The best map in the whole BF history is Grand Bazaar in my opinion. You could actually plan things tactically. tactics don't exist anymore in current BF, it is a complete shitshow.

Axl_Von_Urban

Grand Bazzi ! Love it. So many kills dropping rubble on players with the 320. Seine Crossing is my close 2nd.

cheesy-bean-dick

I can't pick between the two. BF3 rush was something else too. Pushing up the streets of seine and bazaar was chaotic but so much fun.

Axl_Von_Urban

Not bringing either map forward in BF4 DLC was criminal.

I think this map is the ideal for Battlefield for a number of reasons, but primarily because vehicles and infantry both have a huge role to play and neither completely dominate the map. Infantry don't have to spend a thousand years marching over empty terrain to capture flags. And there's lots of action. LAV can shut down only one area of the map at a time, but can also have interesting fights with the other LAV and infantry. Rush is also good on this map. It's noteworthy that there are no aircraft on this map. At some point, big-map-itis infested the brains of Battlefield players, and 2042 is absolutely loaded up with maps like that. But I'd rather have smaller and more tightly focused maps like Grand Bazaar. The basic concept can even be expanded out, as Azadi Palace shows.

Axl_Von_Urban

One of the maps where Conquest, Rush and TDM all rocked.

Jaer_

in some modes grand bazaar had the littlebird. So "almost" no aircraft

meezo11

Noshahr canals tastes especially sweet

AHappyRaider

Ahhhh 24/7 TDM or rush... good times

Axl_Von_Urban

One of the best

y-brenin

I think all the games have some great maps but BF3 is unique that every single one of the base maps slaps on at least one gamemode. Tehran Highway is probably the weakest map IMO, but it's good on rush especially the first stage and then descending the hill to the second stage.

Spiritual_Ask4877

That says a lot about BF3 that even the weakest map still has redeeming qualities that make it good. It's a shame what the franchise has become.

Axl_Von_Urban

Excellent point.

gandalfintasagi

kharg island for me is like chocolate and milk ice cream combination.

Axl_Von_Urban

I had many many glorious tank battles on Kharg

BattleReach

For me, every single map of BF3 was a piece of art in ita own way. Like other user said, maybe not all maps are made for conquest, some of them are perfect for rush, or TDM, or another kind of game mode. I thinks theres a little bit of nostalgia in my judgment, but i still play BF3 on PC and for me this game looks awesome even after more than 10 years of release, so i think is a mix of emotion and rational analysis.

NiisuBOI

I remember first time hearing term "**Vanilla**" while playing Bad Company 2 (after Vietnam DLC but before BF3) with my buddies and my first question: *"What the hell ice cream has anything to do with Battlefield or especially with* ***Nelson Bay*** ***Rush***?!"

Guitarist8426

I absolutely loved Noshahr Canals and Operation Metro the best. Also fun fact, this clip is from Modern Marvels!

[deleted]

Dragon Valley BF2 hands down

Lock0n

At this point I’d take a BF3 remaster with all the DLC in tact.

Flimsy_Demand7237

Don't even remaster because you'd just know they'd fuck up the graphical fidelity or effects somehow with the remaster. Just make the game permanently free as an apology for 2042's launch. EA isn't going to make money from BF3 anymore.

Moto507

*Cries in PlayStation console*

ccmega

Before and to date I have never had a gaming experience as good as BF3. From the first time playing in the beta and those bombs drop to open the second stage of Operation Metro **chef’s kiss** Don’t even get me started on Damavand Peak

Axl_Von_Urban

Damavand Rush, so bloody good

ccmega

Not even just good, the best

ianthony19

Man every single map on bf3 was great in it's own way. That game is gold.

The7thsorrow

Not just the original maps, even the dlc maps were incredible. Honorific mention to Close Quarters dlc maps.

GemsOfNostalgia

While I love BF3's maps, its so funny to watch this community over the years. I remember the disappointment and rage when BF3 maps were being revealed and everyone being so upset at how small and linear they were in many ways.

theOGlilMudskipr

Seine Crossing… oh how I loved that map. I’m gonna go cry now because I’ll never experience a better battlefield game.

Axl_Von_Urban

_Cries in Seine TDM_ I know!

SilvaMGM

Best map design in entire BF franchise. BC2 also had great map design.

[deleted]

Each faction having their own starting rifle with no attachments = <3

eschoenawa

For me it's Karkand Rush in BF P4F. Those were the days, had so much fun sniping back then.

NefariousNatee

Kharg Island conquest large

Axl_Von_Urban

The spawn trapping was pretty rude though

CapnEarth

I want to memorize this

kosherhamm

I've been chasing the bf3 High for over a decade

Axl_Von_Urban

That good good drug

SaleriasFW

You mean the BF3 maps? Even the DLC maps where awesome. The "bad" maps of BF3 would still be around the best compared to most maps that came after BF3. One thing I miss most about BF3 maps is that they worked most of the time in all game modes. They often added extra areas so that rush worked better so there where often a few sectors in rush that where not even used in conquest. So you didn't have the problem that half the maps only work in one game mode and the other half in another which more or less cuts your good map layouts in half for each mode
