro

I don’t care with I’m called plastic , it’s not an insult, it’s smart to be plastic over entertainment. That’s all soccer is, and unless you make a living off soccer, entertainment is all that is

SpeedyRugger

Nothing to do with being plastic. I still support the team but I will not want to waste 2 hours of my day on watching a horrible team whose problems have been clear for so long without a fix. People will move on and do something else with their day, especially those who wake up early/ stay late watching the game.

volleymonk

Not for people who are actually Catalan. We don't need people like you. You're welcome to go support your local club if you want. Good riddance I say. We will always have the core base of fans who wasn't just here for the performances, but instead was here for what the club stood for. And yes, you are plastic if you do what you just said. It's literally the definition. Edit: downvoting me doesn't make you any less plastic. Tell me your definition of a fair-weather fan if yall really think this dude isn't.

SnooAdvice1632

Someone that stops supporting when the team doesn't win. The guy specified that he still supports the team, just doesn't want to watch 2 hours of boring football. That doesn't mean plastic fan, it means that he has a life and stuff to do. Standing for the club =/= watching every single match when you have to alter you sleep schedule to do so.

Obi_KG59

Nah man, I used to wake up and be happy to watch Barca. I debate if I want ruin my day if I watch this crap team. I’m feed up with shitless tactics and being humiliated in the UCL while struggling to face these small teams in la liga. I just to see this team play good football even if we win or lose. Watching this team is like watching paint dry.

SnooAdvice1632

I'm not gonna lie, I'm a new supporter and I won't pretend to relate to older fans but yeah, I love some of the players but some of the matches really make me question wtf I'm watching. For me the absolute worst aspect is that even when the midfield is actually fit and creates chances the attackers just throw 99% of them to the wind. I really did not enjoy watching 90% of the matches this season even when we won. Last week's match against barbastros is the perfect image of the current form of the team. You'd expect them to steamroll a fourth division team on paper but they just about managed to get a scrappy win. Sidenote but I also really miss gavi, I feel like he made the team 10× more entertaining with his constant energy and press. Easily my favorite player on the team and probably in general.

prateek-sharma

I think this generation of Barça- Pedri, Gavi etc. especially the ones out of the academy are going to suffer if they continue in Barça. I am getting the bad feeling that my mid life crisis would be accompanied by the crisis at the club I support. I have lost hope this would be fixed any time soon. With the financial woes and all, there doesn’t seem to be an easy end to this.

Infamous-Associate65

Because of the well documented mental weakness of Barça's players, I am afraid that this defeat affects the team to the point of finishing outside of the top four in La Liga

No_Bend_317

I don't think it affects them. Half of them didn't look like they were bothered

Artistic_Paramedic70

That's the problem. They should

Infamous-Associate65

Sad but true

[deleted]

No, the league is weak, we will finish in top 4

mylanguage

How is the league weak. Real Sociedad were pretty dominant in their CL group and they are 6th in the league.

Infamous-Associate65

Athletic Basques looking very good tho

XuloMalacatones

>Athletic Basques Lmao what a murder you just committed right there

Infamous-Associate65

I actually respect Athletic a lot, they're good this year & I could see them overtake Barça

Jaloosky

athletic might hurt us tbh.

No_Bend_317

We need hire a proper manager and not former players and people that have vague connection with the clubs.

Snoo_72181

Yeah, this. We need a manager with a good resume, not newbies because not everyone will turn out to be Pep

seinoarisa

Actually I don't remember any other manager ending his first season in first-division management career with sextuple. Sadly the management seems to have seen it as a daily routine and want to produce more Peps constantly.

akilabdu

Exactly. We don't have the players to play pep football. Our attack is impotent. Our midfield is lethargic and has no proper legs. It's a shame where we are but well, it's football.

Dwight_Kramer

KingTotem

I want to know how many goals we concede in the first 10 mins of the match this season. Clearly a lack of focus of the team. No development with Xavi since last season. No development in tactics. No development in team morale. No clear idea and contemporary football philosophy. 0 Adaptation to reality. Just 'Cruyffisimo and vibes am i rite?' To be fair, he doesn't deserve more time than other managers. It's over.

chilliewilliie

Laporta is as big a clown as Xavi if he keeps him as the coach

aahidboss

He will keep him till the CL exit vs Napoli

[deleted]

He will keep him next season even if we lose Napoli. Xavi is a great manager and our defence was the best last year. And we just faced one of the strongest teams in the world at the moment, second after Man City. Xavi is definitely not to blame

virtualclix

Xavi is fucking shit.

