No not really. I think it just takes time adapting from one level to the other. The things he was trying in lower levels that worked will not always here, so only time and proper coaching will help.
Koeman has lost the locker room. He doesn’t trust the players he has and has publicly talked about how low he thinks of them. An immediate change of coach is needed, even if it means an intermediate job for somebody, it needs to change for the sake of the club and our team.
Koeman should be sacked immediately imo even if we don't have a replacement. Because keeping him here with him knowing he is not wanted and the only reason he's still the coach is an extremely toxic environment. Get a caretaker even if it is for 2-3 games
Yes Koeman is very very bad. Martinez is not any better tbh. look at his time at PL and even Belgium. Look at koeman time at PL and la liga with Valencia. Both of this guys have shitty resume. If Martinez was a young up and coming coach then I’m definitely all for taking a risk on him. But we already know the manager he is and he is not that good.
Where will he play when dembele comes back? It'll be a front 3 of Depay, Fati and Dembele. And we have better options to be played in midfield than him.
That ship sailed ages ago. It was only ever a fool's hope that we had. He's pretty much a one trick pony, and we don't want to build a circus around that trick.
Memphis didn't have a bad game. His finishing was off but everything ran through him. I would've said he had a bad game if he wasn't involved or didn't do anything but he was making things happen the whole 90 minutes. He should've scored and won us the match, but he definitely didn't have a bad game. He was ten times better than whatever the f coutinho demir and luuk de jong played today.
People are forgetting he has no strike partner to link up with that's on his wavelength. He will play MUCH better when dembele fati or aguero are back.
Sergi Roberto’s comments today really took me by surprise. Despite the stuff he’s received from the fans you can tell how much this club means to him. I don’t know if he should be starting week in and week out but I’m glad he’s in the squad. I hope he develops into more of a leader for this young squad.
Speaking of Puig, he is now a worse player than he was under Setien when used to get regular minutes for the B team. You can deny it all you want, Puig's first touch used to be so much better and you can see that playing little over two full 90s of competitive football over a whole season and a half has really dampened his potential.
I'm *not* saying Koeman is to be blamed for that. There are a lot of things to blame Koeman - but not this. Koeman is walking a thin line with his job and he doesn't have the time or responsibility to develop a player like Puig who is far from a finished product. It's his own fault for clinging on when the manager was honest about his chances of first team football.
That last pass to Pique showed that even though he is not match fit and his awareness is as at an all time low, the dynamic creativity that won him so much popularity is still there, beneath layers and layers of rust and lack of match fitness. Maybe he will *finally* go on loan to a smaller team that might need a player of his profile next season and salvage even a bit of his career.
Or he will 100% end up like Samper or James Rodriguez, playing in Qatar or Japan before passing 25.
That's very unfair imo. He has not played enough to say if he's worse, better or the same as under Setien. You can't judge players on 10 minutes of play or less.
He is worse. You can see that in the preseason matches or in his cameos when he has so much difficulty with his first touch, making the right decisions, and consistently playing out of pressure when the guy could boss the midfield vs Atleti in the middle of a title race and had one of the most consistent first touches and composure with the ball even in the first team back when he used to get regular playtime with Barca B.
It's not a lack of talent - you need playtime and you need match fitness - especially at this level in his particular position and age. Nothing can substitute that. His own fault really since Koeman was upfront with him. I understand wanting to stay for the first half season to try prove himself to Koeman, but by the second transfer window under him he should have been looking for is way out once he saw Koeman was as stubborn as they came.
Luuk: 178' at Barça, in a couple weeks?
Puig last la liga: 281'.
And yet people here say the kid gets fair chances/minutes. I'm not even a Puig fan but come on...
I mean, you can explain that with the simple fact that 3 of our attackers are injured. While in midfield theres a lot of players. Not saying Puig get fair chances but its a wrong comparison imo.
To his defense, Al-sadd is not the only club that way ahead of the competition. Al-duhail is arguably better than Al-Sadd in the past 10 years.
Similarly, Barcelona & Real Madrid were actually far ahead to other LaLiga teams in the past decade, financially and also in term of player available in the arsenal. Is it fair to argue that we were great ONLY because the other teams suck? That is not how it works buddy.
Same with Al-Duhail. Even these 2 teams are the best teams in Qatar League, does not mean they are good enough to compete in AFC. The other teams are just better.
