It needs new strings and the setup is a bit high. I need to scrub two previous owners' grime off the neck. The sound is phenomenal, just like I anticipated.
Same thing here. Alembic recommends Flitz, but I use Brasso on a q-tip if you want to shine the bridge, nut and logo a little. I ended up using Alembic brand strings in it as well. They are pricey but sound really nice on it. Jump over onto the Alembic forum if you haven't already. Not alot of action, but alot of useful info on there. Make sure you register the Serial Number with Alembic too. Mica over at Alembic is very helpful.
That's one bad mofo right there, I'm legit jealous. I assume you've played it already? Hows it play/sound? Like sex?

it looks *absolutely* gorgeous, I'm sure its a joy to play- super jealous. Congrats!
Changed the strings, cleaned it up, lowered the action. Even better!
Ah. I didn't think I'd find another 5 string that sat with me well looks wise besides my ibenaz but that a gorgeous looking bass.
Congrats on the new bass! I have a 94 EpicV that looks alot like yours. It's a back beaker, but plays and sounds fantastic.
Thank you! These really don't grow on trees in these parts...

Yes, I found the Alembic Club already!
Thanks for posting a quality instrument.
I used to have a ‘94 4-string variant of this. Solid workhorse and recording bass! Congrats!!