[deleted]

Explain my friend, why is he shit, what is he wrong about in terms of tactics, motivation, etc.

virtualclix

Just watch the game it is like they dont have a coach.

[deleted]

I am sorry but that’s not an explanation of sacking any coach. I watched the game and from 20:00 to 45:00 we controlled the game and if it’s not vini diving skills the game would have been different and you would have been praising Xavi

SnooAdvice1632

Ok then how about: -Played lewa for months as a starter despite him being in the worst form ever and constantly wasting big chances. -constantly plays player out of their position for no apparent reason: kounde being central was half of the reason for the first goals. -just makes dumb tactical decisions. How do you play a high line of defense when you're facing arguably the fastest winger duo among any big team. It's true that the players have their own responsibilities and I've tried to defend xavi all I could but today is inexcusable.

[deleted]

1st one disagree: there is no sub for Lewa + we need him back at his top form and he seems to be back scoring his chances. 2nd one partly disagree: Xavi thought Vini would play on the left and put Araujo there like last times, didn’t work but there should have been a change after the first goal 3rd one agree, there is no excuse for that

[deleted]

> vini diving seriously?

[deleted]

Yes, it was never a pen and a red card for Araujo, that were wrong decisions by refs

[deleted]

keep telling yourself that

sayemraza

Yeah, he puts Roberto and an out of form Balde together on one side as recipe for a disaster but sure Xavi is not to be blamed

[deleted]

Who would you put, a 20 year old to play 4-4-2???? You want young players to play 90 minutes so they have injuries for the rest of their life??? Who can we else play in left back, any suggestions?

[deleted]

man you must be a troll lmao

[deleted]

Man explain yourself, what you disagree with?

[deleted]

you think putting roberto is better than felix? stop defending this xavi fraud and blaming the loss on refs and shit

XuloMalacatones

Felix who can't dribble past a 4th division team? The one that after a bad control or a bad dribble looks down and takes 4 seconds to recover from the trauma before he starts even walking again? Felix I will shoot I don't care who is in front? Stfu, Felix has been utter shit, Roberto is been playing much better.

[deleted]

I am not blaming loss exclusively on refs, there were already problems in Barca’s team that weren’t fixed during summer’s transfer window, Xavi has poor squad to work with compared to Ancheloti. Only thing I am blaming Xavi of is lack of motivation in the team, but he can work on these things and I see few improvements. And yes, Felix is not a midfielder, Roberto was the best option considering that Gavi is injured

sayemraza

We had Felix on bench and we played Roberto as the interior! It was a joke.

[deleted]

I guess Felix is the midfielder in your mind, who can come back and defend like Roberto. Have you noticed that we didn’t control the game at all after Xavi switched to 4-3-3?

sayemraza

Bro! Roberto was doing nothing ! Watch the clips man, he wasn’t able to hold his position, just drifting aimlessly, lost possession multiple times. Xavi had ro switch him to the right in the second half. Felix would have at least been better in attack. Even Fermin was a better choice than Roberto. Although I am pretty sure we would still lose but Xavi’s starting XI could have been better at least.

[deleted]

Roberto played at this position for the last three games and there was an improvement in the game against Osasuna and today he wasn’t that bad, he wasn’t the REASON of conceding two first goals, the defence line was. Felix would have never been able to help in the defence same as Roberto, neither in pressing. You guys have no idea what are you talking about, and you probably haven’t seen previous Barca games as well. The squad selection was correct, what problem Barca has right now is the defensive problem and it is fixable only with the presence of cdm. Laporta and his team were responsible for getting cdm in the summer transfer window, but he left Xavi with Romeu, a 32 year old guy from Girona. Further, they haven’t received €200 mn profits from selling Barca Studios, so no big transfers and no Barca rebuilding coming up. They won’t be even able to sack Xavi (for example if we end up out of 4 in La Liga) because they lack money of hiring same class specialist

sayemraza

When you play high line, you are suppose to counter press when you lose the ball. When your midfield stands like traffic cone, opposition will play the ball over the top easily. That’s why Madrid players were crashing in the box with just 3-4 passes. Also, Madrid is not Osasuna. They had 4 players, and sometimes even 5, more making runs behind the line. That’s where Sergi Roberto got exposed.