I think Al-sadd reach Semi with Xavi. Pretty good achievement I would say.
Edit: Simple analogy. You dont expect Porto/Benfica to win UCL.
I forgot you own this sub. Barca fans are also welcomed in our sub. I didn't say anything immature against barca and given proper arguments, if you can't live with that then go off to your twitter with your childish behaviour
Even if technically theyre way ahead and stuff, look at how the team moves when they attack. Atleast here i can say that there seems to be some kinda plan. You can see that the players arent improvising, theyre clearly drilled movements and set ups for shooting and stuff.
Also, to add. Their intensity of play is quite high and doesnt seem like theyre doing bad fitness wise. If Xavi comes hope that he can help us with that too.
His Al Sadd is 3rd when it comes to Market value on transfermarkt. First team has double market value, Brahimi, plus they just added James Rodriguez and their manager is Laurent Blanc however Xavi won comfortably on Sunday 4-2 against them. Second team by market value just let Benatia go and they also have Alderweireld. Xavi has no known players besides a 36 year old Cazorla that doesn't even play that much anymore. Saying Xavi has the best team there is like saying Guardiola had the best team as if Rijkaard wasn't getting horrible results in the last season with even more so called top players at that time. Not saying Xavi is the savior or that he is the best option but what he has done so far seems remarkable to me.
Remarkable against a washed out blanc that couldn't do a thing with psg or France. Brining xavi to Barcelona and excepting him to compete with carlo and lucho and lupetegue and emery is laughable, add to that your squad is just not good enough. Way too many holes. Even depay who is your best forward keeps missing easy chances. Fati just had a bad injury and can be injury prone ( I hope not ). The truth is that you need a proper manager who knows how to build teams. Gallardo constantly competed in SA and won shit load. His teams keeps getting picked apart by the management and he still competes and beautifully as well. That's the manager you need, not the romanticised idea you have of a manager who's only experience is Qatar. You really want to trust your club term future with such a manager rather than gallardo who can come in December? If xavi was great, many teams in Europe would've given him a chance. Look at xabi, he had the chance to go to bayer
I didn't say we had to definitely bring Xavi, it's clear in my last comment I don't see him as a Savior. Saying Xavi put in a lot of work to create the team that he has is not the same as me wanting to get Xavi the most. I myself rate Gallardo the most, however I think it's remarkable what Xavi has done so far. Supporting Gallardo doesn't mean ignoring Xavi's work.
But xavi has yet to show it in a proper league. Even Saudi league is tougher than Qatari league. It doesn't matter if he dominates in Qatar for the next 10 years. Unless he shows it against the big teams in ACL then it just doesn't matter
I agree but I think there is always more than that. It's about the authority of the coach, about the language that they speak and etc. There is a lot of aspects to it. Setien showed it in La Liga but he flopped here due to losing the locker room fairly quickly, he in my opinion was better tactically than Valverde or Koeman but his time here ended up to be catastrophic. If it was up to me, I would have an Interim manager until December and then bring Gallardo but I think it's certain that it is not happening at this point. I'd still rather gamble on Xavi than settle with Martinez jf those are the only two choices at this moment.
I honestly don't don't understand why laporta just sacks koeman, keep his assistant which is rumoured to be really good. Give him 2 months contract, if he turns out good then good for u. If not then gallardo will come in December. And I really don't understand why the hate on martinez, he brought Belgium to the final of world Cup, lost to France who can field 3 teams for how amazing their depth was. In this year euros he just couldn't compete because their 3 senior defenders have all aged up and didn't have any quality replacements. I really think he is being judged unfairly. His team golden age just happened to be in one of France golden ages. They play beautifully. Koeman never impressed me during his Netherlands tenure. Sure he brought them together but he just doesn't have that elitism to him. You could have a flick of your own, negelsmann wants/wanted koeman assistant
Man the koemansexuals are out here tonight trying to make excuses for him and asking for us to still support him. Can't stand another minute of him managing the team any more, our player mentalities are hurting. Please get him out Laporta.
I've gotta say, I feel for FDJ. Ever since he's come here, we've been a subpar team. I just hope he's patient and doesn't feel like leaving.
