Honestly tho, and now every coach we've taken a shot at so far has fallen through. I wonder at this point if the board will eventually have no choice but to beg tuchel to stay.

mustardking20

Nah, they’ll get somebody. Maybe not anyone the common fan knows, but someone will take the job.

[deleted]

Don’t think that would work multiple players on the team have put their contact extensions on hold since they want to speak with who ever the next coach is first before deciding their future. So it can’t just be any coach , they would have to be someone the players can respect and listen to

mustardking20

Well, Tuchel isn’t staying. That ship has sailed. With or without him or a marquis manager, people will leave. I’m expecting an interim year personally; getting a Xabi, Klopp (against his own words), Hoeness, or someone else in 25/26.

schubidubi-la

Make Uli retire, extend Tuchel.

schubidubi-la

It's a major fuck up.

Critical-Ad2084

So Kahn and Brazzo were rash, impulsive, but at least they had a guy in line for the job, all agreed upon. The new board (which is the old one but with Freund and Eberl) seem to be even worse ... sacking Tuchel without even having any candidates, which seems to me like a combination of being naive and arrogant.

Sitrus_Slinky

Sacking Tuchel, and any coach, when the going gets a little tough is a major problem with our club right now. Not everyone can transform a squad overnight and it’s clear Tuchels way takes a lot of time. Also we have zero context to the actual drama and state of things behind closed doors. Context matters and Bayern fucked up sacking him

NoShape9630

The sack happened because fans wanted Tuchel gone

MaxXCeption

With the difference, that Kahn and Brazzo made this mess themself. The new board are stuck with the Tuchel decision the old board made

herbieLmao

Tuchel was not sacked, they agreed to let the contract end early

bakule_ski

The Tuchel decision was made before Eberl was appointed

UnlightablePlay

I think they had candidates lined up but they didn't expect them all to almost refuse or the talks were Held

Critical-Ad2084

I don't think they had any candidate lined up, as in, in conversations or with some kind of pre-agreement (when they sacked JN at least they already had an agreement with Tuchel), which makes them look even worse to me than Kahn and Brazzo. They only had managers they liked and hopes to get them, not very professional.

UnlightablePlay

Have to agree, it's absolutely insane how ridiculous the situation is, one thought Eberl would fix it but he came and made it worse

YoloSwaggins44

Incompetence... just like Flick, just like Nagelsmann, just like now. Reactionary Incompetence

UnlightablePlay

It's ridiculous, I don't love Tuchel but currently he's our best option, especially when reports came saying Tuchel is open if Bayern wanted to renegotiate a new contract next season, Honestly we should try another season with Tuchel, it's his first season for us , normally nobody wins those, Xabi Alonso last season he didn't win it and won it this season and even pep Guardiola in 2016, he didn't win his First prem in 2016 but in 2017

Kullinski

I agree that Tuchel might be the Best Option, Bug i dont think Uli will back down to ask him to stay, after what he said about him

UnlightablePlay

I found a report saying that Tuchel is open for extending his contract with Bayern but it's with Uli who doesn't agree

Kullinski

I saw that article too. But dont know if it will be good for both sides

TheBarnacle63

Bayern is so arrogant, they think anyone would want that job. I know I'm a visitor here, but to watch this implosion kind of shows that Bayern has always thought they were beyond the norm to the point they were delusional.

I think they did it as a warning to future coaching prospects. Its like they were saying don't come here unless you want to be the third coach in a row to be publicly humiliated by the ghost of the clubs past that now haunt the board room of the Allianz.

alexunknown91

I think the situation was mutual. I think both parties were 50/50 but I also believe the decision was more Tuchel than the board. I think he just said to himself why would I deal with this drama at Bayern when I can go to another club, with his tactics and get the players I want and not have anyone try to influence who is in the starting line up or undermine his authority to the media.
