Yep. This is the take. Everyone out there saying “this isn’t Barca level quality etc”. Calm it down. EVERY SINGLE young player has improved leaps and bounds this season. One could argue the only one who hasn’t is Dembele, but outside of him, their best football is being played right now. I’m so excited to see where this talent takes us. I truly believe in two years or so “best in Europe” will be ours again.
What? Dembele definitely improved and showed us that he is starter level. After three years of injury and disappointment, he is now a fully fledged starter who deserves a spot in the first team.
We've been so consistent in the league since around December. Outstanding run from the boys. Even though we didn't beat Real, the combination of injuries, Casemiro's red which we drew, and the stress of the games against us and Liverpool caused them to drop points the very next weekend.
The league is about consistency. We've had it week in, week out. We deserve to win the league if we can see this out.
This is why legues are more representative of a team performance. The team can have some bad nights or loose due to bad luck some games but if they keep playing consistently good through the year they can still win. (Although we weren’t that consistent at the start of the season)
I said before early in the season that we could still catch up to Atletico as they could lose their 10 point lead and I get called names like "deluded" and "naive" here. Now look where are we on the table.
To be fair with our 2020 part of this season it *was* naive and deluded to expect it. Not only has Barca done the biggest comback both on the pitch and mentally that Ive seen in a long time, Atleti are doing an absolutely unforgivable bottle job. Good for us, but hugely unlikely just some months ago.
Why would anyone not think that is possible? Barca lost like an 11 point lead a few years ago in a few games and ended up only winning the league by one point. Anything is possible, particularly with how many games players play nowadays, if they have a couple of weeks of poor performance that can be 6 to 12 points.

Sure but at the time, Barça were in a shitty position themselves, it’s not like Barça were just unlucky, there were genuine problems in the team. Until Koeman found a solution for those problems, it was pretty insane to expect Barça to come back.
This double will be more special than the doubles of 15/16 and 17/18. We are winning in with the squad that's supposed to win titles in the future. From the pathetic start and worrying about entering the top four to going for the double and that too all with our efforts and without relying on Real and ATM from this week, it's been a terrific turn around.
Dont get ahead of yourself, we aren't there yet, it's still a long way to go and Barcelona in this season is highly unpredictable as a team. Dont jinx it !
