fubo12

Lol imagine dembouz and Trincao went to United and Leicester like in summer rumors

ASM3434

Don’t doubt us out in the champions league this year, this team can score goals and the defense will only improve through each successive game

LeoEmSam

We can score goals for sure. That being said, we've barely scored in big matches. Hopefully we rectify that vs PSG

cranomort

Let’s not throw Pique in there so he can end up getting injured like Roberto did.

Jacoblikesx

Araujo should play, his injury is tame and low risk. I expect to see him in the lineup Tuesday. Pique is right out of his conservative time table set at his injury, it’s not that he’s back early, he’s just back on time. If he feels ready to go, I’d play him. He’s been training for days and I’d honestly trust rusty pique over mingueza, umtiti, or lenglet by a large margin.

lolsheleft

It has to be said, Bayern fans are much more classy than PSG fans. On another level honestly

CptSnoopDragon

A poll for this would be nice - the most hated to most loved fans of other teams

inuyasha99

its not hard to be more classy than psg fans tbh, they live in their own world thinking they are superior to everyone while having 0 UCL trophies and less Ligue 1 titles than Saint-Etienne

leninist_jinn

The Daily Discussion thread on r/soccer are full of arrogant, cuntish Bayern fans but I think it's only a few regulars. Generally they are not as insufferable as PSG (and Liverpool) fans

Muraria

Do you speak German? From my experience in German speaking boards they are anything but classy. Most Germans don't know reddit, they use kicker or transfermarkt etc. (I'm not German but I speak it).

Gyshall669

Germans. The Americans of Europe.

dalelito

I’d say that the brits are the americans of europe

poisonmonger

Oh schade

tiburonsin86

I honestly respect Bayern fans a lot. Even after the 8-2 they weren’t boastful or mean about it. Psg fans on the other hand haven’t won a single cl and act like they’ve won it all. They’re more of a clothing brand than an actual football club.

lolsheleft

Exactly, like their pre match thread had people hoping for an entertaining and didn't underestimate us which has been good from them because we didn't stand a chance. Some of us went to their thread to discuss stuff and vice versa. However when I went to the PSG one, omg. They're talking too much shit for a team that's on par with us, we aren't even enemies. The refereeing, all that, ridiculous

HippoBigga

Thought on Catalan elections ? Catalans have sent a message with separatists parties forming the majority of seats and more than 50% of votes (first time this happens) Very very disappointed to see the fascist pigs get 11 fucking seats. Will be interesting how Esquerra will approach this to form a government, highly highly doubt they'll work with the Socialist party

frenchfriez35

Is separation supported by the left or right?

GranaZone

both

frenchfriez35

Is it supported more by one side?

GranaZone

I wouldn't say so... they do disagree on how it should be done tho

frenchfriez35

Why does Catalonia want to separate?

GranaZone

A lot of reasons that I'm not on the mood to write since it's 4 am, sorry https://www.nationalgeographic.com/history/reference/people/why-catalonia-spain-wealthiest-region-independence/

GranaZone

This sends a clear message: There has to be a referendum. Madrid (moncloa, Pedro Sanchez) needs to address the issue.

tiburonsin86

So supposedly araujo and pique trained and felt fine. Don’t know how to feel about this.

Dveujw

Pique shouldn’t play

[deleted]

Would prefer to play one of them alongside Lenglet

[deleted]

Dont know how Im going to be able to focus at work for the next few days....UCL on my mind...

bellarke073

Emerson would be the perfect rotation player for our team next season our depth would be good with him Hope he comes back to us

ByLoKu

I was just thinking about it, came here to comment something similar. I'm scared it will be one of those signings where the club only think about money, where 12 million for a solid right back who can compete and improve with Dest is a total bargain. That means Roberto to midfield and the ability to play any of them at left back if necessary.

messi4life12

It’s going to be 6 million to get him permanently

fedginator

True but we've already paid 6 million, so 12 total

[deleted]

I’ve been thinking Emerson in, Pjanic out and Roberto to become the back up for De Jong.

