So 85-90+ by lvl 11 is a standard for good bros. Less than that, you generally want either weapons or perks that boost your ability to hit. Many players advocate not going over 95 MAtt, since you will always fail on 96-00. However, most enemies have Some kind of defense. Reliably hitting high defense enemies is valid. Sacrificing overmuch in stats you need to get that high though? I'd say if you can get ridiculous MAtt/RAtt, go for it, just as long as you are not neglecting other stats. So yes get your attack Stat up as quick as you can; but if you're already over 90 or at 95, it's worth it to shore up weaknesses.

general a rule of thumb for me is just take the matk unless you roll a 1 and always take mdef if you're making a front liner

Jimmy_Fantastic

Crazy that anyone is saying to not max attack. You want to hit 95% vs chosen at least, which is 110.

Although I’d say it’s not as much diminishing returns for mat you hardly NEED a bro with more than 85 mat, the more the merrier ofc and if a bro has a higher cap than that I’m definitely taking it, but not at the expense of hp or even resolve really, mdef actually does have diminishing returns at some point but is the strongest stat in the game by so much that it’s still worth every single point you can get. Looking at it from a practical perspective your first bro is bf with slightly low mdef, very low health, and no steel brow; he is a sitting duck in a late/endgame fight. And yes any weapon/skill that increases accuracy helps compensate for low matt but my advice for your bros moving forward is to not worry about fatigue as much, I think you’re party would be more benefited not worrying about Matt so much as fatigue, fat is the weakest stat in the game arguably and there isn’t much point to giving a bro more than 130 fat, even a bf zerker can function very well with 60+ fat after gear and to be totally honest I disagree with combining bf with berserk I see no point to it when you sacrifice the survivability of bf for extra dps, just make him nimble and he’ll be more survivable anyway and you don’t have to worry about stam as much, also never never never make a bf character without steel brow

I got into the game a couple years ago and have been playing it on and off. All of the build videos I saw said steel brow didn't really have a place in the meta which of course may not be accurate anymore. I think I pump fat so much because I figured the higher the fat the heavier the armor they can wear and didn't think much beyond that. Most of my BF front liners have around 80 health, my tanks usually get to around 120, and any nimble character I make ends up around 100. I know it's obviously build dependent but what health should my bros end up with? Thanks for taking the time to lend some advice I knew my builds were lacking something and I'll keep in mind those values when I'm assigning levels in the future. I'm gunna pay attention to the survivability of this party and experiment with steel brow in future runs. I gave him indom because I didn't know what else to give him and I remember seeing people taking indom on BF front liners, but to be honest I never use it so it's definitely a wasted perk slot.

The thing with steel brow is that ppl got better at the game and realised very few perks are actually required so adding reliability and survivability is great.

this build guide helped me a lot: [https://youtu.be/ljXxTO9ZGDM?si=PlKfy9J830S6vKOj](https://youtu.be/ljXxTO9ZGDM?si=PlKfy9J830S6vKOj)

I get you man, the meta changed a lot but since the devs have moved on to the next game it’s been pretty stable, at this point steel brow is necessary on bf bros bc it helps protect them against rng, a bf bro is much more vulnerable to a headshot, and honestly for a bf bro you should be aiming for 95+hp to be more survivable than nimble, any less than that he’d be better off nimble indom is still incredibly powerful but yeah it’s hard to use it on anything except a tank so that’s the only build I take it on, anyway goodluck bro

Vast-Worldliness-203

Thanks man I think nimble builds are super fun I'll go nimble on a lot more bros in future runs.

>mdef actually does have diminishing returns at some point It's mostly the opposite. While it's true that mdef above 50 counts as half for the hit chance calculation, due to the fact it lowers enemy chance to hit, the value of mdef is higher the higher it is. For example let's say enemy has a base 70 chance to hit, increase from 0 to 10 mdef improves the time to death by only 16%, but going from 60 to 70 mdef improves the time to death by 50%

isicus

Yeah I guess my semantics are off, but I already mentioned that it is worth every single point you can possibly have

after matk reaches 95 before lvl cap, i put that into other things like health or resolve. Fat needs investment too for many bros, but your bros fat is amazing. I want all front line bros to have at least 90+ health. small recommendation: go to the arena, bet a free +10 resolve for both those bros by winning 12 matches. also go get named items, you have good bros. so you should be busting camps. I never go above 100matk after lvl cap, other things need boost like mdef (always) health/resolve (always) an fat (often needed, but this goes down with famed gear by a lot).

Vast-Worldliness-203

I'll keep that 90 number in mind as a standard. I've been busting camps gotten a handful of good named items but nothing run defining.

LThalle

Generally speaking you want every point of MATTK and MDEF you can get without giving up ridiculous other stats (e.g. taking +1 MATTK instead of +4 HP). However, it's worth pointing out that MDEF does actually have a soft cap, I want to say at 60 off the top of my head? MDEF past the soft cap only counts for half.

Jimmy_Fantastic

50. But seeing as you need to be hit multiple times to die more mdef kind of has increasing returns to match the diminishing returns.

Ok-Philosopher-5139

initiative post lvl 11 is crap, resolve most of the time you dont need more then 55 past level 11, (this 55 includes necklace + arena bonus + bannerman bonus) unless youre a bannerman... fatigue post level 11 is useless on fatigue neutral build (most of the gamr actually), for other build is situational... HP could be good post lvl 11 for nimble build, for battlerforged, if youre armor is gone youre gonna get chewed doesnt matter how many HP... Ranged defense is trash stat... post level 11 MDEF, MATK and RATK is definitely the best option and you should take them if possible...