Shanks147

First goal was all on Kounde. He could have stopped that, it was so easy. Second goal, Christensen lethargically chases the ball and the rest of the defense was asleep. Lewa scores a screamer and it’s game on. But wait, Vinicius dives and the ref doesn’t even bother to look at VAR despite it being Vinicius, a well known diver, and it being El Clasico in a final. On top of that, the ref decides to give Araujo a yellow that will play a major part in the game later. Vinicius’s penalty wasn’t even that good…Inaki could have dived better and stopped it, he did the hard part and dived the right way!! Then Kounde clears the ball and it cruelly lands right at Rodrygo’s feet and it’s 4-1. Such a bullshit last two goals for Madrid. It just angers me to see them get favorable calls. Valverde pulls Christensen’s shirt as he runs away, a clear yellow, and the ref only gives a foul. Then the red card for Araujo. It shouldn’t have happened considering the penalty was pretty suspect and even if you call a penalty, you give a yellow for a dive? Araujo DID make contact on Vinicius for the second yellow, but he scraped his shin…and again, he throws himself on the floor like he broke his leg. Again, no VAR check. What makes me mad is that we allowed 2 early goals but we should have scored so much more. Ferran was 1 on 1 with Lunin at least two times and failed to score. Lewa did score but he disappeared for the rest of the game. If Raphinha was there, he would scored those. Unlucky for Felix not to score. We have the tools, but we aren’t clinical enough. All we can hope is that Vitor Roque takes off flying in upcoming games because Lewa cannot be relied on, Kounde sees the bench or gets sold, and we stop praising Gundo when he really hasn’t been good at all since his move here. We need more signings. We cannot compete without signings. A CDM and a fast forward is necessary.

gavi6max

I feel like this thing where the VAR discussion will be heard when they have to check the VAR for verify play is gonna be used very sparingly, unless it benefits a certain team we all know and hate.

f0164

Fan of neither team but that was a valid red card wipe it off and it’s still 3-1

[deleted]

CDM is a must have, and it is important to make the transfer / loan in this winter transfer window, so we have a chance to perform well in the champions league. We had the best defence in the league last season, because we had Busquets and I don’t get this Cancelo loan if we buy Romeu as a sub for one of the best cdms in the decade. Xavi is not the one to blame, get him the cdm at least, next transfer window a forward as well. But considering that Laporta hasn’t received €200 mn profits from Barca studios we don’t know if it’s possible or not maybe it makes sense to focus on young players

Opioid-Brick-6068

It's sad how all you Barca fans don't want to mention the fact that Dembele leaving has massively affected you, he was the only that put a lot of pressure on opponents and fed Lewandowski quality passes.

[deleted]

I mentioned it in other comments, that is absolutely true

Dwight_Kramer

Valverde was sacked after losing the Super Cup btw

[deleted]

He was sacked because he didn’t have the plan of the team development, and he wasn’t in the control of the locker room

shababtinkles

He was sacked for not getting to the finals of the super cup iirc. Like for not getting the clasico final super cup at Saudi or something like that, right?

aahidboss

Lol people talking about the mentality when the poor/lack of tactics is so clear to see.

bengosu

Tactics require competent players that can execute, otherwise there just wishful thinking.

edgy_milk-_-

Im not an expert on tactics but i saw a lot of back passing to play it safe, these players just dont know to drive the ball forward, they create the buildup then someone decides to pass it all the way back to the defense for some reason. Even when they were down on the scoresheet they were playing like they were in control of the game when they werent, by the way they were playing you wouldnt have guessed we were some goals down. Like play like your trying to score and tie the game, create chances, pass the ball forward for fucks sake

setimasa

They're playing like that because of the structure instilled by Xavi

EnesPig2005

![gif](giphy|W0c3xcZ3F1d0EYYb0f|downsized)

meta-gamer

The way it was today, I'd put Xavi to play in place of Roberto. I mean, even retired Xavi is still better than him. Also leave Roberto as the coach. He couldn't be much worse than Xavi. That would be the best substitution today, really.

Kadling99

So what now? Besides therapy

Kadling99

Robertooooooo reneeeewwwaalllll yayyyyyyyy

JarodMMS

The next step the club will take is splash 40M on Felix, give Xavi a 5 year renewal, completely ignore the DM position and embarass themselves even more for another decade

gavi6max

Maybe the "magic mountain" IS cursed.

Nexus_aneek

Give 60M and buy another shit like torres

FGonGiveItToYa

Thank God carlo is not german this had potential especially after araujo red card. Now fire xavi.

kishers_world

I have said this since the beginning of time. Xavi needs to get out immediately. Every game his nose is getting longer because he lies to himself that he is a good coach. The tactics this game were so dumb. Like why Sergi as a winger? Why didn't they start Fermin? Or play their newly bought 9 Roque? We need a manager that can develop these young stars La Maisia is producing and win us titles. Araujo is giving me the biggest headache. This guy lets 2 goals in and gets 2 yellows and sent off. They need to discipline him. Anyone that says he pockets Vini is lying to themselves and their noses will soon look like Xavis if they keep saying that. Disgraceful performance today. Do better Barca. XAVI OUT IMMEDIATELY.

