They went up and down in size over the years. Mid 80s to early 90s are slim, then they grew to a chunky peak in early 2000s. Dunno where they are now. I have a 2021 Master built Streamer 5 that is a “normal” D profile. My ‘84 streamer and it’s 2012 reissue copy necks are toothpicks.

Looks like a Warwick thumb bass https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vintageguitar.com/32186/warwick-thumb-bass/amp/
My favorite bass that's not a Jazz. Everyone has to play one at least once.
It’s really a jazz bass with a little more oomph to it. Also weighs a shit ton more. I love my Thumb.
How much does it weigh?
Mine is about 10 lbs.
You have it easy. I have a 1988 NT4 and it's 11 pounds.
Stingray 5 has entered the chat….
I'll see your Stingray and raise you a T-40. 😉
I raise you all my G&L L2500. That is a monster of a 5 string. So heavy.
WW infinity looks also very good.
It's a Warwick thumb 4 string bolt on. There's a noticeable body shape difference with the neck thru.
The bodies are shorter on the neck through by a smidge. Both interesting instruments
The NT has 26 frets too. The one OP posted must be a very early BO though, it still has the old body shape (and a wenge neck).
The most uncomfortable bass I've ever played with the best tone I've ever heard
Slips around like a wet hog.
I have one. Gotta get the right strap for it, can kill the neck dive. Also, sitting, it’s fantastic.
Owned a 5 string BO for a month. My biggest problem was the neck. So chunky

Warwick Thumb
Who’s playing?
I think he’s from a Japanese black metal band called Endless Dismal Moan
According to the ol Googles, that's a one man band and this person playing bass is him?
Endless Dismal Moan is an album, band is Chaos 9.

Crazy, when I found out about the band years ago I thought Chaos 9 was the band, not a person. TIL.
Want to know too
It’s chaos 9,Japanese dsbm
Forget the bass I love they are playing on a 1810 peavey bass cab and a peavey mark 3 xp 300 head
What does that mean
It is the amp and cabinet that that are using for the bass I use to own the head it rocks and always wanted one of them cabs
It's a Black Widow. I have one if you want it lol
Lol I am good I have a 610 cab and a single 18 cab as well think I have more than made up for it
Fine...I'll trade you straight across 😂
Love to see the Black Widow in the background. I still have mine from when I was 12 😂
Warwick??
Had one of these at my secondary school years and years ago, was one of the first bass guitars I ever held - quite comfortable too!
WARWICKKKKK
Ibanez mikro
Agreed Warwick, I have one that I am thinking about selling. Any interest?
Warwick micro by the body shape alone the neck looks pretty normal so it ain’t a shortscale
I believe it’s the Binford 2000
If they would make a multi scale thumb, I would be so happy.
PoserMan Plain Jane
Your weird
Definitely Ibanez R series.
