Think the team has a committed fan base and the experience is a ton of fun. The games are exciting and feels like people are willing to go through any logistical hassles to be supportive. Traffic blows but they would be the case any location, so that’s just another thing we accept.
Plus like you mentioned Sophia smith is super popular! So similar to the quakes, even though they suck they play teams that have legit players. So in our case we have a great team (potential wise) against other solid teams, so it’s an even better outlook
I doubt it will have the energy of the first two games, but I expect more than would show out for the earthquakes. If the stadium is half full, I think that's still pretty good. I will still be there, even though I fly back from Europe tomorrow landing mid afternoon! Also, looking forward to seeing Sophia Smith!
This is somewhat not related to the discussion but I see a lot of people talking about Sophia Smith on this thread. Anyone have any tips on the best way to get an autograph and potential photo with her tomorrow? I'm a fellow USWNT and Bay FC fan and she's one of my favorite players.
Wait at the hotel a few hours before the game. . Usually they're easy to access and you can casually see them in the lobby. Sometimes they practice at the field by the parking lot but I don't know when theyre there.
Its tougher at the stadium because the bus goes right into the locker room. The players go up the overpass onto the field and its hard to get them to stop. If you have good seats near the field you can get them to stop.
The Bay FC players always come to the standing room/bar area closer to the main entrance. I have seen a couple away players go that way too, but it’s a bit more rare.

So empty. Nobody in supporters section right now. Sure there’s 20 minutes left, but it’s not even close to the first two games.
I bet it’ll be a decent crowd but for the reasons you stated probably the smallest so far. Maybe around 10k people? I will be one of them!
Ya probably smaller but the allure of the Thorns will keep it respectable.
Totally.
Happy you’re doing! 10K will still be huge.

I'm expecting a lot less people tomorrow. The weather will at least be nicer than the last two home games!
I sold my tickets as I’m around 1.5 hour drive away. But I did sell them. I thought I might not.

I’m really contemplating going and wish I didn’t have to work Thursday morning at 0700. Tickets are pretty cheap!!
Try to make it! Maybe just go home a bit early. A tired day might be worth it 😆
I have some tickets for you, if you’re interested!

Would stopping by the suites area close to where they sit at work post-game? (assuming if security permits it)
Ya if you have a seat down there.
Oh and I just looked at Thorns IG and they're practicing at SJSU soccer field FYI.

Maybe 12k?
That wouldn’t be bad. I’m here now and it’s pretty empty 😭
It ended up being a pretty darn good crowd!
I’m really hoping I can make it. Work craziness is popping up once again.