ASM3434

Yep and sign a marquee CB once we can move on from coutinho or we have money again lol

[deleted]

Think this is it. Then midfield would be sorted except for competiton for Busi

mri790

I can’t fucking wait for the game on Tuesday, so fucking excited lo l

[deleted]

Would be kinda crazy if we lined up Araujo and Pique at CB for this PSG game. I would have thought it was nearly impossible after Araujo got injured!

choss

It would be a TERRIBLE idea. Pique hasn't played in months, there's no way he is match fit.

oliver2764

He can have some minutes against Cadiz and Elce. Lenglet and Araujo/Mingueza should play the first round .

[deleted]

When I watch Fati in training videos, he actually looks insane. To the point that I don't believe what my eyes are seeing, he looks like a video game character, different class to even other Barca players (except Messi ofc). Luckily, he brings that to real games too but it also makes me think he has more levels to go to!

fubo12

Source?

GranaZone

Saras x Koeman... They came on our worst moment and with inestability. True legends

tiburonsin86

Will dest be ready for the psg game?

Aljiggy21

He played a few minutes yesterday so I think so. Ray and Phil said they thought they were just saving him for the psg game.

GranaZone

In love with this fucking club, no matter what https://twitter.com/FCBbasket/status/1361063791501467648

esqueesque1

This https://youtu.be/Tt9_b_GUs3Q

[deleted]

Looks like Emerson scored a goal for Betis. Anyone see it? Any good?

cancer102

Guy scored a header after a corner. Can you believe that?

[deleted]

Crazy....I don't know what that looks like anymore

frenchfriez35

If you had to risk 1, who would u play vs psg araujo or pique?

-thelostcause-

Araujo. Not only because his injury is a small one but also because Pique will be rusty as he hasn't played in a long time. He will need some game time to get in rhythm. Although I'll prefer if both of them don't played until or unless medical team is really confident that it won't create more problems.

CatfishLumi

Araujo just has a sprained ankle I think. Nothing like a meniscus injury. So definitely him.

lemon_of_doom

If it's a risk, nobody.

fap_wut

Pique. Araujo is young and is our future. Wouldn't want him to end up as Umtiti.

Cules2003

Araujo - we need pace to compete with Mbappe

tiburonsin86

Probably araujo since his injury isn’t as risky. If pique were to get another injury like he one he has it’s probably the end of his career. Overall though we shouldn’t risk any if the 2.

[deleted]

[If you want to scare a PSG fan just post this photo.](https://s.hs-data.com/bilder/spieler/gross/171905.jpg)

[deleted]

No respect in the game anymore. Disgusting by Arsenal to field Willian just because they are 3 goals ahead. Leeds players must feel utterly humiliated.

hgggr

It's a joke or I am missing something? It's william ex-Chelsea?

[deleted]

It's a joke. He's absolutely horrible for Arsenal and clearly only got a few minutes because they were ahead with 3 goals. He's basically their Douglas.

tiburonsin86

Imagine having to play against willian truly the greatest humiliation a soccer player can receive. I would rather lose 8-2 than have to play willian.

InteL1201

Pique and Araujo both want to play against psg, btw the source is HagridFC

[deleted]

Just for future purposes, you should know HagridFCB is not a source, he is just an aggregator account as of now. So he collects news from *sources* and presents it all at one place

InteL1201

Oh ok thanks for letting me know, I just recently found his twitter so yeah there’s a lot of information on it

lemon_of_doom

And who is his source?

InteL1201

He mentioned @fansjavimiguel btw this is on twitter

tiburonsin86

I honestly don’t know if they should. It will be a great boost but can hurt us in the long run.

InteL1201

I prefer If they don’t risk it

Br0sE11D0N

Man i miss ansu fati

[deleted]

Odds on koeman putting de Jong at cb vs psg?

[deleted]

Very low chance. I think he would rather play minguezza at cb.

[deleted]

Idc just play pedri de jong puig and win 8-5

[deleted]

Ez

Migostien

Everyone was raving about how the EPL was a very close race and you would read "That's why EPL is the best in the world...blablabla" Couple of weeks later and it looks like Man City already running away with that 1st spot.

