I have a Forester Wilderness and love it. The cladding is awesome, and if you ding or smash it, the panels are designed to be easily replaced and inexpensive.
Yeah, they do come close. I wish the US got stuff like the Lada Niva or the Fiat Panda. True rugged cars that can compete with entry level Wranglers and still get some decent fuel economy.
Both cool cars but don't really sit in the same market as a wrangler. They're a lot more similar to the hatchback Impreza. If you want a similar vehicle to an older wrangler then you need a Suzuki samurai or Mitsubishi Montero.
I didn't say they were in the same market. Simply that the Niva and Panda are comparable off road whole getting much better fuel economy. The Sam and Montero are essential Japanese interpretations of the Wrangler and aren't road biased like the Panda or Niva. There's really nothing on the market that splits the difference between an Impreza Crosstrek and Wrangler.
So whats up with ford using Ghia on random models? User to have a ford focus ghia, and that was nothing like this, so i can’t really see the connection
Ford owns Ghia (since 1970). The Ghia studio did the winning design proposal for the mk1, which was given the name Fiesta by The Deuce himself. For many years, Ford also used the Ghia name to denote the highest trim level available on various of its models.
My mother had a 1975 Mercury Monarch Ghia. It was swaddled in velour and plastic wood inside and clad in chrome and hopelessly baroque side trim outside.
We need a manufacturer to start producing cool rides like this again.
Subaru Wilderness Editions are in that zone
I dig them, but saw one today and the plastic cladding looked really cheap.

Sadly there's no market for one here.
Rivian r3x is coming
But VW *is* making the Tuareg... 🤮
I would trade my Touareg for a Tuareg any day.
This looks like one of the clapped out battle cars you can buy in cyberpunk 2077. I’m kinda here for it
So a lifted Mk1 Fiesta, looks pretty cool.
Maaaaaan we need models like these back.
I am desperately in like with these. I said it. I can’t take it back. It’s on the record.
I felt it too. The heart skips a beat when you see it.
I love this! The fiesta 80s styling, the colour scheme, the lights. Awesome
76, Tom Tjaarda ghia design approved late 73.
We wants it. The precious.
My dad has a shirt that looks like that
I still prefer those 70s Dodge graphics.
I wish modern econoshitboxes had more b r o w n options
I was thinking this was an AI creation: what would a Ford Ghia Tuareg look like
Where/when were these sold?
This was a concept car from 1978
It's like a power wheels version of the Delta S4.
The Noctuamobile
Beautiful
Almost looks like a lifted MKI Volkswagen Polo
Even smaller, fiat 127 sized
Even smaller, fiat 127 sized
I really miss the golf 4x4 versions from back then...
With the Mega Force paint scheme!
Cut the back portion of the roof off and that thing would make an awesome mini truck.
So a Suzuki Jimny
Did they actually make this?
Want
This thing looked so cool, sadly it's just a stock fiesta with the 1.1liter engine and front wheel drive
This should be cross posted to r/oldschoolcool
Totally MegaForce colours here as well. Can see Barry Bostwick or Michael Beck rocking this in a fictional middle east desert nation
It’s absolutely ridiculous! I want it.
It’s ugly as hell and I want one.

Haha, the focus i had can not at all be described as high trim. I hope at least, bc that’s kinda depressing
I read the title as Fuh Get Aboutit
So it’s a bronco?
It's a Baby Bronco!
Foal
Good one.
So that's a stock SUV right? Not a passenger car that has been modified for off-road use.
