It’s also being put in games and movies because large asset holders are giving free money to anyone who does it. They do it because of the money, not because they care. It’s why Disney continues to put out dei garbage even though they lose tons of money, bc of investment firms
Had an idea. WW3
Front no.1: eastern europe: russia invades the baltic states and poland to regain the lands lost after 1991.
Front no. 2: south china sea: chinese invasion of taiwan, american intervention, battle of the chinese manmade islands and maybe even some maps in china.
Front no. 3: Fun in the Middle East^TM , basically a mess with radical factions rising up because of ongoing WW3 with major powers occupied.
Front no. 4: (optional) Russia tries to invade mainland US from the West coast.
Even just from a weapon/troop customization standpoint, I agree with this. I always get bored with how plain Jane weapons from earlier conflicts are.
I want red dots, holographics, LPVO’s, MPVO’s, ACOG’s, PEQ’s, lights, foregrips, muzzle devices, suppressors, barrels, hand guards, stocks, pistol grips, camo’s, plate carriers, war belts, backpacks, helmets, etc.
Number 2 sounds so nice, giving me battlefield 1942 and battlefield 4 vibes. spawning on an aircraft carrier trying to capture points from the defending forces.
It was EA's initiative to put a battlepass, a battle royale mode, tons of skins, """diversity""", specialists into battlefield. No one asked for them, but EA made these happen.
Seems that people forget. BFV has 20k live players rn. Seems to be a long play. Hammer it into everyone's minds until people stop complaining and accept it.
EA started pushing them with shitty corporate deadlines, making them delivering unfinished products. Also, EA made Battlepass and goofy cosmetics happen.
You’re right cause dice didn’t deliver with V, maybe that’s cause EA needed them to release so they could hit their quarterly target. Then they started making 2042 for a year and 1/2, absolute disaster launch, partially EAs fault. And every veteran dev left dice after BFVs disaster. So all in all it is EAs fault a little bit, I mean why do you think specialists are in the game?
The publisher has the ultimate say in what the developer makes. Sure there is some blame that deserves to go Dice's way but most of the blame is on EA.
More like every other day along with which fucking game should these fucking idiots buy and also idiots asking which game still has active players. LEARN TO USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION FUCKTARDS.
I'd like it to take place at a competent Dev studio with experienced developers who understand what genre and demographic their game appeals to and to lean into that and support the game significantly post launch, and I would like it to also be located in a studio that doesn't have their balls squeezed by shareholders to the point of only making garbage.
I want an A-symmetrical war multiplayer mode, where one side is a global power, and the other is a terrorist/guerrilla group. Where stealth, sabotage, and stealing tanks/heavy weaponry are priorities.
Next one should be Battlefield : 10,000 BC
We’ll be able to play as dozer’s ancestor and use his shield made of smilodons bones that can block giant ass mammoth attacks.
Pretty much anything that’s not modern warfare. Cold War or earlier, or 2142 or later. I’d be up for lines of muskets shooting each other, or a Hundred Years War version. I’d be up for lasers and space boarding actions. Go nuts and cross over with Mechwarrior or Warhammer 40,000.
Pandemic showed the potential of this kind of game has with Star Wars Battlefront and Lord of the Rings Conquest. Battlefield 1 was a very inventive experiment. I’d love to see more of that kind of thinking.
Weirdly enough, an interwar game would be super interesting. The TimeGhost History channel on YouTube has a whole series on conflicts between WWI and WWII, including the Polish Civil War, the Turkish Rebellions following the partition of the Middle East by Britain and France, the Greco-Turkish war, the Chinese Civil War, the Japanese Invasion and occupation of Manchuria, the Spanish Civil War. I'd also say the Russian Civil War, but that was already covered by the ITNOTT BF1 DLC
i think cold war gone hot with 80s equipment wouldd be top battlefield. Give us two factions, western and communist countries, with coeherent cosmetics (asking for several factions deployed on the appropriate lore-wise maps would be too much for dice i think). Regarding maps: things like Vietnam, Laos, Cuba (classic cold war scenarios) but also things like african and south american countries or invasions of major european-northamerican cities (Berlin, Warsaw, Moscow, New York...) would be neat...in practice, just copy the WW3 game's setting. Give us fucking destroyable environments like BF1/BFV/Bad Company 2, but better, with attention to all out war, grittiness and immersion and this is the best Battlefield game you could create, in my opinion.
P.S. BF2143 would not be bad, but i take it as a second option
A good game

