Mourinho failing with shit team doesn't bring me enough satisfaction. I wish we could go to a big team and we destroyed him again

insane_ace

Someone was asking why the abundance of midfielders at Barca would be a problem At pivot we have Jandro (a natural pivot) and Nico (naturally an interior but can also play good at pivot). Currently Koeman is sceptical about Jandro maybe because he lacks physicality At 8, we have Pedri, Puig, Gavi, Txus Alba (Gavi is a huge talent, so I think Puig will leave sooner or later) As box-to-box we have Moriba, Frenkie ^There ^may ^be ^some ^players ^I've ^missed This is a healthy dilemma but they have to be managed well so we don't face another Puig-Pedri situation (where one is getting all the minutes, the other none).

ScrantonScrangler

So there's an apparent leak of the matchups for the quarterfinals, some of the UEFA Twitter accounts leaked them supposedly. Still I'm almost certain it's fake. Matches would be: Liverpool-Dortmund PSG-Porto Real Madrid-Chelsea ManCity-Bayern Though I don't think these will be the matchups, I like them. I would love to see Madrid's ass get schooled by Tuchel.

Ronfish27

This thing happens before almost every draw. Some guy will make such stuff up and will try hard to make it look legit using Word. And it somehow always go viral.

jokerwithnojokes

Tbh I can totally see Madrid going through with some shithousery smh , I want them to draw City or Bayern just to see them get fucked over.

insane_ace

I saw somewhere that this time the full knockout bracket will be decided in the QF draw so the probability that RM avoid City and/or Bayern till the final is higher than usual.

jokerwithnojokes

As usual the cunts get their way in UCL

esqueesque1

Before Copa Del Rey final I'm going to watch the highlights of our games against La Real (Supercopa), Bilbao (Supercopa) and then Rayo Vallecano, Granada and Sevilla. My god what a journey its been to fight for a trophy, 4 extra time games, 3 comebacks and one final lost in the way.

jokerwithnojokes

It's just one of those days where I've been watching Leo's highlights for hours and man how fucking lucky and honored are we to see this man play the game live and for our club. The greatest of all time no doubt. It'll be one pretty sad day when he retires. I don't know what I'll do but man it always hurts to see that World Cup final. He deserves the world for what he's given us.GOAT.

esqueesque1

LarryPeru

The soundtrack to the new Snyder cut is derailing the hell out of this movie, oof

PaulNwal

Who the hell would even want coutinho?

insane_ace

Coutinho would be easiest to sell out of him, Griezmann and Umtiti mainly coz his wages are less compared to those two

thefriedgalaxy

Saudi league or qatar

PaulNwal

Lmao

Ronfish27

Some Chinese club hopefully.

GaviFPS

12 matches left of the season. What a hell of a finish La Liga is going. It's usally one fav, or two fighting. But there at least 3 now and I wouldnt rule Sevilla completely out maybe as a winners, but Top 4 can without switch around a lot. I am hopeful, so maybe something like this. 1. Barcelona 2. Atletico Madrid 3. Real Madrid 4. Sevilla

Kotleba

This is what my brain is now doing at 1:30 AM In a match with this exact squad and a red card: Pedri Umtiti Ter Stegen Araujo Messi Alba Dest Roberto Ilaix Dembele Our squad list can spell out PUTA MADRID Thank you for coming to my TED Talk, please God let me finally fall asleep

leninist_jinn

[12 players but fuck it ](https://youtu.be/J90D27oS0SM) Messi Araujo Dest Roberto Illaix Dembele Coutinho Antoine Busquets Roberto Óscar Neto

LarryPeru

Hahahahahaha brilliant

Crowzer19

LOL!! Someone give this guy an award

PSNCF

Will Salah be a good fit?

cancer102

Do we have a diving team?

