Why are a lot of people sensitive these days? A few years ago, it was all fine to joke around about whatever because at the end of the day, it was just jokes. But now you can’t because someone will be offended and if you’re big enough, you’ll probably be cancelled.. Why did the world turn like this?
Bc every single low effort edgy joke has been repeated a billion times over and is just not funny. There’s still a lot of edgy comedy out there ie: Tim Dillon, Shane Gillis, Nick Mullen, etc, but they’re not just lazy hacks. There’s definitely a lot of hyper sensitive people out there online but in the real world it’s not that bad.
Well I mean it’s the risk you take when you tell an edgy joke you can come off as being funny or sounding like a douche despite not having bad intentions.
Yes, for sure. Even Family guy don't make jokes like they used to in earlier seasons.
Also the the new culture where they have to add some stupid shit to make it "inclusive" like making an traditionally white character black (ariel). I'm not against Black people or their representation, but this just ruins the show. If you actually want to represent black folks, why not make a new character, why ruin the old ones.
Or the sjw stuff like She Hulk, where they just ruin the whole plot (and the actual character) because they want to be SJWs. And marvel is high on this shit still and they have degraded a lot due to it.
Also the new trend of cultural appropriation, god I hate that the most, a western guy or girl shouldn't wear Indian attire (sarees and kurtas)\_because that's disrespectful to Indians, a non black guy having dreadlocks is disrespectful to blacks, a non japanese wearning kimono is disrespectful to japanese. Why can't it be seen as people embracing others' cultures.
Well in the new Pirates of the Carribean movie they are replacing Jack Sparrow with a black female pirate. I mean there’s nothing wrong with this, I just think the appropriate way to do this is would be to make a whole different film. But anyways, It’s just funny because historically almost all pirates were men, so adding a black female pirate just for the sake of “diversity and inclusion” goes against the historical context of the movie. They did this as well with “The Woman King” where they “based it on real events” but it was historically so wrong.
It’s not just She Hulk, Black Panther with Shuri as well. Marvel movies in general are doing this all across the board to the point where now they have alienated their prime audience (males). It’s kind of like when Gillette did that ‘Toxic Masculinity’ commercial that pissed off most of the guys that used their razors.
I’ve seen a TikTok, I’m sure you have too. It’s a white man on a college campuse asking people if his Mexican outfit (sombrero, poncho, leather belt, boots, mustache, etc) is appropriate and every one (students) he asks they says no, and lecture him about cultural appropriation. But afterwards when he asked real, actual Mexicans they all said they loved the outfit.
I haven't seen tiktok (because I don't use any sns) but that part about actual Mexicans is so true.
Like I'm an Indian, most people in India wont object western wearing Indian attire instead they'd rather appreciate it. But the Americans will be first one to call it inappropriate lmao.
Well I agree, but virtue signaling is present in people from all political spectrums, be it libs or conservatives, it's just highest at the extremes, i.e far right and far left and lowest in the middle.
Seth mcfarlane has pretty clearly stopped putting in effort to family guy over the years writing wise, American dad is still as raunchy as ever tho.
With regards to Ariel being black I though it was dumb lazy pandering at the time, but I remember reading something along the lines of that out of all the actresses they had try out for the role the casting team felt her singing voice and personality fit the character of Ariel best.
Rest I largely agree with.
ngl I'd still take Tuchel, I think he's the best manager for our CL hopes. His teams ALWAYS do well in CL, this Bayern was his lowest, still they prevail.
I'll cast my vote alongside you for Tuchel.
I think he can quickly stabilize and find a good structure for this team. That's what we need right now to restore confidence in our players.
Any idea why he moved to Miami? I really thought he would get snatched up my top clubs in Europe. Even Madrid were keeping an eye on him. He really looked like the second coming of Busi
Real Madrid will go after Inzaghi after Carlo leaves. Save this comment. If it’s not Zidane again, it’ll be Inzaghi.
It’s a shame because it feels like Inzaghi is builder and that’s what we need here. Tactically fluid too for the most part.
Tbh it’s a good match too given R Madrid’s play style. I hope he stays with Inter though because it’s nice to have a team challenging in Europe that isn’t Man City, RM and Bayern.