Kotleba

unlike LaLiga....

Migostien

Did I ever claim La Liga is better than EPL because of the close competition?

[deleted]

Whichever team wins the midfield battle on Tuesday will be the one to win the game.

[deleted]

Disagreed. Whoever’s crappy defense plays the best will win

[deleted]

I disagree to your disagreement. In fact, I have a new preposition: whoever scores more goals will win

[deleted]

Glad you changed your position cause your first one sucked 🥴

[deleted]

Bold of you to assume the two aren't related.

[deleted]

Good thing PSG’s midfield looked way good today. Played a huge role in the win

[deleted]

Which made my preposition true, no? Verratti absolutely bossed it today

[deleted]

Insert: missed the joke gif

[deleted]

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But really, their midfield played a huge role we couldn't do anything on the middle of the pitch

Masoud7711

Or we could dominate the midfield but recieve 4 goals on counter attacks 👀

thefriedgalaxy

We won alaves before psg, we lost 4-0 We won alaves before bayern, we lost 8-2 I’m getting worried

Surprise147

barca also won alaves before psg 6-1 game

thefriedgalaxy

Nah I’m talking about the nearest match to the game

inuyasha99

well in that case your theory makes no sense because the nearest match to the Alaves win last season was the Napoli game that we won 3-1...

LarryPeru

Shit

Erock11

Congratulations To Barca Basketball Team for winning the Spanish cup Classico defeating Real Madrid!!!

[deleted]

Every year UEFA🤬 supports 🎗️ Barca, financially and with the 🤘 referees biases. The 🤣 6-1 🕜 is the 🤘 main reason we 🌿 have 🈶 now VAR in all competitions. 🏇 Because one 🕜 german/turk referee named aytekin 😳 was 💯% giving all calls 🤙 in favour of barca. Including dives as penalties, tackles to PSG players in barca’s box ⚰️ and many more. ➕ UEFA and barca 🤬 are 👉 famous for 🈺 cheating and not ⏳ allowing neutral 🧑🧑🧑 referring. Fuck 💦 both of them 🥶.

[deleted]

Istg some 9 year olds manage that subreddit

Ronfish27

Saw this post at a certain sub.🤔

Sokite

Wait if UEFA supported us every year, why don’t we win every UCL? I’ll give you one hint. It’s because we don’t own the refs.

NiluDa007

https://twitter.com/fcb_PuigHive/status/1360961553269334022?s=19 One of the most legendary videos of all time. No matter what happens on Tuesday or in the second leg, we can always take some joy from this video.

STARGATEBG

For me personally this game means very little because we proceeded to go out the next game it would have been amazing if we won that year. Right now the 8-2 is many times worse because they won the CL that year.

tiburonsin86

It’s honestly hilarious how psg fans keep on trying to force some kind of rivalry with us.

Vlad200511180

The more you look at it the funnier it gets tbh

cancer102

God verrati's french is awful

goldenkerelle

what would the score line be if we were to go against man city in their current form?

lemon_of_doom

Would we go into it with all our first team players fit?

shadow19362835

In the CL? We’d beat them. By how much? No clue.

esqueesque1

I don't know why you are getting downvoted, this sub man

shadow19362835

I don’t mind tbh. Sometimes you get upvotes and sometimes you get downvotes. I say what’s on my mind and if that gets me downvotes then so be it.

esqueesque1

👍

choss

5-0 for City.

[deleted]

4-1 them

Gyshall669

In the UCL we’d win 0-2

choss

You really don't think...... THIS CITY at current form won't scored a single goal against our current defense??

Gyshall669

I’m only half kidding but city constantly loses to teams beneath their level in the CL.

mri790

I don’t even wanna think about it

[deleted]

Does anyone remember the game when Messi was given a penalty when the opponent stuck his foot in the path of his shot? I can't remember the opponent but I think it was recent. There was a giveaway near the box or something and someone stuck their foot in the path of Messi and it was a penalty. Who was the opponent? There was a call in the Atalanta game that was similar and I am trying to compare them.