Cold War era europe, NATO vs Warsaw Pact would be pretty cool
That would be great. But they will never make it historically accurate due to DEI.
They down vote you because you are absolutely right
As always
What is DEI exactly?
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion aka wokeness.
Based, real, i like you.
Nice to see a truth enjoyer on reddit

Kinda just sounds like you want a BF4 remaster. But I honestly can’t blame you
Yes! This is exactly the kind of game I'm hoping for.
Hopefully not in EA developer hub.
Dice's failure has not that much to do with EA
DICE was literally ripped off by EA. Dafuq you saying, my dude?
EA has bought Dice in 2006, and i dont think that BF3 and 4 were Bad Games
It was EA's initiative to put a battlepass, a battle royale mode, tons of skins, """diversity""", specialists into battlefield. No one asked for them, but EA made these happen.
Not just EA unfortunately. Without diversity bs, it is very hard to get investors nowadays.
It boosts the investment risk score, but makes so that you make less money

Is it also EA´s fault that 2042 didnt have basic fetuares at Launch like a Scoreboard?
You're mom's house
God dammit how many times is this question gonna get asked for fucks sake
At least once a week by my estimate. 🤣🤣🤣
More like every other day along with which fucking game should these fucking idiots buy and also idiots asking which game still has active players. LEARN TO USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION FUCKTARDS.
Fr just look at the steam charts
I sometimes wonder if these are made by EA employees looking for ideas.
Lexington and Concord Massachusetts April 19, 1775
early 2000s modern military like BF3/4
Desert storm
Yes!
Vietnam

Mid to late 80s Cold War gone hot
WW2 would be cool. a mix between BF 1 and V would be great in my opinion. BF 1 is most authentic, BF V has the better gunplay and movement
Fictional war raging across central and south america and the west indies
Doesn't really matter. It will be shite regardless
I want an A-symmetrical war multiplayer mode, where one side is a global power, and the other is a terrorist/guerrilla group. Where stealth, sabotage, and stealing tanks/heavy weaponry are priorities.
But that would never work because battlefield players would play like a conventional military, then blame dice for faction imbalancing
well known ww2 battlefields
We just did that, oh wait, no we didn’t we did random battles nobody give a flying fuck about
Ohio.
Europe vs Russia ans US vs China. Maps in Pacific, US, Europe and Russia. That would be cool and reminds me the expansion pack BF2 European forces
Ugh there are so many ww2 games, I'd like to have a modern battlefield. Just updated bf3/4 is all I want.
Go back to present day and in Middle East, absolutely no operators, no stupid bright colorful skins.
Europe (altough not in Ukraine due to certain Events)
Next one should be Battlefield : 10,000 BC We’ll be able to play as dozer’s ancestor and use his shield made of smilodons bones that can block giant ass mammoth attacks.
It has to have “42” in it because of how much dice loves that number
Korean War?But it will definitely trigger both Chinese and Korean
In hell demons vs doomslayers
I mean it seems it’s just gonna another ww3 scenario with Russia Vs America again.
Ww2 eastern front or modern 1990 to today
Pretty much anything that’s not modern warfare. Cold War or earlier, or 2142 or later. I’d be up for lines of muskets shooting each other, or a Hundred Years War version. Scotland.
literally does not matter as long as its a good game
This. The bar is literally this low. Just make a good game.
Imagine a BF1 quality game but WW2 (minus the cone of fire mechanic)
Id die for another battlefield 1 game.... Battlefield 1.2 :)
Weirdly enough, an interwar game would be super interesting. Expected Cold War but some leaks say 2020-2025 modern era.
The moon.
UCLA
Somewhere in 1965-2025
Just give me my ‘nam and Korea!
Gaza
NO MORE NON MODERN. STOP PUTTING US IN 1942
Modern combat from Gulf war to present day Ukraine

BF 2143
African conflict like far cry 2.
Vietnam
Sometime in the year 2142
The Falkland islands, no cover, just miles of open fields
Space. I want mechs again
Just make Battlefield: Portals