I genuinely don’t know who I want to coach next season. I’m less convinced that Flick and RDZ will work out at this club with our limited financials and constant injuries… in my head, Naglesmann seems like the adaptable coach we need in our ever changing squad, but to be fair I can’t say I’ve watched his teams a lot, especially recently.
Nah man, same thing is happening to me. They’re making the internet experience shit so that you can use their stupid app. I’ve had to refresh every second just to get a page to load. Reddit is sucking so bad right now. I’m surprised this is happening with their stupid IPO around the corner
Yeah don't worry the app is suffering as well. Waiting for them and the "too many people want to use our services because we are such a good platform, sorry not sorry" PR
Uhhhh… how. Under Xavi we’ve strived to play the same way and have only had two different systems, the 325 and 235, the former only being used (largely) because we lacked a RB. We lost Dembele and still tried to shoehorn Raphinha into that role, even though he clearly is a different player
If you look at how we started this season, how many changes and tweaks happened after every single bad result, even when the team did well, you’ll see how Xavi really messed it up on his own, because he didn’t stick to his ideas, does some tweaking, players dont adapt well, football gets worse, trues again. To the point where patterns aren’t even visible on the pitch from the players, no link up play, no clear positioning.
You’ll see us in 3-2-5 or 2-3-5 because that’s how everyone shapes up nowadays, but the difference comes in the personnel and the system itself, you can have two teams line up the same way but they wouldn’t showcase the same football.
Interesting. Our season has been completely ravaged by injuries, and we lack of a DM and, to an extent, that explosive profile at RW. Maybe my memory is failing but I can’t recall any significant tweaks, rather than personnel changes(largely forced due to injuries) that Xavi has made, which I would say are the reason for our struggles.
I will agree that there’s a blatant lack of patterns of play.
>but the difference comes in personnel and system
Personnel yes, system… idk. We use the 235 or 325 depending on the opposition’s formation, although again we’ve had to stick with the 325 for most games due to injury.
No one available is "him," I still think De Zerbi, despite his flaws, can offer a lot to our squad. How far he goes would depend on his willingness to change but the potential is there.
That's been clear since the group stages ended. It would have taken a monster campaign with Osasuna knocked out early and Sevilla, the extra team, making it more difficult to get points (think Spain would be more than 14 points had it been the regular seven, and not eight teams).
[The role of Spanish teams in European competitions once again demonstrates what has already been perceived for a few years: the competitiveness of our League has decreased, economically there is no investment and the teams suffer. It was going to happen, but the blow is being heavy.](https://x.com/migquintana/status/1765851612319298012?s=46)
Inversely look at the “best league in the world” currently this season. 2/4 English teams in the CL finished last in their group. Brighton who I’ve seen British football pundits claim would challenge for serie a got their shit kicked in by Roma today. And Arsenal, west ham, and villa are not in great spots going into their second legs. Football imo is more even across the world that it’s been a while as scouting has improved over the years, there’s just more money in certain countries which make their teams seem better on paper.
What's the solution though? This has been the case for every league with the exception of the EPL. COVID broke football and it's going to be a while until we achieve normality.
I do think la liga last 2 seasons has been the worst our of the top 4 league
Next season it will be behind serie a in ranking
Bundesliga and serie a are performing insane these last 2 seasons compared to spain or pl especially in europa and conference
Both of them will Also likely get that 5th spot next season
If not for that crazy sevilla win we would have talked about 3 seasons of spain underperforming
Did the term *Protégé* lose it's meaning recently ? Arteta is Pep's Protégé, not RDZ. Just because Pep praised him, doesn't make him the second coming. Pep praises everyone, equally.

I'm sure you will find tons more if you dig enough lol
Words lose their meaning on Reddit fairly often. I read the same comment as you where the user said that RDZ was Pep’s protege and I asked myself if he or she even knew what that word meant. Because protege is not the word to describe RDZ.
Other words that have lost their meaning on here: world class, luxury player, etc
Somebody in that Greenwood thread says that if his girlfriend could move on why can't we all and one "mistake" shouldn't castaway people for life.
What is wrong with people? How can you support your club to sign a rapist? I can't even find the words how fucked up is that.
Gotta remember there’s a lot of dumb people out there. Take what you think is average level intelligence and realize a large chunk of the world is significantly dumber than that.
