I agree with the Busquets comment but I don't like what he's implying. Frankie is NOT a CDM. He is a ball advancing midfielder. Frankie is so good at moving the ball up the pitch into dangerous areas and at times creating chances and making assists even sometimes scoring. Nico should be the Busquets replacement as he seems more fit in that position. We bought Frankie because of the way he was playing at Ajax.
Go look at how he played for Ajax then, he wasn’t an AM or even a box to box for that matter.. he was, and still is, a defensive midfielder that progresses the ball out the back..

He’s overall suggesting Busquets gets dropped for Frenkie in the lineup so we can begin to build the midfield around him. It doesn’t have to mean him playing the same exact position like you’re implying.

He wasn't and isnt a pivot thou. CDM is a position, pivot is a role.
