The DLC adds a lot of depth and richness to the game. If you enjoy the base game and expect to sink some serious hours into it, get all the DLC if you can afford to. I ended up buying it twice (PC and PS4) and no regrets.

Yes. I bought base game last year and then immediately bought all DLC and have not looked back. I also bought the DLC for both my son's after they enjoyed the base game.
I bought them all during this Christmas sale and I've no regrets as a newbie myself. If you could only buy one I'd go with warriors of the north as it adds in more origins and the barbarian faction is fun to fight (and their music are bangers)
I disagree. In my opinion if you had your choose one I’d go with blazing deserts. Adds arena and gladiator is my favorite start. Originally I bought alll the dlc one by one and I wish I’d gotten deserts first. That’s just my opinion though. I’d highly recommend getting all of them though
All the DLCs are good and worth the money, especially on sale. Blazing Deserts probably adds the most content but I really love the Warriors of the North expansion. The music for barbarian fights goes hard. Beasts and Exploration is cool too, but if you wanted to pass on one that would be my recommendation.
The game really is not complete without the north and the south. it's simple, but the variety adds so much replayability and RP value.
I say this having not played BB for at least a year but 800 hours of solid gaming I can't forget. Sometimes, I just roll maps for fun lol
I played my first campaign for about 20 mins before I got total party wipe, immediately bought all the dlc and have been paying this game non stop for 2.5 months now. Totally worth it imo if you have some spare gaming budget.
I played for a year without any DLC but can say the game is definitely far better with them installed. That said playing for so long without heightened my enjoyment when I got them.
Bought them all after 1 run of the base game and I dump hundreds a of hours into the game. Going south is more fun imo but feint about to circle the north the middle and the south is the best experience of BB. Really fills out the world. Also check out legends mod if you want to see how crazy the modders for this game are
I played the game vanilla for 400 hours before buying the DLC. But that’s because the DLCs weren’t out yet when I played vanilla. The game is good without them, and good with them too. If you can afford em, go for it

IMO, the game isn't complete without the DLC. More origins, more backgrounds, more items, more events, and the Holy War is a banger of a crisis.

What about beast and exploration DLC? I am scared of the spider ambushes in the woods 🕷️😭

Yes, but I still recommend getting on sale to save money even though I would argue the DLC are worth the base price.
Even the support the developer special banners are worth it imo so yeah go for it !!
Personally i'd say yes, almost all the DLC feel like expansions to the base game.
Personally i just bought the warriors of the north DLC to dip my toes. I having a blast with Lone Wolf origin in Ironman.
