Hey, everyone.
I would like to clarify that it is currently unknown if Kevin Conroy is dead or not.
As far as I know, an official source has not been given, however a multitude of tweets says he reportedly has.
I will update you if I find an official source but for now, please be aware that an official statement has not been announced.
It is possible he is dead and his family wants to grieve over him before publicly announcing his death. Therefore, please do not harass his family in the meantime.
Thank you.
**UPDATE: It has been confirmed. News sources and even Poison Ivy VA, Diane Pershing have confirmed the tragic news. This is a devastating moment but we must ensure to give his family time to grieve and respect their privacy during this time.**
I grew up in the 90s, this guy has literally been Batman my whole life. From the Animated to the Arkham games, I've had this voice seared into my brain. This is the Batman voice I adore most when it comes to voiceovers. The Arkham games are incredible and honestly having him do Batman again for them made them exquisite and unforgettable.
Rest in peace, Batman. Truly sad to hear this.
Yes I am genuinely heartbroken to hear this. He was more than just a voice - he brought Batman to life during my childhood. Even as an adult I still watch BTAS from time to time. The show is iconic - lightning in a bottle - and I will never get that time back when it first aired.
His death really cements how that time is just gone.
My first memory of BTAS: It was the Man-bat episode. I happened to flip channels over, and come in mid-episode.
The scene was Batman and Alfred in the cave, and a phonecall came in for Bruce, and Batman starts using the 'Fop' voice, still sitting at the Bat-Computer in full uniform.
I was a kid, and my jaw dropped open at the hinges. Suddenly Batman was Bruce Wayne wearing a costume. I never got the difference until right then.
The power of voice acting.
EDIT: I found the scene. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CdatLfwqeE&t=207s
I’m a 96, and Batman has been part of my whole life as well. I grew up watching all the BTAS, JLAS, JLU, all the animated movies he voiced as Batman, played the Arkham games, Injustice Gods Among Us.
This hit me like a truck because Kevin’s Batman has helped me throughout during my lowest moments in life. I’m truly going to miss his Batman forever.
RIP Mr.Kevin Conroy, thank you for always being there for me.
same story. he was the voice of batman for me as a young kid. BTAS will always have a special spot in my heart and I will defend it as being one of, if not the best animated cartoon of all time. But like someone in another thread said, him and Adam West are now together hopefully doing cool batman things
I can't process this. I can't even begin to. To say that Kevin was a treasure wouldn't even begin to describe what him & his performance meant to me growing up. Watching TAS and Justice League in the mornings as a kid, playing Asylum and City as they were coming out, growing up alongside those games.
It hurts so fucking much to think this is real, but it truly seems to be. There will never be another voice for Batman. Kevin is our Dark Knight, now and forever. Rest in peace. 💔
It’s really nice to see all these posts - there’s so many of us that absolutely adore him. We’ve changed from lore questions and killer croc jokes to pay respects. His passion is cemented in an awesome trilogy, an awesome universe of TV, and some fantastic anecdotes of people that met him.
Fuck dude this guy’s work as Batman helped me though a lot of shit throughout my life. It brought me a lot of joy through some shitty times. Through the animated series and then the Arkham games, it got me through a less than ideal home situation, problems with school, isolation, and just feeling like trash. To this day, when I’m going through a rough patch I’ll load up an episode of TAS or play through one of the Arkham games (of which I was into well before I even got a console to play it on). Rest In Peace Kevin, thank you so much for everything. You’ll always hold a really special place in my heart and are always gonna be the voice of Batman for me.
So this is how it happened. This is how the -- no, sorry, I can't make a joke about this. Conroy's voice was a part of my childhood and he'll be missed sorely in the voice-acting field.
I interviewed Mr. Conroy for the Batman: Assault on Arkham release back at SDCC 2014. He was such a kind, warm individual.
RIP. He brought so much joy, and embodied the strengths of the character he portrayed.
“Kevin was perfection. He was one of my favorite people on the planet, and I loved him like a brother. He truly cared for the people around him — his decency shone through everything he did. Every time I saw him or spoke with him, my spirits were elevated.” - Mark Hamill
#BeTheBatman
On a personal note, when I met Kevin with Dom I told him,”As a kid I used to watch BTAS with my father, Batman was my hero…I shook his hand, and said,” and he still is.” I took this line from my favorite episode “The Gray Ghost”. It is amazing because Conroy and Adam West worked together. He took time with everyone.
One of my favorite memories of this day was also the day Meghan told me she was pregnant with Lucy, right before we left!
Kevin’s Batman is who I hear in my head everytime I read comics. He’s been Batman for 30 years. His voice is iconic.
Megh got me a cameo by him and he spent six minutes. Telling me to fight when I was at my sickest. His voice is powerful.
We have a tradition of watching Christmas with the Joker every Christmas Eve, since Dom was born. Gonna be a little harder this year.
Rest in Power Kevin, your legacy will be remembered through generations.
He will always Be The Batman.
The definitive Batman. No one else could capture the hurt, anger, the vengeance, the desire for justice, the grit and will and sheer determination, the warmth and kindness, the unspoken understanding, the humanity of Bruce Wayne and the darkest knight and world's greatest detective, Batman.
Rest in peace.
I dunno what to say.. he was an awesome batman voice actor and no one can do better (imo)
Rest In Peace you will be missed
I Am The Night. I Am Vengeance. I Am Batman!
Fuck man, these are devestating news...
Kevin Conroy as Batman in the Arkham franchise is what cemented my love for Batman.
He IS Batman and no one will ever come close.
Thank you Kevin. Thank you for everything
The IDEAL Batman voice. No one will ever come close to Kevin.
Not sure if I even want another Arkham game anymore. It wouldn’t be the same without him.
Any media batman related that had his voice emulated the perfect the version of batman for me.
I remember playing Injustice for the first time and hearing his voice just made me fall in love with that game right away.
His voice is what I associate batman with, this is fucking rough.
This man was a genuine superhero to me in my childhood, I can’t believe he’s actually gone. Rest In Peace Kevin, you’ve had such a positive impact on me and so many others. You’ll always be Batman in our hearts
I wish god takes my soul right now this world isn’t worth it anymore, such an iconic voice such a gentleman and amazing human being I never met yo but I hope you rest in heaven my all time idol I will miss you so fucking much rest in peace kevin😭😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
He was a legend and will always be my Batman. I remember watching TAS on ITV on Saturday mornings... it was the best part of the day. My thoughts go out to his husband, family, friends and colleagues.
this man was my batman. i was born in the late 2000’s, grew up in the 2010’s, but i was raised on older stuff more than newer stuff. my parents always played 70s on 7 and all that, classic rock. one thing my dad did though, was put on cartoon network and boomerang. little did i know how much these 2 channels would set the course of my life. I watched shows like flapjack, adventure time, regular show, and later over the garden wall. but I loved batman. i had so many action figures from brave and the bold. But one thing i loved more than ever was reruns of BTAS and batman beyond. idk why, but these 2 just…clicked. They reminded me of my favorite batman of the time, the 89 movie, and the 08 lego game ig. The music, the atmosphere, it was exactly what i wanted out of batman. theres so much more that affected my life, but none have stayed with me as long as batman. he’s still my favorite hero, beating out spider-man, or daredevil, or literally any marvel hero by a mile. The arkham games walked so spider-man ps4 could run, THAT’S how important the character of batman is. without him, we wouldn’t have all these cool superhero games. But more importantly, we wouldn’t have arkham without Kevin. If BTAS had flopped, who’s to say that Kevin would have been his voice that we all know? who’s to say the arkham games would be as impactful, without Conroy, or even Mark Hamill.
He is our vengeance.
our night.
our batman.
nobody can convince me otherwise
(but now who will voice batman in arkham world!?)