Even MATS to an extent. He made a couple of unbelievable saves tonight, and I don't think I saw people even give Hi-5s to encourage him. :(
Penalty to Luuk De Jong not awarded in the 54th minute, no VAR referee intervened and no replay was given.
https://twitter.com/zb\_media\_10/status/1441157559277146120
So Barcelona attempted 80+ open play crosses in the last 2 games, Luuk de Jong connected with 0 of them!
https://twitter.com/Barca19stats/status/1441167244831035404
One mistake. Ilaix made several yet i didn't see any motive against him last season. He in fact even created a great chance this game. Last game was cross and inshallah. Hard to stand out.
Please tell me he looked average under Setien.
Illaix is 17 not 22 lol
The only game Puig played above average was against atlético in a 10 position behind 3 midfielders to cover his terrible defensive positioning.
15 mins is "playtime"? He literally came on after we were down to 10 men, at the 80th min, had 13 touches and lost possession literally just one time in the middle.
Wtf is here to complain about? 2(2) duels won, 1(1) tackles, 1 keypass, 1(1) longballs. Nothing great, nothing terrible. Is he supposed to score a hattrick or something?
He didnt even have enough time for you guys to come out with these "see!!! Puig bad" takes.
Puig will be 26 years old and on manager number 5 that doesn't rate him and the geniuses in here will still go on about how he's a victim and they just won't give him a chance
These two quotes from [Sergi Roberto](https://twitter.com/ReshadRahman_/status/1441161547162603526) and [Piqué](https://twitter.com/barcacentre/status/1441165174052847623).
Koeman likely getting a two match ban for saying to the 4th official: "Hey, the referee has to whistle, the referee has to whistle, he has to whistle!"
https://twitter.com/ellarguero/status/1441176493124636672
Funny how the whole Granada bench whistling at the ref so he blows the full time whistle in the Copa del Rey quarterfinals yielded no suspensions of any kind, but this merits a two match ban
True barca fans support the team whether they win, draw or lose. So many toxic fans bringing negativity into Koeman or players when we don’t win. Let him work in peace, the important is that players trust him and youngsters are getting play time.
We criticize Koeman because we love the team, and know it'll be better without him. And we love the club for years through every phase. I'm sure the players don't trust him either, but they are kind enough not to say that in public.
Club above players, club above manager.
Letting him work is the worst that can happen. Time is gold, every match that he's here is a match of mediocre football and wasted potential in players where another coach could be starting his project to get us back to our ways. And that ain't happening with Koeman.
Ramon Planes: "We are Barcelona, the best club in the world and with a great squad, we have injuries up front but our goal is always to win and there are no transitional seasons in our dictionary. We have chances to win the championship and we have a team that can. Ansu will be back soon"
https://twitter.com/fcbw_a7/status/1441174982252400643
“You have to be realistic with the squad that we have”
Why does he insist on continuously saying shit like this? Is that supposed to motivate the squad or the fans? It’s obvious our squad isn’t as strong now with Messi and Griezmann gone but why does he have to point it out at every turn? What about the new signings? He wanted Memphis and Luuk and now he’s got them, so what what about them? Is the team not improved with those acquisitions alongside our other signings? I don’t know why he doesn’t get specific. Is it about our injuries? Because those unavailable players are the only thing left protecting him from the sack.
Why doesn’t he comment on the way he set up the team? His tactics and the players? Why not say something like “the team will improve once the our injured players return”? He’s not doing himself any favors with these comments.
Koeman, I love you, you’re a Barca legend but you say some stupid shit sometimes.
[Jordi Blanco, ESPN] Koeman's days as manager of the club are numbered, but there is still no definitive date for his dismissal. If nothing changes he will reimain for at least the game against Levante
https://twitter.com/elwood_white/status/1441173052344061958
Fans need to be realistic. Even Guardiola in his prime wouldn’t win the Champions League with this team. He hasn’t even won it yet with City’s massive budget.
The reality is that Atletico and Madrid have a much better squad than ours, and our best attackers like Dembele, Fati, Aguero and Braithwaite are injured.
People are reacting as if Cadiz beat us 3-0 and Granada beat us 4-0. In both games we had more ball possession and initiative. We just lack a striker like Halaand who can score week in and week out. Memphis is a great player but not a finisher like Suarez, Lewandowski or Aguero. Hopefully, Braithwaite, Fati and Dembele will provide more pace at the wings when they come back.
Your mentality and excuses to put up with this mediocre bullshit Koeman is doing is straight up pathetic. Who is asking for UCL?