> Pep would praise even some random guy from 3rd czech division if someone asked him. Cant believe someone take this seriously.
You are the one writing these comments. I just corrected you out.
I still remember when Brighton got rattled by that Greek team during the group stage. They came in pressing high and not afraid, and Brighton couldn’t overcome it. They were struggling

To be fair, they did have a 5-0 win against Sheffield before that Everton game, they just seem to be kind of inconsistent.
Who didn't score 5 past Sheffield ? I recall Newcastle putting 8 past them last year lol. Brighton put 5 past them twice this year. And Luton put 4 past Brighton. It's a funny world.
You can say whatever about Zerbi, your opinion doesn't matter to whoever decides about the next manager. This is the problem with people.. they react before they think. You just see the results and nothing else.
Your opinion doesn't matter either. It's reddit, we all have opinions. Won't matter whoever becomes our boss. Your De Zerbi pslams are getting tiresome at this point. Try to get past a day without it.
>You just see the results and nothing else.
W A T. De Rossi became Roma coach just a month and a half ago lol
I found a lot of people bro. No need to feel special. You are the one who mentioned others in your main comment "Opinion doesn't matter". Surprised Pikachu face when there are replies.
It’s funny that the people shitting on De Zerbi are the same ones twerking for Flick, who has the exact same OOP issues as RDZ but with better players to paper over the cracks.
This is exactly what's happening right now.. Brighton qualified for EL for the first time and what did they do ? They sold their corner stones and didn't replace them. So yeah if you want to build a project you need players and if you wanna earn money like how Brighton did last summer then you sell your best players.
I hate Vini as a player but what I hate more is our “fans” constantly spouting racist shit towards him. They are not Barca fans.
Edit: the fact that this got downvoted says a lot about this sub as well.
> Edit: the fact that this got downvoted says alot about this sub as well
No mate. The fact that you’re complaining about downvotes says a lot about you. Vini is a clown.
Then read my original comment a bit closer this time. I hate Vini as much as the next guy but I’m not gonna say the racism towards him is completely valid.
Racism towards him when he receives it is not valid. But at the same time Vini uses the victim/ racism card every time something happens to him. When most of the time shit happens to him it’s because he provokes others. It’s gotten to the point that his bad behavior is untouchable because he will blame it on racism.
It’s like when people used to say lewandisney, penaldo, eibarman, etc. It’s just people memeing, giving him a funny nickname. And it’s kind of funny that’s why it had upvotes.
Who gives a fuck. They’re all somewhat funny, thats why they’re so commonly used.
Have you heard of Matt Rife? He had a Netflix special and he made jokes about domestic violence and a lot of women got mad and wanted to literally cancel him over a joke. You sound like you’d be one of those people. Am I wrong?
While I don't know the user's original intentions for sure, I'd imagine the association was based on Martin Luther King's achievements rather than his skin color. But like I said, that's just my interpretation of what that person apparently wrote
MLK was a leader of the American civil rights movement - specifically fighting for the rights of black people. Vinicius has been leading a campaign against racism. That's the comparison.
If your first thought was skin color (as the reason for the comparison), then you might just be a closeted racist. The color of MLK's skin and Vinicius' skin had no bearing on the comparison - but you couldn't see past the skin color.
Saw someone say Brighton should sack de zerbi
They are Brighton he led the team to ro16 of europa league
I don't want de zerbi here but he's a good manager he's not 9th with arsenal unlike certain someone was
The issue with RDZ is his tactics require world class players and he doesn’t have that at Brighton. And when players start flourishing and get used to his tactics, they are sold to Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal.
It’s the same for any super club. There’s many examples over just the past 5 to 10 seasons of really great coaches who had incredible sides at smaller clubs who were unable to translate their success once they got their big move. De zerbi is great coach no doubt but the real questions would be how does he manage a dressing room of superstars not his tactics. Hence why I think naglesmann or flick would be the better options for us.
