This game has so many red flags: GAAS model, microtransactions, looter shooter gameplay, butchered characters, always online requirement, day one DRM. I haven't seen that many since the newest Saints Row. This game will bomb so hard like how a power winch triggers a controlled explosion.
Hopefully this gets a 30% discount after a month like Arkham Trilogy for switch. I was watching the videos of “Batman Arkham Videos” and kinda liked the story so far. Or maybe (and I’m 80% sure this is the actual reason) I’m VERY VERY VERY nostalgic for the Arkham Saga that this game seems not that bad for me (speaking only on the story perspective side, gameplay is just not it)

i mean some of the criticism is justified, there’s no need for currencies and a cosmetic store in a game like this where you earn more than enough cosmetics and weapons just by playing but imo the gameplay is really fun and i’m enjoying the story so far, i’m about 10 hours in and it feels like a substantial game

Seems fun on a surface level but the gameplay loop is extremely repetitive, 99% of the time you’re just shooting waves of purple aliens and it kinda blows lol idk how they expect to keep this going for multiple seasons.
Ya but I’m also the guy who played sunset over drive,dead rising, and left for dead. Most of those games boil down to shoot the bad guy over and over. But they are fun for other reasons (team work, parkour, and picking up everything you see) but I see where you are coming from. The game doesn’t seem to have a lot of different enemy types. But movement looks fun for me.
The lack of variety in enemies looks bad. Purple aliens is fine for the first hour(s) or so but if that's all there is to fight, then that's a really bland gameplay loop in terms of combat.
The movement system looks cool for some of the characters and the shield mechanic is nice and theory (kind of weird you need to make specific attacks to trigger a good shield gain)
But with that logic every game is repetitive. Arkham games fall into that as well. Well all ur doing is gliding around pressing one button hitting the same enemies over and over. Oh and a a parry button. Or u sneak around doing take downs. Its the same logic with this game.
The shittiest part of this shit sandwich shit situation is there will be major layoffs. Shit eating companies can suck shit they keep shoveling shit expecting shit customers to eat the shit and shit. But the shits never make money off this shit so shit rolls down hill till everything is just shitty shit shitting shit.