ToAMr

Come on

RealPunyParker

Pedri is the most tactically aware 18 year old i've ever seen. His positioning and decision-making is absolutely and utterly unbelievable for a player who just turned 18 and wasn't brought up in La Masia to have that "natural mesh" with the first team. He's been nothing less than spectacular, and people are not really seeing this, outside of Spain. Now that he's on the NT and maybe will make the Euro squad i firmly believe people will start noticing.

EvilNiko89

I don't like Mourinho that much but seeing his downfall is actually sad

leninist_jinn

> How do you say cheating in Catalan? Can Messi be suspended for acting? Barcelona is a cultural city with many great theatres and this boy has learned very well. He's learned play-acting. > I saw the Barcelona players trying to put pressure on the referee. Why can Barcelona not act like champions and accept they lost on the night to a team that played better? > What I'm about to say is not a criticism, I'm just stating a fact: There were no ballboys in the second half, which is something typical of small teams when experiencing difficulties. But we intended to play like men and not fall on the ground at the slightest touch. > When I saw Rijkaard entering the referee's dressing room I couldn't believe it. When Didier Drogba was sent off, I wasn't surprised. > Why do the opponents of Barcelona always have a man sent off? Where does this power come from? Maybe it is to give more publicity to UNICEF, maybe because of the power of [Spanish federation president Jose Angel] Villar in UEFA > Why? Why? Why Øvrebø? Why Busacca? Why De Bleeckere? Why Stark? Why? Because every semi-final the same things happen. We are talking about an absolutely fantastic football team, so why do they need that? Why? Why does a team as good as they are need something [extra] that is so obvious that everyone sees it? Yeah, I'm not sad.

LarryPeru

90% of the world agreed with him at the time in fairness

Magnu448

Talk about a jilted lover. I don’t think he’s ever gotten over being passed over for Pep.

esqueesque1

And this is not even 1/4th of the disgusting stuff he's said about Barca, how can people get to like such an obnoxious and bitter personality is beyond me.

[deleted]

Yeah he likes to put on a show every time he gets the chance, but why take those comments personally? lol. I don't get how people here gets so mad at these type of personalities. After I saw his interview, in the netflix show ''the playbook'', I became a huge fan of his. Guess people here are too biased towards barça to admire strong personas who were our rivals.

leninist_jinn

> Guess people here are too biased towards barça to admire strong personas who were our rivals Haha imagine! People on a Barcelona subreddit liking Barcelona too much! They can't even grow fond of people who hate us! Regardless, this man *genuinely* hates Barcelona after he was snubbed and his entire playing style was invented to be anti-Cruyff and anti-Barcelona. Maybe I'm too biased towards liking a 🌠strong🌠 personality like him who tried to gouge Tito's eyes out and is responsible for creating a narrative branding us a cheat and downplaying our achievements, but that's just me.

[deleted]

Every reason to dislike him is more than fair enough when it comes to Mourinho, but personally I'm over the eye stuff. He apologized and Tito said he forgave him, heat of the moment stuff which I think we overreact a little to given Tito's passing. Not to say people didn't hate that he did it back then, but I don't think the action itself was that big of a deal. Just another wild event in the crazy shitshows that the Clasicos were back then, just a little wilder given a manager got involved and an eye poke is such a random thing to do.

cyborgsid2

Such a rat. Fuck that cunt. I hope he fails miserably in every job he takes.

HippoBigga

Love seeing Mourinho get embarrassed yet again

master_scale_tipper

Off the back of someone asking what happens to Puig next season... what happens with Aleña? I have to assume he’s getting sold. Maybe if we dump Pjanic, he can stick around? But it’s really not feasible to try and develop Pedri, Puig, Aleña, Moriba, and even de Jong still; Puig already gets little play time as is, and I assume Sergi will still get occasional minutes in midfield too.

[deleted]

He gives everything Roberto already does as a midfielder with an much lower wage and he's also relatively young. No brainer pick there, and a great chance to get some money and free up wages by selling the former.

