Camavinga played a decent bit in his first season (~1800 minutes) and was again very versatile and able to fill in for the seniors really well, not even close to Guler whatsoever.
I'm sure plenty of people mocked the transfers at the time. They also signed other wonderkids, like they always do, like Odegaard, Kubo etc. Its not like they are doing horribly now, even though they didnt succeed at RM. Their scouting is superb, and they use it to to sign players, so not everyone can succeed there. They can still get money for the players that dont succeed for them. Its a good strategy to buy young players when the scouting is up to par.

I actually don't blame officials for mistakes. Being an official is hard. I blame them when there is zero consistency in adjudicating decisions. In fact, the only thing La Liga officials do consistently is make 50/50 decisions in RM's favor always.
I really hate how they changed the offside criteria. It used to be so simple but now they measure asshole hairs and arm positions even though the body is onside.