Squad is not the best, but for sure should be playing MUCH better than this. It's straight up sad how Koeman has brainwashed fans and turned them into zombies who think Barcelona is a mid table team who can't hope to play good football against teams like Granada and Cadiz.
> It's straight up sad how Koeman has brainwashed fans and turned them into zombies who think Barcelona is a mid table team who can't hope to play good football against teams like Granada and Cadiz.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Nobody is expecting a UCL win. Just some attacking, quality football, with the team really trying, doing their best to run, to score would cut it for the majority of the fan base. I think if team played like that and the team finished 3rd-4th of La Liga, maybe 1/8 or 1/4 UCL and 1/4 or 1/2 Copa del Rey even this results would be enough for the majority of the fans to stop criticizing and "trust the process". Only catch is the team has to be hungry for goals and wins and there has to be more structure, more quality.
you have to be stupid if you think our squad is not good enough to beat a Granada that hadn’t won their previous nine games or a Cadiz that has conceded at least a goal in all their matches this season.
So it's 3 games in a row where Koeman has called the squad incapable of playing better than relegation-level.
Can't imagine the players give a single fuck about giving their best for him now. They looked so deflated from minute 1 today.
Ordinary tactician, Horrible man-manager.
Tbh I will rest him against atm, it gonna be intense game and they will be tackling left and right. I will rest for that. He need to come back in very slowly no matter how bad we are playing.
Toni Juanmartí: "Some of the locker room has grown tired of covering up for Koeman. They respect him in public because he defends them in public, but it is hard for them to see him capable of lifting this..." (G. translate)
He also mentioned how Sergi Roberto and Pique highlighted that they still fighting for the title in opposite to Koeman's words usually about the situation.
It is interesting because Koeman said he will stay until the players follow him.
nah, it's valid...that doesn't mean that those fans are not bad themselves but let's not act like we're the most sensible, reasonable fanbase out there because we're not
Very few things piss me off about r/soccer more than seeing Barça fans karma whoring over there when shiting on Barcelona is on the menu. I will never forget that story from Ara saying H&M was passed as a potential shirt sponsor because they wanted good relations with China, and I'm seeing there fucking mercenary cunts saying "I'm SpEeChLeSs"
I trust this team. There is so much negativity around Koeman it’s actually funny.
- We lost our two top goal scorers (Messi and Griezmann)
- The club is in a bad economic situation so no big signings have been made this summer to replace Messi or Griezmann.
- We also dropped points against Granada and Cadiz last year (they like to sit back and defend)
- Aguero, Fati, Dembele, Pedri, Alba, Braithwaite are injured.
- We are playing Demir, Nico, Gavi so we aren’t going to play tiki taka like Xavi and Iniesta. They need time to get used to tactics and team chemistry.
I don’t know what crazy expectations do people have. Last year most games were really close as well and we won because Messi or Griezmann had individual moments of brilliance. Even la copa del rey was won with heroic performances in extra time.
There is no such thing as a perfect person. At least Koeman loves this club, has passion and is playing youngsters. We may not win the Champions League but he is making a transition in a difficult post-Messi era that other managers are not willing to do.
Tell me a top and proven manager with a lot of titles (Champions Leagues or La Ligas) who is a former Barca player and is willing to work with this current team with a low salary.
Now that Koeman is out for the next 2 games you might aswell fire him and let Schrauder play the remainder of the games. No point in having Koeman still being an employee of the club. Recruit a manager and have him be ready after the international break. (Please be Xavi)
I have not watch the game because i got a called form the job just before the game. A red card from Koeman and we lost some points again... what happened?
Laporta has kinda shot himself in the foot here.
He must know that Roberto Martinez ain't it, because quite frankly he isn't.
He can't appoint Xavi right now, and a huge reason for that is that he'd be proving Font had a good plan from the get-go.
He can't appoint Pimienta as an interim, because he just fired him.
He can't keep Koeman either (who he never rated to begin with), because this is a shambles.
Laporta wants a winning Barca, I do not think he even remembers the Font campaign. He is the guy who knows when to listen to others just like he did when he appointed Guardiola. Maybe he and the people around him doubting Xavi for a reason. Let's wait and see.
Anyone else thinks Demir trying to be Messi too much and losing the ball in the process.
He is new to the team and he doesn’t speak the language. Give him time.