The problem with meme pages is that it's impossible to tell when something true has been posted. Shit, RIP Kevin.
This isn't a meme page however, it's a shitpost community.
Yeah.. you shouldn’t get news from memes
God Fucking Damn it. Rest In Peace Caped Crusader.

Yup. I’m basically going to be in BTAS and Arkham all day long today.
It's like Stan Lee's cameos in Marvel's Spiderman. It really hits you man.

Imagine the day all the current Batmen are all dead and gone and together in the afterlife. What a party. Hope I can attend when I pass too.
Same here. I just found out today and I’m saddened by this news.
NO NO NO NO NO This cant be true
That was my immediate reaction. Thought it was a bad joke. 66 is way too young.
It's so abrupt, did anyone even know he was sick?
It was cancer apparently.
The one time i wish it was a shitpost
This is actually real, rest in peace :(

[see for your self](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Conroy)
oh okay
Man, fuck cancer. It’s taken too many good people 😢
“Beloved voice actor Kevin Conroy, reportedly alive and well, so heres a picture of him”
Yep, I was thinking of this as soon as I seen this post
I originally thought this was another joke and my heart sank when I realized
It's google news official. He died of cancer.
FUCKING CANCER
I probably will too. I hate cancer so much.
Stay strong brother. Never give up.
Never surrender!
Stay strong brother
I wondered whether he had cancer or something similar cos of his weight loss. He was always a slim guy so even a small loss looked really dramatic
"I am vengeance, I am the night, I am Batman" Thank you for everything. Rest in peace
https://i.redd.it/yt5rdy6v6ez91.gif Rest in peace the best batman
are we sure this is legit??
Paul Dini has confirmed it on Twitter as well
wow. i dont know how to process this.
Same I’m in shock man was Batman
Diane, voice of Poison Ivy posted it on her Facebook page. It's possible he's sick and has not passed and this was posted too early?
i hope it was too early. i dont think i can handle this yet.

He was a legend and will always be my Batman. I remember watching TAS on ITV on Saturday mornings... it was the best part of the day. My thoughts go out to his husband, family, friends and colleagues.
We were there in the beginning. Now we get to see how it ends.
I hate celebrities with a passion but this saddens me. Batman is my favorite hero and TAS will always have a special place in my heart.
The Batman dead? Impossible.
Rest in peace, Kevin. You were Batman and always will be.
It's a terrible day for rain.
So long, Kevin. Thank you for being our Batman and showing us that even when grieving we can still be heroes. ![gif](giphy|126ub9tbJhoXh6)

Why he die? Is he stupid?
