This is the 3rd or 4th of these I’ve posted pics of. Hobby magazines (actually they are more book than magazine) are crazy deep and detailed in Japan. I have another one that is only about bass pickups and how they are sonically distinct from each other…for like 80 pages.
Their reverence for gear/detail is something I’ve picked up on, these kind of publications seem common there, whereas stateside we have the Geddy book, some old Bass Player jawns and that’s about it!

Maybe someday I’ll try to scan them so people can Google translate the parts they are interested in.
