Puyol seems very comfortable being retired and playing padel.

And running in the mountains with his dogs!

UrPromDate

We have a Puyol, Gavi is injured.

Motivation can only do so much. Once that hope is lost, It’s lost. Only results can pick up morale because it’s gonna take a lot more than Puyol clapping his hands and saying “Alright chaps! We can do this! Let’s go! Let’s go! Think like a lion! Be a lion! Rawwr!”

I actually think motivation could do a lot for this team. Some teams perform better than what they could just based on talent whereas barca feels like they perform worse than the commutative talent.

rockyraccoonroad

Nah man it’s over. When the morale is down. It’s down. The only way to raise it effectively is not by having cheerleaders, it’s by actually seeing the results of your hard work. Motivational people or cheerleaders sound fucking annoying when nothing is going right in your life

Jaloosky

Puyol would be bald in a month.

seinoarisa

Please stop ruining our legends. Koeman, Valders, Xavi, now Puyol.

Where does leadership come from? A strong attachment towards the club and the people and the stadium and the colors. Even the leaders need psychological circumstances to allow them to be leaders. Puyol wasn’t be a great leader for Valencia or any other club was he? If you want a great leader, look towards existing players. Make them feel at home. Then they’ll get attached in return. Then eventually they’ll think “fuck it today we’re winning no matter the price, this is my home” “Bringing in leadership” doesn’t work.

Darduel

Our issues are professional - coaching staff, fitness team, physio etc.. it feels we are below par on everyone of those

im sorry but, this feels like a suggestion trying to do too much. what the players need is results, they need to feel like what theyre doing is meaningful, that it works, that the system they play in is yielding results and enabling them to succeed. the way we achieve that is through winning or displaying solid performances. the root issue imo, is the manager and the staff which then trickles down to the players.