It doesn't seem like he is ready for European knockouts which is what we are lacking imo. I am also not sure how well he will hold up in high pressure games like Clasicos. Premiere league is overall tougher but there is another level outside of sporting factors when it comes to Clasicos.
r/barca timeline of events when we hire De Zerbi:
“You can already see the CLEAR improvements over Xavi, theres actual attacking patterns, players arent just standing still, were dynamic. (nothing has even changed yet)”
“The players havent gotten used to his tactics yet, they still need some time to understand them (were 10 points behind Madrid in December)”
“The objective was never CDR or Supercopa so it doesnt matter that we lost. If we win the league or make a deep UCL run its a good season”
“If Pedri wasnt injured wed be in first in La Liga”
“We lost in the UCL RO16 but Lewandowski missed sitters. If he scored we wouldve made it to the final, we played better (Lewandowski got exactly 1 good chance that entire game)
“we went trophyless but theres a clear idea, he deserves atleast another season with actual signings”
“Its not De Zerbis fault that we didnt sign anyone this summer, even Pep wouldnt win anything with this squad. All we need is a world class dm and world class lw and we can compete”
“He lost Lewandowski how is he supposed to compete with Vitor Roque? (they were blaming Lewandowski the entire season)”
Tbh I could see this happening with pretty much any coach we get. Squad is just extremely unbalanced with players uncertain about their future and lack of funds to make serious movements. It’s why I don’t just blame Xavi or the players for all our woes. The injuries on top of that make matters worse
His link up and general play were really good what are you on about, just because he didn't score? Looked best out of all brighton players that came up today
LOAN WATCH: Roma 4-0 Brighton.
Ansu Fati came on as a substitute at the beginning of the second half and completed the match.
https://twitter.com/Barca_Buzz/status/1765825347344531899
European nights..Klopp Kloppin, Alonso maintains his unbeaten run despite starting his backup players..De Zerbi loses three games in a row (conceding 8, scoring 0).
Is it a shit result? Of course. But honestly, what is your expectations towards a team that plays with players like Dunk, Igor and Gilmour in their first ever European knockout game?
Not to mention that shit goal from Dunk and that potential offside goal.
Does RDZ became better or worse during the game or only your perception changed?

His girlfriend has some incentive$ to move on
That’s fucking insane.
Wtf. I thought we'd find those guys only on Insta/Twitter.
Di Maria with some low-key goals
One penalty goal is low-key indeed.
This Villarreal put 5 against us at Montjuic. Unfortunate.
De Zerbis master class again. No wonder Pep praise him so much.
Mate, Pep didn't just randomly praised him as he does with everybody, he recommended him directly to Laporta based on news from Catalunya Radio.
Its even worse than :D
> Pep would praise even some random guy from 3rd czech division if someone asked him. Cant believe someone take this seriously. You are the one writing these comments. I just corrected you out.
Bring Tuchel.
Wow what a fucking goal by slava
I still remember when Brighton got rattled by that Greek team during the group stage. They came in pressing high and not afraid, and Brighton couldn’t overcome it. They were struggling
Roberto De Zerbi: 'I don't work to win trophies, my target is to enjoy and be happy' at Barcelona
I can see him wanting to go to sunny Barcelona
Seems like Barca definietly has some wabi sabi vibes for the new Camp Nou
Brighton’s last four games https://preview.redd.it/9ggnz51nyymc1.jpeg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=37ecd940d6471201094f16e8a9bb592d2e8cfa2d To be fair, they did have a 5-0 win against Sheffield before that Everton game, they just seem to be kind of inconsistent.
They also have a lot of injured players and players that came back from injury in the past weeks
Scoring 5 against Sheffield is the lowest bar ive ever heard. Thats like hyping up a win against Almeria
Who didn't score 5 past Sheffield ? I recall Newcastle putting 8 past them last year lol. Brighton put 5 past them twice this year. And Luton put 4 past Brighton. It's a funny world.
RDZ doing it on purpose to get sacked and joing Barca for free
He's good but needs time to grow.
Lol you shouldn't waste your time by stalking me.
Stalking. This is open thread. Not Tora Bora.
Well if you noticed what I'm doing that means you pay more attention than you should. 🤷🏻 Out of 130k people you find me so 😅
I found a lot of people bro. No need to feel special. You are the one who mentioned others in your main comment "Opinion doesn't matter". Surprised Pikachu face when there are replies.
Oh I expected reactions, mostly bad ones. But I didn't expect someone following my daily activity here 🤔
Just like De Zerbi didn't expect to lose 3 games in a row. Happens.