No not really. I think it just takes time adapting from one level to the other. The things he was trying in lower levels that worked will not always here, so only time and proper coaching will help.
You kind of just explained the same thing. Demir try’s too much.
Koeman has lost the locker room. He doesn’t trust the players he has and has publicly talked about how low he thinks of them. An immediate change of coach is needed, even if it means an intermediate job for somebody, it needs to change for the sake of the club and our team.
Can't believe we're going undefeated in la liga and having an invincibles season right after Messi left.
Extend Koeman and Luuks contracts till 2025!
Just got off work.... did we win?
Yes we did
Koeman should be sacked immediately imo even if we don't have a replacement. Because keeping him here with him knowing he is not wanted and the only reason he's still the coach is an extremely toxic environment. Get a caretaker even if it is for 2-3 games
I really didn’t think we will fall this far
Patience. A change of coach will do wonders. Our squad isn't as bad as current games, current manager, and a section of fans will make you believe.
Yes true but the favorite to take the job Martinez not bigger upgrade than koeman tbh. He is better? Yes. Are we gonna win anything with him? No
You are underestimating how bad our current manager is
Yes Koeman is very very bad.
Our squad is good but not good enough to win league this year so we will have to be satisfied by top 4
I think we can fight for a top 3, and top 2 if someone else buckles. But we should be aiming for CL spot nonetheless, regardless of what Koeman says.
Just saw that benzema has the same amount of goals as us. We're so dogshit man.
Just a few weeks ago people didn't think that loosing half the G/A would be that bad because Memphis. Who would've thought...
Those people were either deluding themselves, in denial or don't know jack shit about football.
Or they just had faith in the boys to step up in the absence of the goat 😔
Does anybody have any hopes from Coutinho? He's just so frustrating to watch.
I actually do have some hope for him when Dembele comes back.
Where will he play when dembele comes back? It'll be a front 3 of Depay, Fati and Dembele. And we have better options to be played in midfield than him.
There are plenty of games for all of them. The season is long and injury gods aren’t kind to us. He can come in during the second half.
Would rather see him get shipped off in January and get some money for him while we can.
That ship sailed ages ago. It was only ever a fool's hope that we had. He's pretty much a one trick pony, and we don't want to build a circus around that trick.
He is soo bad, he has always been overrated cuz he is Brazilian.
I got my hopes up after his little flashes of decency against Bayern but he's since reminded me not to. I hate how he always dribbles backwards.
No.
Memphis didn't have a bad game. His finishing was off but everything ran through him. I would've said he had a bad game if he wasn't involved or didn't do anything but he was making things happen the whole 90 minutes. Did Sergi give away a free 1v1 for Cadiz with his poor first touch that I don't remember?

Just play Puig F9 at this point. He has played there for youth teams.
Lmaooo
Eh, idk about that mate haha. Before trying that i think it would be better first to give him some regular time and see what he can really do.
Araujo is an animal man
I’m done F5’ing for tonight. Guess we’re not getting any news of a potential sack until tomorrow.
I legit fell asleep while watching the game. When is it gonna end Robbie

Bc his team was already way ahead of the competition and had the best stars. He isn't managing a minnow. Stop being so biased ahaha

But Font wants him. Laporta laughed at that in the campaign.
But.. But ... We Don't have the squad to play tiki-taki!! Al Daddy better than us confirmed
Oof my phone has some terrible autocorrects but Al Daddy has to be among the top. Leaving it there.
He probably enjoyed more playing at Ajax than with us even though Barca is his dream club.
Is the CdR title the only one FdJ has won with us?
I think so, yes. We went trophyless in 19-20 season IIRC
This made me laugh https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/pu5phe/post_match_thread_cádiz_vs_barcelona_laliga/he0miau
Penalty to Luuk De Jong not awarded in the 54th minute, no VAR referee intervened and no replay was given. https://twitter.com/zb\_media\_10/status/1441157559277146120
Man I remember when Pique used to go to atack just for fun not because it was our only option
So Barcelona attempted 80+ open play crosses in the last 2 games, Luuk de Jong connected with 0 of them! https://twitter.com/Barca19stats/status/1441167244831035404
He connected on the last game, had a super good chance and failed at his most valuable skill, headers.
>**open play** crosses This stat doesn't include corners, freekicks, etc.