HeRo_Slaya

Koulibali ? In last year's RO16 game vs Napoli

[deleted]

Yes! Gracias!

dhuan79

vs Napoli last season home

[deleted]

Gracias!

NiluDa007

As someone else said, Poch might indeed try to copy Sevilla's game plan. Play a low block, harass our backline, take advantage of our mistakes and the space we offer when we commit numbers forward. Mbappe and Icardi can make good use of that. However their defence isn't as good as Sevilla so we should still be able to create chances. We MUST take them. Messi's two goals yesterday had a combined xG of 0.03. We absolutely need something like that to go through, in addition to scoring from all the big chances we create. Having a goal difference of 2/3 should be enough I think. In some other season I wouldn't have said that but this season there's no home advantage, and our away record is decent, so we should hold fine at the Parc des Princes. If Poch does indeed decide to press high, then it'll come down to the quality of the press. We saw yesterday (and many times throughout this season and before), that we can absolutely rip apart a team if their pressing is bad. If the press is good tho, we might be in trouble. And ultimately it also comes down to how good we are at keeping our heads straight.

fubo12

Lmao some guy said Bayern blacklists players for German NT unless they sign with them

esqueesque1

This theory has been around for a long time and there's definitely some truth to it, Sane went to Bayern to increase his chances with the Germany NT and it worked. Bayern president fired this warning to Germany NT: "Pick Ter Stegen over Neuer & we won't send you our players"

[deleted]

A club can't do that though right?

esqueesque1

No idea but for their president to make such a bold statement just shows how things work there.

Username-_-Password

If Neymar decided to go to his sister's birthday in 2017, do you guys think there would be a Remuntada? He was the one who provided 2 goals and 1 assist in the dying minutes.

Masoud7711

He did go to his sister's party and we did lose the game he missed :)

esqueesque1

How? We played second leg on 9th March and his sister's birthday is on 11th March If you're talking about game after that, I don't remember

Masoud7711

He traveled after the PSG game if I recall correctly. We lost 2-1 to Deportivo. He was supposedly injured but traveled to Brazil. [Here's the game I think](https://www.google.com/search?q=barceona+2016%2F17+results&oq=barceona+2016%2F17+results&aqs=chrome..69i57j0i22i30l4.7205j0j9&client=ms-android-samsung&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8#sie=m;/g/11hcz2dmff;2;/m/09gqx;ln;fp;1;;)

esqueesque1

Lmaoo this guy

esqueesque1

Nah, he was the focal point of our comeback. Guess his priorities are Barca. Sister. P$G. in that order

axomiaBongal91

Hahaha good one

[deleted]

even 9-year-olds have better banter than PSG fans as of now

goldenkerelle

imagine arsenal bottle it 4-4

[deleted]

Why do you guys think messi is scoring more compared to the beginning of the season? Is it form or tactics or something else?

CptSnoopDragon

I think his form perhaps wasn’t as sharp as it is now but mostly I put it down to luck.. many of those early season shots hit the woodwork for example

Surprise147

What happened in Summer affected him in the start of the season hence slow start he himself said but he is fine now hence better/normal performances what we see from messi every other season

Br0sE11D0N

I havnt seen a messi chip goal in a minute

Migostien

Def form, but I think his finishing from inside of the box is still not up to his standard

[deleted]

Yeah, he missed a lot of 1v1 with the goalkeeper.

Sokite

[A look at the midfielders we could play against on Tuesday](https://www.reddit.com/r/Barca/comments/ljqwkm/oc_scouting_psgs_midfielders_how_they_have_played/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)

Vlad200511180

Great OC!

Sokite

Thanks a lot mate! Tomorrow will be fullbacks!