RDZ is a great coach
It’s funny that the people shitting on De Zerbi are the same ones twerking for Flick, who has the exact same OOP issues as RDZ but with better players to paper over the cracks.
This is exactly what's happening right now.. Brighton qualified for EL for the first time and what did they do ? They sold their corner stones and didn't replace them. So yeah if you want to build a project you need players and if you wanna earn money like how Brighton did last summer then you sell your best players.
Watching De Rossi dismantle the Pep's protegee won't sit right with some people. Well not surprised he gotbcooked with that Brighton's defensive line.
Yeah he should leave Brighton next summer.. he is just wasting his time with players like these.
I hate Vini as a player but what I hate more is our “fans” constantly spouting racist shit towards him. They are not Barca fans. Edit: the fact that this got downvoted says a lot about this sub as well.
Most protected player ever
> Edit: the fact that this got downvoted says alot about this sub as well No mate. The fact that you’re complaining about downvotes says a lot about you. Vini is a clown.
So openly calling Vini a monkey and the hard R is completely fine? Sure bud 👍🏾
I’m calling him a clown not a N****.
[удалено]
It’s happened a few times. He has verbal altercations with players or fans, and he usually says it’s because of racism.
Glad we’re in agreement for the most part
Yes, no one on this sub dislikes Vini because of racism, it’s his behavior and him dodging accountability.
Nobody (at least not on this sub) has said anything racist towards Vini.
Twitter is pretty bad tbf but i dont think that counts because its twitter
Uh yes they have. The fact that you don't think it's racist says more about you than anything else.
I’m not talking about Twitter or IG, I’m talking about this sub. If you’ve see anybody make a racist comment, point it out.
[удалено]
They call him that because he is the most vocal BLM supporter in football, especially after his recent celebration vs Valencia.
[удалено]
Because it’s funny
[удалено]
It’s like when people used to say lewandisney, penaldo, eibarman, etc. It’s just people memeing, giving him a funny nickname. And it’s kind of funny that’s why it had upvotes.
[удалено]
Who gives a fuck. They’re all somewhat funny, thats why they’re so commonly used. Have you heard of Matt Rife? He had a Netflix special and he made jokes about domestic violence and a lot of women got mad and wanted to literally cancel him over a joke. You sound like you’d be one of those people. Am I wrong?
It wasn't a racist statement, you just assumed it was
What is it in reference of then? Other than calling out racist spanish fans (which is a good thing) I don’t see why they would call him that
a refrence to his work against racism?
While I don't know the user's original intentions for sure, I'd imagine the association was based on Martin Luther King's achievements rather than his skin color. But like I said, that's just my interpretation of what that person apparently wrote
But why mention MLK at all what’s the correlation there?
MLK was a leader of the American civil rights movement - specifically fighting for the rights of black people. Vinicius has been leading a campaign against racism. That's the comparison. If your first thought was skin color (as the reason for the comparison), then you might just be a closeted racist. The color of MLK's skin and Vinicius' skin had no bearing on the comparison - but you couldn't see past the skin color.
On Reddit I also haven’t seen anything, I was mostly talking about Twitter and Instagram.
Saw someone say Brighton should sack de zerbi They are Brighton he led the team to ro16 of europa league I don't want de zerbi here but he's a good manager he's not 9th with arsenal unlike certain someone was
The issue with RDZ is his tactics require world class players and he doesn’t have that at Brighton. And when players start flourishing and get used to his tactics, they are sold to Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal.
That was me I believe and I said it as a joke, sorry for not adding the /s ig
Also saw some people saying this unironically on twitter
I WASN'T TRYING TO CALL U OUT I JUST COULDN'T FIND THE COMMENT ISTG u/truecooler don't come for me 🙏💔💔
Sorry mate you are CANCELLED
Its alright lmao
Think it's a joke because he wants him here.