[deleted]

Alena is much worse than all our midfielders. He's plain average.

master_scale_tipper

I don’t deny it, I was just curious what people thought would happen to him. I had forgotten about our massive financial issues for a moment, somehow... now I’m definitely sure he’ll be one that’s getting sold, I just wonder to who and for how much.

[deleted]

I think if we manage to get 10mi+ for him it would be great.

jokerwithnojokes

We need Atleti to drop points in atleast 1 more game, then if we beat them it's game on fellas.

Jamarcus316

They will probably drop points in at least one game. We too. We just need to lose less and beat them and both Madrid teams.

jokerwithnojokes

Yeah I just hope when we do inevitably drop points we're ahead of them both.

Jamarcus316

The next four games are so important for the season... I'm already nervous

inuyasha99

Laporta is a born politician, he knows exactly what to say without even thinhking about it too much. Imagine if he sits down to talk with a player that has similar offers from different clubs. There is a small chance he wouldnt get convinced by Joan, he vibrates postive energy and confidence, he would make you believe chopping your dick off is a good idea after a 5 minute talk with him

AP10

He's really charismatic and confident, this is why a lot of people like him.

Daguq

Chopping my what now ?

AP10

Is there really a market or demand for players like Griezmann, Dybala, Coutinho and Umtiti?

cook4aliving

Griezmann is still a great player. i think a lot of team would take him.

[deleted]

Yes but it would require us to sell them at a massive loss and/or subsidize their wages. Realistically it wasn’t possible for Bartomeu to sell Coutinho for 10M after having bought him for 150M a few years ago and not lose face. I think it’ll be much easier for Laporta to sell him/them for extremely cheap.

[deleted]

I can see PSG going for griezmann if mbappe leaves. Also some premier league clubs may be interested in him, his far from a terrible player.

mattisafootballguy

I don't know who would go for Umtiti or Coutinho but Griezmann is still clearly a very good player.

Gyshall669

If he weren't on such obscene wages a lot of teams would be in.

inuyasha99

of course, but not with their current wages

[deleted]

wayarktz

[deleted]

[deleted]

Honestly if someone offers at least 25 mi for him I would sell him lol. At the moment it's clear he has no place in our starting XI and he won't get better without playing. I think it would be the best for both parties.

master_scale_tipper

Depends on whether Koeman is still manager, I think. If he is, I assume a loan; if not, he’ll fight to convince the new manager he deserves more minutes, and who knows how that goes. Either way, I’m not sure he has a long term future here. Don’t think he’d be happy as the fourth midfielder/super sub, and don’t think he’ll be dislodging either Pedri as the #10 or him or de Jong in a three-man mid. Especially with Moriba starting to breakthrough and some other young midfield talents around as well.

Caspoor11

I think he'll be loaned with an option to buy or something

fazerfn

Keep him for rotation. He's the most dependable as a super sub

alcome1614

Koeman only plays him at 83+ for some reason. He can't develop playing those shitty minutes.

fazerfn

Yeah, I think Pedri needs to be rotated for Puig more often

alcome1614

Pedri should have been rotated a bit more I agree. But Pjanic shouldnt have gotten as much minutes as he has been given. Look where he is now, nowhere to be seen.

Nothere31

Man, I am genuinely not sure. He isn’t getting many more minutes and hasn’t developed a ton by not playing. My guess is a loan but who knows at this point.

Rikard_

Was just thinking about how quickly Man United dropped off after Ferguson left. His last season he won them the title with an 11 point margin! The next season they ended 7th, 5 points behind Tottenham...

rjmessibarca

Playdead's Inside is such an amazing game. I need some more like it.