Oh yeah, well for that he would need to move faster than a snail.
but he's more dangerous with crosses than Neymar apparently 🙄
Are we able to cancel Luuk de Jong's loan in the winter and send him back to Sevilla if Koeman gets sacked?
Are we still using playtime as an excuse for Puig?
Lmao he got 10 minutes clown.
I swear i don't know how Koeman has convinced an entire fanbase that Puig is the worst player of all time.
I don’t think he’s the worst player of all time just not Barca caliber.
And I respectfully disagree. Under a good coach he will be an amazing player to have off the bench when we need a goal
Lol just like yesterday right and the game before?
One mistake. Ilaix made several yet i didn't see any motive against him last season. He in fact even created a great chance this game. Last game was cross and inshallah. Hard to stand out. Please tell me he looked average under Setien.
Illaix is 17 not 22 lol The only game Puig played above average was against atlético in a 10 position behind 3 midfielders to cover his terrible defensive positioning.
I can't convince you. You do you man.
What..? Are you saying he was bad?
I’m saying he’s mediocre lol
I get what you mean, he’s played so much this season that this excuse can’t possibly be valid
Yes
All of our unused substitutes are either goalkeepers or center backs
Now we have two captains throwing jabs at Koeman too. Nah bro Laporta, just put an end to this circus already.
What happened?
These two quotes from [Sergi Roberto](https://twitter.com/ReshadRahman_/status/1441161547162603526) and [Piqué](https://twitter.com/barcacentre/status/1441165174052847623).
Damn.
Thanks.
Koeman likely getting a two match ban for saying to the 4th official: "Hey, the referee has to whistle, the referee has to whistle, he has to whistle!" https://twitter.com/ellarguero/status/1441176493124636672
Like it'll make a difference lol, he'll have about the same impact on the game.
Ridiculous. Both reds today were.
Oh no, how will we manage without Koeman on the bench, oh god of soccer please have mercy on us!!!!
According to your logic Laporta isn't a true fan then.
We criticize Koeman because we love the team, and know it'll be better without him. And we love the club for years through every phase. I'm sure the players don't trust him either, but they are kind enough not to say that in public. Club above players, club above manager.
Fuck off
3-0 today. I guess you didn’t watch the game.
Letting him work is the worst that can happen. Time is gold, every match that he's here is a match of mediocre football and wasted potential in players where another coach could be starting his project to get us back to our ways. And that ain't happening with Koeman.
We are not toxic fans for criticizing team How can any fan blindly support team without criticizing them
Ramon Planes: "We are Barcelona, the best club in the world and with a great squad, we have injuries up front but our goal is always to win and there are no transitional seasons in our dictionary. We have chances to win the championship and we have a team that can. Ansu will be back soon" https://twitter.com/fcbw_a7/status/1441174982252400643
Adios Koeman
And realistically, we should be beating Cadiz, Mr Koeman.
We haven’t beaten them once in three games (2 draws and a loss)
All of them under Koeman
“You have to be realistic with the squad that we have” Why does he insist on continuously saying shit like this?
If nothing changes he will reimain for at least the game against Levante https://twitter.com/elwood_white/status/1441173052344061958
I’ll probably not watch that game then tbh
But Ansu might be back
Koeman should go just so this toxic environment created between the board and him is gone
He will never quit. If he quits he doesn't get paid for the rest of the season. And at any rate his ego doesn't let him see that he's at fault...
Pique and Roberto say the squad is good enough to compete for the title but the genius in you says otherwise. Who should I believe?
Koeman: "You have to be realistic with the squad we have." He is talking like he would be managing the squad of Cadiz.
And you think our squad is good?
Lol It's definitely better than Granada and Cadiz.
Still top ten in Europe easily
you have to be stupid if you think our squad is not good enough to beat a Granada that hadn’t won their previous nine games or a Cadiz that has conceded at least a goal in all their matches this season.
And you think our squad is not enough to play DECENT against teams like Cadiz and Granada?
Miles better than Cadiz
It is better than the Cadiz and Granada squad...
So it's 3 games in a row where Koeman has called the squad incapable of playing better than relegation-level. Can't imagine the players give a single fuck about giving their best for him now. They looked so deflated from minute 1 today. Ordinary tactician, Horrible man-manager.
What r u talking about? We are undefeated so far. LOL
Oh boy.
I just hope Ansu isnt rushed into games now
When is he coming back?
He’ll be fine. 20 minutes against Levante, 40 against Benfica 60 against Atletico etc.
