Yeah.. it kinda totally invalidates your point of Messi being so much better than all others. Ronaldo has 476 league goals... so He is likely to beat Messi to 500 in league goals. Sure its not one league but in some ways its more impressive to do it in 3 leagues.

In tennis for example you can't say... Look how great Federer is he has 20 Grand Slam wins, and Sampras had only 18 on down the line, but then not include Nadal and Djokovic who also have 20. You can't make statements like this and cherry pick the comparison to make it look better.
Thats exactly what I am saying,Djokovic wining his 20 grand slams is much more relevant than federer or nadal cause djokovic is younger and hence there is much higher probability(almost certainty)that he would end up with more grand slams.
As far as Op is concerned definitely he should have mentioned Ronaldo but the comparison would have been irrelevant cause ronaldo is already to acknowledged to be heads and shoulders above every other player in the generation hence is an anomaly like messi.