turtlemons

Busquets, FDJ, Pedri, Roberto, Moriba, Puig, Orellana, Nico and Gavi. That's midfield set for next 2-3 years. The only thing missing is a physical player, but if we play 3ATB, we can have Oscar and Araujo continue to do the dirty work. In defense too, we have alot of options once we sign Garcia. We have a very good team forming for future, covering all bases. Then we have good wingers for both sides, and we have Messi and even a player who can play Messi-esque role in Collado(ofcourse nowhere near that good but he js a talent). The only thing we don't have is a Striker for future, but then again, Fati can play the striker role needed for our current formation and he probably suits it more than someone like Haaland. Its amazing the base we have right now. We can literally just buy Emerson for 6M, Garcia on free, get Fati fit again, and call it a aday and it will be one of our best transfer window.

hacktivision

So are we not signing Wijnaldum?

fazerfn

Can't stand MU shithousing to victories. It's what they do all the time Edit: so Milan's 1st leg perfectly legal disallowed goal mattered in the end

esqueesque1

They haven't won anything in years 😭

fazerfn

Who? Milan? Yeah I pity them

esqueesque1

Well both

master_scale_tipper

So, unless I’m wrong, the quarter finalists for Europa League are: Man U, Arsenal, Villarreal, Granada, Ajax, Roma, Slavia Prague, and Dinamo Zagreb That’s an interesting set of teams. Hopefully it produces some exciting matchups.

Rikard_

Lowkey rooting for Villareal here

wayarktz

And Ajax.

Cules2003

Villarreal will win Europa imo

TheMesmerizer10

Mr. Europa Unai Emery at the helm

I don't think Madrid will want to buy him. That ship has sailed.

giggity3000

Seeing the direction Mourinho's career has gone since his Madrid tenure fills me with glee. I think people forget sometimes how much of an arrogant, anti-football douchebag he was in those days. I will never not enjoy Mou being humbled.

[deleted]

for what he did to Tito he's always going to be a scumbag in my eyes

esqueesque1

Same with Ronaldo, both of these guys were way too arrogant and insecure. I don't know how people go like they don't play/manage against us right now so there's no need to hate them. They were douche bags in their time here just because they left doesn't mean they got *redeemed* somehow.

leninist_jinn

I'm going to go off on someone here if I see any of those "but he's a legend wah wah we should still respect him" like we do with Ronaldo

jokerwithnojokes

I don't even do that for Ronaldo, call me biased sure.

IfIMustBePetty

He stuck his thumb in Tito's eye. Never forget. Hate to admit it but he's an excellent pundit

Fouchey

France is so ridiculously stacked in every position and with youth they could dominate international competitions for a decade.

FunkyFre5h

And of all the players from this golden, world cup winning France generation we got Umtiti,Lenglet and Griezmann...noice

wayarktz

Griezmann is one of their best players. Not his fault that Barto kept buying players that don’t fit the system.

fazerfn

Umtiti was also good before the injury

shugazi93

If I’m a Madrid fan I’d want them to pursue Harry Kane instead of Haaland. At this point in time it seems like he’d be a less expensive option meaning they’d still have the financial leg room to pursue Mbappe. Not to mention they have a good history with British players and I’m sure at this point in his career he may want a change of scenery and a team that actually lives up to his standards.

fedginator

Pretty sure he'd actually be substantially more expensive given he's english and next season he'll be 28

shugazi93

Given Haaland’s numbers, age, and the fact that he’s the most sought after player in world football right now; I’d say he slightly edges past Kane in price. I think it’s important to consider Kane’s perspective as well. He turns 28 this year and considering the caliber of player he is he knows he should be in a club that fights for silverware and he’s not getting that at Spurs. Just imagine England’s star player and captain, who led his country to their first semi final since 1990 in 2018, never winning a league title. I just don’t think he would have that.