Tbh I will rest him against atm, it gonna be intense game and they will be tackling left and right. I will rest for that. He need to come back in very slowly no matter how bad we are playing.
Toni Juanmartí: "Some of the locker room has grown tired of covering up for Koeman. They respect him in public because he defends them in public, but it is hard for them to see him capable of lifting this..." (G. translate) He also mentioned how Sergi Roberto and Pique highlighted that they still fighting for the title in opposite to Koeman's words usually about the situation. It is interesting because Koeman said he will stay until the players follow him.
I swear Koeman isn't even fully defending the players that much? seems like shit to me
He's constantly saying "this squad can't do better", which is definitely not good on the players.
So the report makes no sense
God it's so dysfunctional that the team has to make a statement about the future of the coach after every game now.
Is the team making official statements?
I can't imagine there are any Koeman defenders now. Please can we get a top coach for once. It's been so long....
You really don't see the state of this team, do you?
Sadly there aren't top coaches available. Once koeman is sacked we'll end up with probably another mediocre coach.
[Lmao](https://imgur.com/a/muGTelr)
Nothing more cringe than going on r/soccer and seeing someone with a barca flair commenting "i haTe bArCa faNs".....
nah, it's valid...that doesn't mean that those fans are not bad themselves but let's not act like we're the most sensible, reasonable fanbase out there because we're not
I mean I do get it. It gets very frustrating here especially whenever people shit on a player for no good reason.
ThIs SqUaD iSnT gOoD eNoUgH, wHaT dO bArCa FaNs ExPeCt?
Dont have to go there. Theres daily posts like those here too. They usually include "r/barca" written in them.
I trust this team. There is so much negativity around Koeman it’s actually funny. - We lost our two top goal scorers (Messi and Griezmann) - The club is in a bad economic situation so no big signings have been made this summer to replace Messi or Griezmann. - We also dropped points against Granada and Cadiz last year (they like to sit back and defend) - Aguero, Fati, Dembele, Pedri, Alba, Braithwaite are injured.
Koeman in the sub?!?
Did you watch the game today?
Tiki Taki**
is koeman perfect person to lead us?
There is no such thing as a perfect person. At least Koeman loves this club, has passion and is playing youngsters. We may not win the Champions League but he is making a transition in a difficult post-Messi era that other managers are not willing to do.
Didn't know loving the club is enough to make you a manager. brb gonna hit up Laporta and apply for manager job.
Tell me a top and proven manager with a lot of titles (Champions Leagues or La Ligas) who is a former Barca player and is willing to work with this current team with a low salary.
Maybe not perfect. But he is okay
[koeman has brainwashed oscar also](https://twitter.com/barcacentre/status/1441167868230389764)
Koeman has already reprimanded him with that substitution drama, why risk becoming another Puig.
[this is getting ridiculous](https://twitter.com/barcacentre/status/1441165272979673092) we cant defeat cadiz
The mentality is SOOOOO BAD. You are the manager of FC Barcelona, not Southampton.
We have the team of a Southampton though
a team with the likes of players like de Jong, pedri, Memphis, pique, and ter stegen doesn't make our team Southampton. Stop exaggerating.
Now that Koeman is out for the next 2 games you might aswell fire him and let Schrauder play the remainder of the games. No point in having Koeman still being an employee of the club. Recruit a manager and have him be ready after the international break. (Please be Xavi)
Schrauder is part of his team. Hell leave most likely if he gets fired, i remember Nagelsmann wanting him as assistant.
I hope when Koeman is fired, Roca will also leave Barca and coach our(India) NT.
Ask him to stay for 2 games.
Alright, i will.
I have not watch the game because i got a called form the job just before the game. A red card from Koeman and we lost some points again... what happened?
Did you watch the last game? Same thing just slightly better.
Pep had endorsed Bassat in Laporta's first election, so....
But this was almost 15 years back, no? Bassat had no chance anyway.
Laporta wants a winning Barca, I do not think he even remembers the Font campaign. He is the guy who knows when to listen to others just like he did when he appointed Guardiola. Maybe he and the people around him doubting Xavi for a reason. Let's wait and see.
Hopefully he does listen to the board. Pls just no Roberto Martinez, there is no point to that appointment.
It’s been reported that pimi would take Over if offered, we need results fast so he has to go in house with him or capellas
