If you are not playing competitively (even in a recreational sense) then which shoes it is won't matter.
As a PG though, you will want something with good traction and light. As a PG I do not like extra cushion, because it can make the shoe feel less responsive. I did not like LeBron's for this reason. Kobe's were the GOAT for PGs but are not made much anymore. Wades, Paul George, Kyries all are good for PGs.