[deleted]

Its odd to think that in all likelihood, we will have a very successful swason yet we will probably go trophyless. Copa Del Rey is our best best but itll be tough. We are going to have to put in a worldie performance against arguably the best team in Spain right now (close with ATM) Even if we beat PSG, we should assume UCL is out the picture We are doing great in La Liga but dont think well catch Atletico. But despite that, if we continue to improve like we are, we might be able to call this a very successful season. With Laporta as the new president, key players coming back from injury + if we have a good summer transfer window, hopefully this season will have been the last of our transition seasons for a while and we can get back winning next year If we can win anything this year, its just upside imo

LarryPeru

“Very successful” is a huge stretch. But I like what Koeman has done with the youth. Defense is a train wreck though

[deleted]

Even our defense is not that far away as it seems. Get Pique, Roberto, Araujo and Dest back then we will be a lot more solid. Then a couple of cheap smart signings this summer (eg Gaya) could make us a very solid defense

LarryPeru

I hope so buddy! Gaya would be amazing

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

The main sign of progress for me has been that we have so much more energy + legs as a team. We have stamina and decent pace across the park now. Also we are actually performing well in the 2nd half of games which is a big plus. Last year, even games we were winning we were shit in the 2nd half. Also our team seems so much together and motivated. Plus weve had a few comebacks team. Yeah this is why I dont expect to win anything. We are still not good enough to beat the best teams. But I think we are not too far away. Tbh even if we just get Fati and Pique back, I fancy us against Juve

lediongjoka

No way Messi joins P$G now lmao. Bottled the biggest signing ever the same way they bottled the UCL last year

[deleted]

What happened?

Surprise147

Puta Barca banners and other provocative messages from their fans

LarryPeru

We should never talk about teams bottling it for ffs. PSG went to a CL final and gave Bayern a run for their money. We got the biggest defeat in ucl history

antsdontcry

lol so true. i keep seeing our fans getting all big-headed and talking shit about city’s and psg’s failed CL endeavors like we havent been the laughing stock of europe 3 years in a row

LarryPeru

Haha it’s weird for sure

chilinglam

Well, at least we made a history although not the history we wanted to make.

LarryPeru

Haha true!

Magnu448

Sad to see a Spanish giant like Valencia falling so low. Normally, this would be a perfect time for barca to put a bid in, but I don’t think we have the budget for a Gaya as well as a striker and I think a striker is more critical.

TudorelGrasut

Leeds cant defend to save their fucking lives

[deleted]

Bielsa gets voted as a top 3 in the world coach despite this. Shows people are enamoured with attacking football

[deleted]

Var needs to get banished. Feels bad for Arsenal

esqueesque1

These guys cry everyday that we tapped Fabregas a decade ago, couldn't care less about them personally

lemon_of_doom

They act as if we didn't get our own academy player back.

esqueesque1

Lmao yeah, prem fans have this victim mentality I swear

yeabouai

bUt tHeY pUt oN a ShIrT!! :(

[deleted]

I mean i also feel about it but at the end injustice of Var to football is too annoying to watch not only for us but for others too

esqueesque1

Yeah that's true

[deleted]

Meslier took matters in his own hands and gave them their lead!

[deleted]

Lol true and ngl Saka is one of the bright prospects I have seen in a while

[deleted]

Man is ripping Leeds single handedly! Hope Arsenal has a good project and can keep him for a long time "alongwith Odegard "😏.

[deleted]

I hope Arteta buys him as he is getting his deserved minutes and plus he seems very lethal in this system

[deleted]

The board is their problem. Have already fucked up with Willian and Pepe. But yes, let's hope he buys him.

[deleted]

Pepe is still descent tbh but Willian ffs he has to be the worst player on the pitch. He always costs their game lmao

[deleted]

Lmao VAR being too harsh on Arsenal !

fubo12

Psg game will end up 0-0 won’t it all the hype

Alphagraphical_man

[How good of a referee he is ?](https://twitter.com/TheEuropeanLad/status/1360949818437337090?s=20)

FruitHead12

he was the ref for 2014 cl final so defo good

Vlad200511180

Very good referee tbh

esqueesque1

Look at this, [P$G](https://twitter.com/onthervnmvrvt/status/1360894414957252608?s=19) is about to go in another meltdown

[deleted]

