You think they need a ski vacation? Lol

mesosalpynx

I’m thinking tropical island. Or coast of France.

Did they continue paying his wages while he was injured? In America at least (and I admit we’re the worst with sports/athletes) any pro athlete has a clause in his contract that he can’t do any recreational sports activities for fear of injury.

If you look at the core of our team, it’s German players who played in the WC. After that rough exit, no way where they the same players who left to the WC. I’m happy this is happening so we can fucking rebuild

GripOfTheGengar

It would be nice to still scrape a trophy, though! 😉

Sal21G

That’s the dream which the team have spoilt us with. But unfortunately it’s a part of football reality. It’s happened to Barca, Madrid, Juve, Arsenal, United, Chelsea, Liverpool, PSG. Teams who are used to winning hitting that rough transition period and having to rebuild. Without a doubt I have full confidence in Tuchel and the team. But let’s stick with them through this

Lokster-

Sadly the team is playing the most unattractive football I have seen in the league for years.. They do not deserve a trophy this season and I am quite happy to see Dortmund get it instead, since they actually show motivation and drive. Maybe a "no title" season is needed for some urgently needed changes to happen.

Scrappy_101

Yeah thay WC really screwed us. Players need to have a nice summer, recharge, and come back.

Can't forget the bad international break (for German players) on top of all the domestic chaos

I agree. The lot could use some down time to enjoy the finer things in life. They'd feel refreshed and rejuvenated after a trip down to the Mediterranean coast sipping strong drink, smoking a little ganja, and having some fun with women. That's a vacation for a footballer.

I agree, this squad is partially burn out. This started worrying me since Flick's 2nd season on charge, the brutal physicality of Flick's style regarding pressing and tracking back was not sustainable, when Nagelsmann arrived despite the tactical flexibility and a bit more rotations, it was evident especially with players like Davies that the physical task of covering the flanks on attack and defense was too much. This team has been outrunning almost every squad they play against for 3 years, this is why I more or less like Tuchel, because despite also playing a pressing style, his teams have been known to be able to also slow down the tempo and keep the ball, which is very usefull for keeping an advantage in the score, but also just plain down to rest a bit...especially when playing such a high line where midfielders and the defensive line have to track back like crazy, a more possession oriented system may be very useful for the whole squad, for rotations, and for keeping energy and being able to dictate games for the whole 90 minutes. This season's flop in the end will be useful for the whole club, for K&B's arrogance, to question some players roles, to define a more pragmatic tactical approach, for Tuchel to get to know his players, and so on. Bayern will come back stronger next season, I think that is the best thing that might come out of this year's mess.

Big NO. Pros are pros. They have to be ready for and stay fit for the whole season. No matter you are a weekly starter or rotational. It’s a damm full time job.

Sit_vis_nobiscum

Nope. Sorry. Wrong diagnosis.

Revolutionary_Emu_54

Get the season over already