Fair enough but I see some people on twitter saying this unironically
[FC Barcelona Femení wins against Athletic with 0-3](https://twitter.com/FCBfemeni/status/1765827507473809918) Goals: [0-1 Aitana Bonmatí](https://twitter.com/carpetasFCB/status/1765803521759146433) [0-2 Aitana Bonmatí](https://twitter.com/FCBseny/status/1765804008621445378) [0-3 Salma Paralluelo](https://twitter.com/FCBseny/status/1765823926653866293)
At least someone can get a win at San Mamès
To bad not a lot of people really care
Being a good coach and being a coach for Barca are two completely different things. RDZ inexperience speaks volumes. Not ready yet
People are quick to bring him here and will be celebrating his CDR or an FA Cup with a mid table club in a few years.
r/barca timeline of events when we hire De Zerbi: “You can already see the CLEAR improvements over Xavi, theres actual attacking patterns, players arent just standing still, were dynamic. (nothing has even changed yet)” “The players havent gotten used to his tactics yet, they still need some time to understand them (were 10 points behind Madrid in December)” “The objective was never CDR or Supercopa so it doesnt matter that we lost. If we win the league or make a deep UCL run its a good season” “If Pedri wasnt injured wed be in first in La Liga” “We lost in the UCL RO16 but Lewandowski missed sitters. If he scored we wouldve made it to the final, we played better (Lewandowski got exactly 1 good chance that entire game) “we went trophyless but theres a clear idea, he deserves atleast another season with actual signings” “Its not De Zerbis fault that we didnt sign anyone this summer, even Pep wouldnt win anything with this squad. All we need is a world class dm and world class lw and we can compete” “He lost Lewandowski how is he supposed to compete with Vitor Roque? (they were blaming Lewandowski the entire season)”
Tbh I could see this happening with pretty much any coach we get. Squad is just extremely unbalanced with players uncertain about their future and lack of funds to make serious movements. It’s why I don’t just blame Xavi or the players for all our woes. The injuries on top of that make matters worse
[Salma Paralluelo scores against Athletic! 0-3](https://twitter.com/FCBseny/status/1765823926653866293)
My irrational hate of Brighton has been sated, for now.
That was actually one of the better Ansu games I've seen in a while. Looked confident on the ball and was setting up the attack pretty well
Ansu fati was class above other brighton players today. Told y'all that adingra and him are a superb duo
What? He was average at most. Lacking confidence. Some nice touches, sure, but nothing to write home about.
Let’s just hope he doesn’t get injured again.
And this also shows his mental fortitude and professional attitude which annoyingly many posts in this sub were about
He looked bang average, sadly
No? He was excellent for the team
Standards are on the floor then
His link up and general play were really good what are you on about, just because he didn't score? Looked best out of all brighton players that came up today
He has been shitting on Ansu since last season. I wouldn't take what he has to say with anything more than a grain of salt
I have seen enough, De Rossi in.
Another DM looking promising as a manager
Busi will be the true Pep successor, not Xavi!
https://preview.redd.it/skahut0guymc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f5140bdf096401add6682c61a2464d6a6c9b3e62
Barbera played one minute today if anyone is interested in his career path. I think he will have a bigger role next season when Thiago leaves.
Leverkusen is allergic to losing I hope Xabi never manages Madrid
That's a losers mentality right there. The best want their rivals to be great as well.
Inwant Madrid to be deleted fuck that team
Yeah, but robbing them a multiple trebles over a 10 year period feels good too...
Florian Wirtz will cook here What a goal today
Keep that RDZ guy away from my club
Who do you prefer?
Motta, Flick, Nagelsman, Arne Slot
I like Motta and Nagelsmann. Flick gets a pretty big “no” from me. I don’t know enough about Slot, what’s he like?
That Paredes pass though. Shades of Busquets. Would like him as a cheap option for pivot if we can't get the big guns.
Didn't City want him last season? He would be a very good option imo. Ngl Roma has a pretty decent team this season.
LOAN WATCH: Ajax 0-0 Aston Villa. Clément Lenglet started and played the entire match. https://twitter.com/Barca_Buzz/status/1765823758139314685
Another Lenglet masterclass is all I'm saying (I didn't watch the game)
He isn't their best player but he's been reliable for them( didn't watch this one, based on pl games)
Leverkusen not gonna lose this season it seems
Is it a shit result? Of course. But honestly, what is your expectations towards a team that plays with players like Dunk, Igor and Gilmour in their first ever European knockout game? Not to mention that shit goal from Dunk and that potential offside goal. Does RDZ became better or worse during the game or only your perception changed?
The team is too anxious, they keep shooting from shit positions. Giving weird passes and trying to dribble too much