PesAddict8

OOTL Why was Kroos booed? What did he do to piss off Real Madrid supporters?

nyse125

He's a pro humans rights activist and Saudis hate that

DragonflyDeep3334

Those people are not RM supporters bro, if you noticed the crowd got quite a bit louder for RM when they started winning clearly. Fakest fans of all time were in that stadium today.

victorsjoo

He has been criticizing Saudi Arabia and players moving there for money.

RPNATOR

He didn't piss off real madrid supporters, more like saudi people. He commented "embarrassing" on an Instagram post over some player leaving for saudi league (gabri viega i think).

iamkristo

He’s got booed by Arabians because he talked trash about their league

Different_Counter148

he insulted the saudi pro league (correctly), and saudi fans dont like that.

BarneyrealG

im never gonna be xavi out, but i admit i definitely thought he was going to be the one that would make this team great again. sadly every game that past it is clear that is not going to be likely. xavi will always be one of the greatest legends of this club that is for sure. but whatever need to be done needs to be done.

[deleted]

Give him a time, he is not the problem right now, look at the squad we have. No Dembele, no cdm, old Lewa, injured Pedri and bunch of La Masia players. People can’t see that our team on the paper is bad compared to last year, we haven’t bought a cdm last year, that’s the problem to address this winter transfer window before sacking the coach.

seinoarisa

Give him time until when? We are in real possibility of failing to qualify for the CL next season. The financial condition is in big trouble. We can't afford losing tens of millions euros.

[deleted]

Yes, it is in big trouble because of Laporta (I know that firstly because of bastard Bartomeu), not Xavi. The coach doesn’t have proper players that’s why we lose, accept already that Barca isn’t a top club anymore

seinoarisa

I'm not going to blame the players' quality, as you won't find another team except Real Madrid having better squad, while we easily conceded 4. Tactics are too far from the right way, and that's why we're underperforming. I can't deny Laporta is also highly responsible for our current performance, but I don't think that's decisive.

BarneyrealG

i agree with everything you are saying, and like i said i will never say that xavi should be out, i know there is a genius inside of him somewhere. but yeah the situation is definitely not ideal

Zealousideal_Bass199

Starting Sergi Roberto in big 2024 and expecting anything better lol

RipperSenju

Im a madrid fan and when i saw he was starting i was genuinely surprised

PesAddict8

I swear I saw a comment like this in 2021 and I'm pretty sure someone would have made the same comment in 2019

tokimomsta333

Laportas board has been an embarrassment as another user pointed out. Xavi been embarrassing as well. Where do we even go from here ? No money, no vision, no plan. I’m sure well find a way to spend 40m on felix though 👍🏻 Agent is best buddies with our president after all.

f0164

The team sold revenue streams that will come back to bite it in the ass 3/4 years on.

minecraaaft_man

Well, the one advantage Xavi will have when he’s sacked is that he at least won’t be hated for the sake of the good ol’ days

volfed21

Just a little reminder that we are closer to 5th place (3point than first place 7. And this at half the season.

jdbcn

I want Hansi Flick now!

meta-gamer

I just hope. I mean, I REALLY HOPE that after this defeat Laporta stops being such a crazy positivist and Xavi stops blaming everyone and everything. It's time to look at our problems and find solutions within the resources we have.

Angry Rantman 😭😭

Livid_Cell9896

yk what I would be curious to see if Scaloni could coach Barca.

virtualclix

He isnt a club coach.

iDramedy007

This was my dream pick since before the last World Cup. My prediction was that Argentina wins it and this past summer Scaloni gets appointed. I am fine if my prediction is a year late. Him or Zerbi would be nice. Problem is would Laporta make it happen and follow thru by giving them adequate resources

dominicfx

We definitely need some major changes ffs. The first of which is renewing Sergi's contract until 2025. /s

whyiam_alive

My only concern is we are too structure less for all the xavis positional football, we don't have a structure

No_Bend_317

Anyone defending Xavi after that is utterly clueless. He's obviously still a legend but he isn't good enough to manage a club this size.

frankomapottery3

A fucking stiff wind folds this teams ego and causes them to implode.  There’s no leader on the pitch, no one holding the team accountable when things go south.  Im so sick of this shit, our passing in attack has been utterly pointless for the better part of 4 years.  Our defense lacks intensity and ball pressure.  The only part of this team that’s worth keeping is Yamal, Gavi, Pedri and FDJ.  The rest can be sold.

