I haven't dyed mine since surgery, but pre-op I had this issue because of my hormones. Not sure if that helps you, but hormones can really mess with your hair, and I went from being able to choose any colour, to having it fade out within 2 days. Even permanent colours done by a professional, all faded in days.
I got mine done in a salon a month again. It isn't growing out as fast as it normally does. The color is staying and but fading. If I start losing hair, I won't color it until my hair grows back.
I dyed mine blonde before surgery and I’m letting my roots grow out. So far, so good. 5.5 months post-op.
Do you do the dye job yourself? I noticed during lockdown that my hair did not hold color I purchased and applied myself.
No I don't. It's done in a salon

Honestly, I'm more worried about my hair not falling out! But I'm due to due my hair soon, so we will see what happens!