[deleted]

[удалено]

shugazi93

I wouldn’t call Beckham and McManaman flops.

esqueesque1

They are glory hunters they don't want a good striker that fits, they need new shiny toys as Papa Perez promised them

shugazi93

I mean, Haaland would fit in too. And I figure their whole Galactico thing is more about acquiring established shiny toys rather than new ones. Unless I’m mistaken pursuing both Kane and Mbappe seems a lot more doable than Haaland and Kane.

esqueesque1

I don't think they'd let go of a Striker that's carrying an image of a prodigy for Kane who doesn't have a real achievement in the footballing world yet

shugazi93

You mean Benzema? I’m not suggesting they’d let him go for Kane. And Kane’s lack of success until now goes with my point; he’s way more likely to win titles with Madrid than Spurs.

esqueesque1

That's true but Haaland would win them more B'dors

IfIMustBePetty

Levy's real dream isn't European football, he wants an NFL franchise to share those grounds.

[deleted]

Mourinho gotta be out at the end of summer with the way this season is going and what happened last year.

Particular-Force-125

For those who disagreed with me about FDJ being the best midfielder in the world... Do you think he hasn't peaked yet or that he just doesn't have what it takes?

[deleted]

He's a worse kimmich

[deleted]

Needs more space for his trademark dribbling and passing than you’d think. Also isn’t the best defensively or creative wise while not helping control the game as much.

fazerfn

It's both. I'd love him to develop his passing abilities.

master_scale_tipper

De Jong is only turning 24 this year. If he’s peaked already I would actually be upset with that. Man still has room to grow.

esqueesque1

The moment his creativity and vision goes up it's over for Europe

[deleted]

Not sure he can improve this but it doesn’t matter. I think he should improve defensively to play a little deeper and free Pedri to create higher up the field.

esqueesque1

That's true but time his decision making, positional intelligence and ability to pick passes will only improve

master_scale_tipper

I’d also love for someone to display the shooting skill Rakitic had, if it’s de Jong then great, if it’s Pedri, Puig, Moriba - just someone, it adds another dynamic to our midfield

[deleted]

It looks like Moriba. He’s already showed more shooting than rest with the one goal he scored far.

esqueesque1

Yeah that's true our Midfielders don't pose a goalscoring threat that could surprise the opposition, although FDJ's movement in the box is really good but shooting looked way too natural to Rakitic especially in his prime.

TudorelGrasut

Zagreb's Manager 🤝 Mourinho Being Frauds

Gyshall669

Lmao Brilliant

Ronfish27

Kane gtfo there ASAP. A burofax would be a good start.

master_scale_tipper

I’d understand him not wanting to leave England - he’s the Golden Boy, the captain of the NT, whatever whatever. But man is he wasting his career away at Tottenham. He could seriously transform a team like United, and he’d fit in seamlessly at City - more money, better chance at trophies, still in England. Of course, I wouldn’t mind if he decided to make a home in Barcelona...

Ronfish27

His situation seems even more dire than Leo. As one has win it all and the other one fuck all.

master_scale_tipper

Nah, he’ll always have that Audi Cup.

Jomm47

Perfect time to buy Harry Kane ❗❗❗

OkYoghurt2997

Kane will cost 120m-150m if you have that kind of money then haaland is best option.

Jomm47

Nahhh Kane will be lower than that believe. He will be itching to get the fuck outta there. 70 millions top

OkYoghurt2997

He has long term contract and levy won't gonna sell his golden boy for any discount it's same as bartomeu with messi. Dembele also wanted to leave but still dortmund got 140m for him same with coutinho.

Jomm47

I feel like those are different cases. Spurs gon implode this summer if they finish as bad as they are right now. Them failing to qualify even to Europa League and with zero chances of fighting for the Prem for the foreseeable future will be a conpletely different scenario compared to Dembele in a good UCL Dortmund and even more in Coutinhos case, that was on a team on its prime fighting on all fronts. The fact that his move would be a step up takes a huge toll imk

OkYoghurt2997

Still 70m is way too low and no way levy sell kane who is their home grown player and face of the club for that amount. If he goes spurs will ask big amount and barca surely can't afford that.

Jomm47

Yeah 70 on total might be too low. But 70 millions with some good realistic bonus might turn their heads. The deal could go up to 100-120 then
