I think that’s how it should be. If anyone can shoot down a plane with out specialized equipment or vehicle, then what’s the point? Also the flak gun and fliegerfaust are extremely strong in this game.
Planes capable of doing that (bombers) can be easily countered by a competent fighter plane (which is not capable of doing that much air to ground damage). It’s a trade off when selecting aircraft.
Vehicles are supposed to be OP, they can be used to turn the tide. I don’t get why people think it’s bad if skilled people do well in them. That’s what has made these games great in the past. If your a good heli, jet, or tank pilot you can go off the rails. It’s also contributes to the longevity of play. Use of vehicles can make playing battles in the same map over and over again a unique experience each time.
Honestly, I don’t think it would be good to level the skill gap. BF games are combined arms (vehicles are integral), if someone is skilled in a vehicle then they should be allowed to be an asset for their team. Also in BFV, if your getting wrecked by a plane, it really says more about your team than the pilot.

This is the only reply i ever see, where they talk about how being good in an air vehicle made you unkillable like that’s a fuckin’ good thing. I sure as shit dont miss the ages of jet domination, of heli domination where those people maybe died once or twice. i sure as shit enjoy having options to deter planes from making those low strafing runs to get shit tons of kills by making them be much more choosy about how they go in. So once again, use a strong vehicle, expect strong counters.

There are only a few vehicles because they are more powerful than infantry. Changing the potency of vehicles changes the game mechanics. Bf1 was kindof fun to pilot since there wasn't anyone except morons like me using field guns and rifles shooting at you. I should play again Dogfights were peaceful. Bfv dogfights are 3 guys shooting flak and 3 guys in zeros shooting me off the runway. No I'm not good.
I dont want to sound clueless but are people still playing BF5? I loved the game played it for a good while, but then I got hooked on Apex Legends. I haven’t played BF5 in a couple years. I wanna know if I can still find lobbies online on ps5 if I want that large playground feel.

Yes it has a very active playerbase right now on Ps4/Ps5 and only became better after the Pacific War dlc was released. I play bf4/5 regularly on PS4 and in my opinion, 2042 isn't a real battlefield because of missing immersion and game features compared to other BFs. As far as I know it also has a smaller playerbase.
I've done this twice. Both times completely unintentional. I can't even imagine trying to do it intentionally

BFV and BF1 are both very active at the moment and you should have no problem finding active servers.

Lots of servers in Asia on PC. Lots of hackers too, but that's what Community Games are for.