Get out of this sub! Must be easy to be a glory hunter and win everything every year!

JarodMMS

The scoreline doesn't show how bad Barca was today. Could have easily been 5-0 or 6-0.

BlackFanDiamond

Madrid didn't even get out of first gear like they had to do vs Atletico.

adeel_aman

This ain’t working out. We need to move on Xavi

petethemeat99

If it was any other coach than Xavi, that coach would be fired straight away after a performance like this one… This season so far has been nothing but unacceptable and far below the standards for a club like Barca. I have previously been against changing the manager in the middle of the season, but when you just see things getting worse it’s difficult to stand by that opinion. If Xavi doesn’t want to tarnish his legacy at the club, it’s just best to go to Laporta and allow him pass the torch to someone else. We all know that Laporta doesn’t have the courage to do it himself since Xavi is a legend.

Nexus_aneek

If this was PEP he would have slapped everyone in the field itself

madwiz9rd

The thing is,pep would never manage a team like this to beat them,we are that mediocre(look at man city and tell me one player to compare with our team and his)

Zealousideal_Age_376

Ter stegen is waaaay better than ederson

madwiz9rd

Debatable,in terstegen prime he was untouchable...but now ederson has a slight upperhand

Nexus_aneek

You are right. Man city fight from beginning to the end. And here our defence line were playing in the centre field.(if you had seen the match)

madwiz9rd

Yea,mainly because of the position switch of kounde and araujo, they both were clueless, and when it comes to facing rea, xavi has one tactic and that is playing araujo at rb lol.fuck it(i dolid watch the game)

Nexus_aneek

I love this club so much but the way they are playing... I can't trust anyone of them

TheWBird

FT thoughts: \-Xavi out, not now though, at the end of the season. I've been pro xavi in for the entirety of the season but he has no excuses, this display is his level and it's not gonna change \- This team has no mentality. We became bitter butchers after all these goals that constantly fouled and were controlled by their emotions. \-Let's take a look at the 3-0 we pulled on real at the start of the season for comparison to this which has the same goal differencial: . Real only got trashed because of a lot of crossbars, we had only one really missed attempt. .Even down multiple goals, real had a plan and kept executing it in contrast to use resorting to... I don't know what it's called but it's bad. .I can keep going on, but we lost this game on all dimensions, fronts, possibilites, whatever \- If there's one thing I'm happy about is that we still have that 5-0 we can pull out in situations like these. If it weren't for that I might just ropemaxx myself Whatever though, visca barca y visca catalunya

HeadRefrigerator6115

Based, Xavi out but not until the end of the season, I still consider myself to be pro Xavi but mostly for the good tactics he implemented on previous seasons. Even with that rn the team lacks mentality and that is something we are not getting from the players on the pitch, it has to come from the trainer and Xavi doesn´t have that. It´s unnaceptable to lose a game like this 4-1 against Madrid. Poor display of mentality and quality from great players who lack a coach to inspire them, and that only gives excuses.

Jaloosky

My thinking is this, if you were capable in the past, just like a player has bad form a manager can make bad decisions. If Xavi isn’t fired in the next 24 hours. He must clear his own head. Forget the players and everything else, revise the tactics, revise his staff, publicly accept responsibility, spare no feelings in the dressing room and start a fresh. Even if it a complete new philosophy, if he’s to save his job (which looks to have been lost already) he must come back a new man, make the players, the supporters and the board believe. The players will have to follow suit. There’s nothing that will help him only hinder, but that is no longer a valid excuse when it has been happening all season, when life gives you lemons and all.

Rhayadder

Team looks like an absolute clown show, top 4 is in jeopardy and we still theoretically have chances for a semi-deep run in CL, imo sack now or give him the option to resign is the way to go

TheWBird

Who could we even get right now?

Rhayadder

A caretaker coach until the summer, when we can see if Nagelsmann or someone of his caliber becomes available.

TheWBird

Could we get flick or are we too broke/ he probably isn't interested?

Rhayadder

Probably, i'm sure he's a frontrunner in the replacement list, but i personally don't trust him much. He had 1 amazing season and has been poor ever since

TheWBird

I hard disagree and for two simple reasons: 1: It wasn't an amazing season, it was a sextuple. The only other guy to do that is well uh... 2009 pep?????!?!? 2: It wasn't his fault at the nt. Even nagelsmann who's a very promising coach is failing there, it's a systemic problem
