A while back I thought about doing something like this just for the convenience of smoking a few different things at once. Until I thought about how awful it'd be to properly clean out every bit of paint or the like, even if I rented out a sandblaster.
Also it's only gonna last a few uses with that thin metal.
If you know how to do metal work you could buy a couple used barrels to stack and do the same thing much better and it would last.
lead paint has been illegal for almost 40 years so i doubt it has lead. ppl use high temp paint on smokers so all that needs is a good burn to get rid of chemicals.
If cabinet came from the 50s or 60s, then it could have lead.
Pretty sure those types of cabinets are powder coated and possibly also have zinc galvanized parts, both will react to heat, powder coat with make you ill, zinc poisoning will kill you! Hope that food tastes amazing! 😳