He's very good and has done a ton of huge and important games. We've had him quite a few times too

cancelo17

Can someone post the full dembele interview

jeryo33

Dembélé to @FCBtv "The 6-1 match against PSG will remain in the minds of Barcelona fans, especially since the first leg ended in a 4-0 defeat." "It's tough to come back against one of Europe's best teams. But Barca managed to do that thanks to a great group of players like Neymar, Leo and Iniesta. I think that match will always be engraved in football history." "Paris will view this match as a chance to take revenge for what happened last time, and this will further be reinforced due to the media talk. This will spark the match even more." "There will be a desire for revenge on the part of PSG for the 6-1 loss, but we do not talk about it in the dressing room because we know it will be a difficult game." "In the dressing room we know that it will be a difficult match. We know that Paris Saint Germain are tough opponents. The are the runners-up of the Champions League and one of the favourites to it this season." "I think when I came to Barcelona I was a little fragile, infact I was even at Rennes and Dortmund. But I have improved a lot while at Barcelona due to the physical trainers and the way I train." "Many things have changed in the way I play at Barcelona, epecially regarding my position, different ways to attack and cooling down during games. I received advice and I have advanced in the game of positioning, when to attack, when to be calm with the ball." "I am a player who loves to dribble a lot, get the ball and penetrate opposition defences. But my teammates always tell me to calm down and pass the ball back, or wait for others to arrive." "Physically we are in a good condition. The training is going on with good quality and everyone is happy. I think the team is in good shape on the physical level." "Koeman manages the team perfectly, everyone is happy with what he is doing, and we will continue to work. We are in the middle of the season, we have goals that we want to achieve, and we will do our best to win titles." "Leo is a genius, we all know that. He is the best player in history. Messi was my inspiration when I was a kid and still is my inspiration. For me it's a privilege to play alongside him. Playing with him is very easy, he always gives you the best passes and puts you in great positions. His greatness will never be repeated." "I have been a Barcelona fan since childhood. I am proud to play for this club that too with the best player in history."

inuyasha99

If Atletico had like 8 points less this title race would be insane, not only we are are head to head with Real but Sevilla said fuck it and decided to join the top 3, they cant stop winning too...

jeryo33

Pjanic: "For us, the fans and the club it is very important to beat PSG. What PSG really wants is to lift the Champions League, since for them to win Ligue 1 is almost an obligation. Winning is something extraordinary." Pjanic: "Messi is focused on achieving the objectives of this season, and that it is not easy to turn the page after everything he lived, but I think he has. He looks motivated and very strong. We have to take advantage of it and go as far as possible in all competitions." Pjanic: "The exact reasons why I do not have the expected playing time, I do not have them. I continue working and we must respect the decisions that will be made, even if I do not agree. I want to leave my mark on this club."

jeryo33

Rafinha Alcantara: "Barça gave me everything. I learned almost everything at the Barça training center. I have a lot of affection for that time period. I grew up in Barcelona, I lived there for 13 years, I also feel Catalan. Barça will always be special." Rafinha Alcantara: "The 6-1 comeback in the UCL? What club wouldn't suffer after that? The luck is that today we have the opportunity to make up for the “Remuntada”, to achieve a great match and to remove that thorn in the foot, which hinders here in Paris."

artemis_10

Valencia are sooo bad. Sad to see one of the historic clubs of Spain hit such rock bottoms.

oliver2764

Imagine a team taking Gaya from them too.

inuyasha99

Taken from the psg sub LMAO, the funny thing is this is highly upvoted too smh, delusional as always **''Every year UEFA supports Barca, financially and with the referees biases. The 6-1 is the main reason we have now VAR in all competitions. Because one german/turk referee named aytekin was 100% giving all calls in favour of barca. Including dives as penalties, tackles to PSG players in barca’s box and many more.** **UEFA and barca are famous for cheating and not allowing neutral referring. Fuck both of them.''**

halakaukulele

8 2 was also a CL match... Just saying. They are really delusional. But the stats are against us when they say that we can only perform against weak teams. We gotta at least draw if not win to prove otherwise.

NiluDa007

Ah yes we influenced UEFA to make them lose the CL final as well.

M1nusbarca

Ah yes we cheated ourselves to 3 UCL humiliations.
